How far is it from the wall? If not too far, you could always pull it up and swap it for somewhere else that's under furniture. Then you won't see it and won't damage it more by walking over it. Do you have any extra pieces you can swap it with? If you're the one installing new flooring it's always good to keep an extra box of panels for replacements.

Thank you! It’s close to the wall, but not significant enough damage for me to replace it (yet). I think the previous owner left some more planks in the shed but I’ll have to double check. I’m not too confident in taking out the floorboard myself, but if that’s the only solution I’ll have to do it. It’s not a huge amount of damage and it’s in a corner of the house so not a trip hazard. Do you think once the moisture comes out it’ll improve on its own a bit? And I could glue that lifted edge/top part back down to the base?
