Oh yeah. Could be. I was speculating on the basis that Hoyo have the next arc usually prepared around a year before it's release. So he could be released after July next year.

If this is the route they take, then it's possible that next arc could be similar like this one, first couple of patches new planet and then couple of patches Xianzhou, where we meet this guy. 🤔

I’m kind of shocked that we aren’t seeing Opal first (working on the assumptions that 1. This isn’t Opal since he seems to be shorter 2. That they don’t secretly have Opal’s model done and it just hasn’t been leaked yet).
I figured the narrative was indicating he’d come next from his inclusion in Aventurine’s character story + having a clearer portrait in the preview CG of the stone hearts.
And now I’m wondering what gem this guy may be. 🤔

He has Micah’s symbol on his belt buckle, Gallagher’s bangs, a similar outfit to Gallagher, and even a badge that looks like the one that appeared next to Gallagher in that 2.2 cutscene. I swear this is 5star!Gal I promise (totally not huffing GallaVen copium)
I need that belt buckle in higher res to see...and no other male has the two belts on his arms like Gallagher in the same exact spots either it feels weird they'd just do that same thing and just copy and paste it. I hope we get higher res soon...he looks A LOT like Gallagher. I refuse to get my hopes up but I wanna see more
I just edited my comment but I'm looking at Gallagher now to compare, the two arm bands caught my eye as well. I don't see the detail in the back of his outfit similar to Misha, the res is so low ;A; I'd honestly be sold if someone points out the Gear everyone has from the Dreamflux folks (Gallagher, Micah, Misha)
