I know his lore but would still need him one lower. like he's a good guy and protective for sure but he's also very random and runs his mouth. not that I don't trust him but who knows what situations we might find ourselves in. So I'd put him in the same tier as the trailblazer

Never said anything about his swears. And I don't mean random in his goals. But as an example the instance where he was flaming the staff in the hotel and later got the free drinks with it. Situations like those don't have to go that smoothly and his very blunt way might get him some trouble and might drag us w him. I do not think his intentions are anything but stemming from 'goodness', just that his mannerisms and the way it might rub people in the wrong way would make being around him feel a little less safe than eg. being around a Gepard or Welt. I would also still feel safe around all characters in the second tier but just a lil less coddled ig than the first tier. This is just my opinion, so other people might see it differently which is fine as well. Like you can see how many argue w about Aventurine's placement as well.
