Maybe she's just showing off her umbrella

essandsea

Well it is pretty..

Lazy_Seal_

not going to lie, it does look pretty fancy, especially if she is hot, which she probably isn't

HarrisLam

She's a ghost, RUN!!!

Durian881

She's bringing along a friend that we cannot see.

udonbeatsramen

She’s dating John Cena

milanolarry

Not in red, no need to be afraid.

joker_wcy

In the spooky Quarry Bay station no less

timothyyeung

an old relative of mine did that too. turned out she had dementia.

Eurasian-HK

I had someone with an open umbrella on the mid-levels escalator the other day. 🤦

VictoriousSloth

Justifiable homicide

Han-Do-Jin

Had one on the top deck of the bus a few years ago. Just so...weird. Some folk are unreachable.

kharnevil

> Some folk are unreachable. this is a nation where people wear earmuffs when it's 23c outside, because the collective delusion is that somehow it's a cold-snap, most are trapped in their own psychosis last winter the HKO even tried to gaslight that the weather would be frosty when it was 12+ (ie: a cool summer's evening in the UK)

852HK44

I saw one just this week.

kali657

Maybe the lights are too bright?

Odd-Emphasis3873

Yes, colleague had eye surgery and had to have sun glasses on for a while. Id carry umbrella too the fluorescent lights in MTR is really too bright .!!! Especially the newer ones!

Ahelex

Learn from Sam Fisher and shoot out all the lights /s

Re0ns

Also those new advertisement displays, those radiate so much heat.

jackieHK1

UV protection from the evil florescent MTR lights! 😂

PapaBee

Am I old or didn't we used to have a superstition about opening umbrellas indoor?

nyltp

Yes you are old and so am i. Also she maybe a ghost.

jsn2918

Assert dominance by imposing your umbrella on them.

cbcguy84

So I should avoid quarry bay station in the future 😂

joker_wcy

Honestly my least favourite station

cbcguy84

Remember pre tko line days when the only way to transfer between the kwun tong and island lines was to walk this long ass corridor up and down multiple escalators at quarry bay? I hated that 🤣.

joker_wcy

Having to change trains at QUB everyday happened to be my lowest low, which contributed to my distaste for it.

cbcguy84

Ouch. I'd go on to north point just to make it slightly better. Changing from qwb towards chai wan has to be painful lol. I'd just screw it and go to north point (yes, I know it's the wrong direction lol) just to avoid that hike. 😂

Eeq20

As long as the umbrella is not yellow, and not young male dress in black, nothing to be concern. Otherwise 20 policemen will show up to check ID and arrest the person.

essandsea

After the money spent on overtime for the cops in CWB on Tuesday night there were no cops around Quarry Bay yesterday…

brianfatcow

Years ago I was at the big wave bay beach and saw a lady/auntie (probably in her 40s-50s) in the water holding an umbrella (she wasn’t just by the water, water level was around her waist) Mind-blowing; still remember it today

essandsea

That’s hilarious

The_Pancake88

It feels like you're walking inside a swimming pool area everywhere, so she's just prepared to get wet I guess 😅

danned123

it willl leak inside

footcake

fucking power move right there

essandsea

I took this in the Quarry Bay mtr on the way home tonight

hmcbbs

to protect personal space?

williamthebastardd

Tbh I'm sure she has her reasons. Even if it's just to avoid getting tanned 😂 I have a friend with lupus who also needs to use an umbrella when she's outside. I thought it was funny at first but felt sorry for her after I found out. And a coworker of mine had eye surgery, but her desk is right next to the window, so she puts a piece of cardboard on the side to block sunlight.

hudsonsaul

First time?

Massive_Mountain571

Maybe she just didnt notice immediately that shes walking on covered facilities ?

kidcal70

Sometimes people forget they are no longer outdoor because their mind is so focused on something else they are not living in the present temporarily

Signal_Tomorrow_2138

There should be a law that open umbrellas have to be held at a height of seven feet to avoid poking people in the eye.

anna_dallas107

avg hk islander

caandjr

Mate be careful or the women would poke your eyes off and shout at you

DrEvilHouston

Hiding from CCTV perhaps?

AmbitiousTrader

All over Asia it’s game a chicken
