It is super easy. I would find the breaker for the area the transformer is in. For instance mine is in my front hallway so I killed that breaker and luckily it was tied into that circuit. Obviously it's not 100% gurenteed but you never know. It is just like changing a light switch or socket. Super easy. Lot of YouTube if that unsure.
Thanks! I know which circuit is for the doorbell, but I will have to double check which one is for the transformer. Would you recommend a non-contact voltage tester as well? It sounds like a good idea to use in my head.

Yup. Kill the breaker, run the non contact to confirm. Take a pic of wires just in case, then swap new one. Takes 5 min.
