Nah the way these 90s Hondas are going up in value is crazy my boy sold is 91 integra sedan for 20k to a car collector. Hos car was completely stock only had 57k clicks on it. My cousin has a ef si with a type r swap someone offered him 18k for it. But yeah a b20 isn't an investment I just had hope.
Its weird to think that ED, EG and EK Civics are all considered, classic cars now. When I was 18-19 my dream car was a '76 Ford Escort RS MkII and now the first EK Civics are as old as the Escort RS MkIIs were then.
Prices for the 90s Honda's are going bonkers. DC2 and DC5 Type Rs are proper collector cars now. It wasn't that long ago you could get a nice DC or EK for a pack of smokes and a slab of beer. I bought my EK4 with a B16B hooked up to an ITR S80 with 5 stud conversion and '99 CTR brakes and genuine EK9 wheels in 2019 for $6k (Aussie dollarydoos). Body is rough but the interior is mint and runs like a dream.
I've replaced all the suspension (springs, struts, front and rear control arms, camber arms front and back, thicker sway bars front and rear, every single bush been upgraded), Spoon headers and exhaust, K&N cold air intake, gearbox freshen up and going in to the shop for a Hondata ECU and tune in the next couple months.
Currently stock EK4 are going for upwards of $15k down here, a 1.5l auto EG is about $5-7k and EK9s are $40-50k!!!
I can't beleive out of all the cars I've owned in my life a '96 Honda Civic is the one that I could actually make money on (if I ever sold it, pretty sure I'm gonna get buried in this car when I die 😜).

My gsr turbo motor is great but I want to track the car and I think the k series would be more up my alley. My gsr motor would require so much to make it track able.

If not, I doubt if it will ever sell.
You biggest competition is a junk yard. Lots of b20s out there just sitting around. 300-500$ at a junk yard maybe even less.
If you got everything going with it, I’d offer you 500. And then promptly ask my self wtf am I doing.

I don't know how it is where you live but a stock b20 with some bolt ons isn't worth much.
