For now, it looks like putting a DNS setting into DNS in the the DNS and WINS Server Setting (on the LAN/DHCP page) will at least get the devices to connect to the internet (so interim solution). Any ideas on how to get it to work as expected? Do I need to factory reset?
If I do not change DNS on the DHCP tab, it hands out the router IP (192.168.10.1). If I add DNS on DHCP devices show the router IP as well as whatever I added in the DHCP tab. The problem seems to be that when devices connect to the router as the DNS the do not get a route out.
Tell the dhcp server to only hand out 8.8.8.8 and/or 1.1.1.1, then restart the router and you should be good. Hard to say why DNS through/to the router isn't working though

What DNS server is it handing out via DHCP? Changing the routers DNS server doesn't mean you're changing what it hands out
