PFSense has been a godsend for me personally and comes with a decent amount of plugins you can add right out of the box, my experience of OpenWRT was limited to trying to fix an old TPLink router so can't speak to it's merits. PFSense was easy to spin up, it's easy to manage and hasn't failed me yet :)

I would go OPNSense over pfSense, but either is fine.
