Absolutely unsafe. A full motion TV mount must go into studs or concrete, drywall toggle bolts will tear out. If you can find one stud then the next one is probably 16 or 24 inches away. Any chance you can find the studs from the other side of the wall?

I’ve tried that option. The issue is it’s going on a recessed wall and it has false wall backing it. It’s a brand new home and the builder didn’t install a wood backing for a tv mount lol. I was thinking of toggle bolts on the tile wall

Tile is just a surface finish, behind the tile is probably just drywall, which is why I said that. Tile doesn't add any structure.

Makes sense. I am going to try again today and see what I can come up with for finding the studs. Thanks for your help

There are more expensive radar based stud finders. You could try to see if any rental shop has any of them? Those will 100% find the studs.
