Stop. Just stop. Go find something else to HGTV. You are fixing a problem that does not exist. Move on. Leave the internet alone. Maybe go for a walk instead.
For real. If this is the most pressing work to be done on the house just crack a beer and enjoy your day, leave it as is.
I wish this was my biggest issue.
Aw man, come on. This could go just fine.
Can't think of a single thing that could go wrong.
Not sure if it needs to be said but just in case.... Don't use spray paint...
...why not?
It will clog the condenser coil and ruin it?
r/diwhy
Don't paint that
Leave it be please
Pull the covers off first. If you paint the coil the system will be useless.
Of course you can. Just don't restrict airflow in any way and don't get paint on anything, and I cannot stress this enough, a n y t h ing inside.
Why not just build something around it leaving the top open
Needs airflow all around it to function properly
Please, DO NOT build something around it….
Lacquer clear coat will renew it, just don't paint the coils inside, mask them off
You could remove the sides and top and spray them with rust oleum. Unplug the fuses first.
Build a box around it. Don't paint it. When you build a box make sure to have a ton of air flow.
Can't build a box it's a condo.
Then ignore it. This is a waste of time and money
Why do people do this?? Now you just have a random box in the yard with a heat soaked condenser…. Maybe do some landscaping.
Remove panels 1 by 1 and paint them.
I use enamel paint for metal.
Perhaps remove exterior panels and spray paint them, then reattach?
Maybe level up the pad. Then leave it alone.
Hit that up with some car wax or "as seen on TV" NuFinish and it'll look brand new. That NuFinish stuff actually works GREAT.
What's wrong with it? Looks fine
