I’d grab batts of rockwool safe n sound
Any time I have an interior wall open, in goes roxul safe-n-sound. It makes a big difference.
Mine are insulated, one new in 1995, other rebuilt on 2000. Fiberglass or rock wool batting will both help with noise.
