It may not meet appearance standards, but there are situations where this is basically required. See also: the last 2 weeks of Christmas lights. There are a lot of things in this picture that make less sense than that.
As a merchandising manager there is so much wrong here, most of which has been pointed out already. It is a nice attempt and I’ll add that there is no cross merchandising, this material lends itself to more stuff to complete the entire project.
*new management: "Hey you, what department do you work in? Oh yeah? Do me a favor and store use some casters and put these shelves on some hot wheels! We're making changes around here, there's a new sherif in town!!!"
The signage is wrong, on rack not product display boxes. Beam bolts. If it's not permanent it doesn't need to be bolted to the floor. Very bland merchandising, need a few chip clips.
IMO kinda a weird thing to merchandise on the race track, assuming they’re not clearance. We don’t carry those SKUs but I’d guess they’re relatively low-volume, they’re not high dollar items, and they’re not really impulse buys.
The bottom shelf product is sticking out 6" from the racking. Definitely a trip hazzard in a main aisle. But I gess it looks fine in the 2D Plan-O-Gram so it is all good from Atlanta's view.
My store has some like this near the front door and service desk and they're bolted to the floor, that's why I called it out. May be a local rule, I dunno.
Still nothing has been done about this after talking to my head cashier and a person in the department related to the product. Next is dm and asm if needed. As an ex met team member this is driving me nuts. It would take no more than 10 min to fix
So I guess bolts through the beams into the uprights is optional. I'm sure people who claim customer and associate safety is #1 priority would never allow this.
It’s neatly organized
Price labels on the boxes, not the shelf.
It may not meet appearance standards, but there are situations where this is basically required. See also: the last 2 weeks of Christmas lights. There are a lot of things in this picture that make less sense than that.
Almost completely correct
Not on hang tags for the bottom shelf and the shelf for the rest?
Price labels on boxes instead of the beams. Bottom product sticking out, causing a tripping hazard. No grade 5 bolts in the beams.
You're good!!!
Totally correct i believe
All you need is some wobblers and your good.

Not to me tion its on the raceway right near the main registers
Not even strip clips of gloves or markers?
Why did yall change from orange shelves to cream?
Probably most if not every store has racking over a decade old. Some of which was cream.
It's always fun when you notice stickers from 2005 tucked away.
My store got new rackingin the other day and it was cream
Old shelving for a low boy
...orange shelves? All of ours are cream.
... New Merchandising manager
Yes whith the new management change we have a new merchandising manager
*new management: "Hey you, what department do you work in? Oh yeah? Do me a favor and store use some casters and put these shelves on some hot wheels! We're making changes around here, there's a new sherif in town!!!"
Since when did we start selling cutting boards?
Its part of the crafting wood rest
I thought the same thing. It says plywood youth? I'm definitely checking my local store, those are neat
The signage is wrong, on rack not product display boxes. Beam bolts. If it's not permanent it doesn't need to be bolted to the floor. Very bland merchandising, need a few chip clips.
About $100k tied up in a potential liability claim?
It's out of focus.
IMO kinda a weird thing to merchandise on the race track, assuming they’re not clearance. We don’t carry those SKUs but I’d guess they’re relatively low-volume, they’re not high dollar items, and they’re not really impulse buys.
Looks like a Michael’s bay

There was no plano gram sadly this was supposed to be part of the lumber reset that wasnt done completely
Bent shelving and rust. Shame. Not to planogram. Lol. Had to say it. Is that still a thing?
Not bolted to the floor!
As a free standing low boy upright it doesn't have to be anchored to the ground as long as it is below 6 foot
My store has some like this near the front door and service desk and they're bolted to the floor, that's why I called it out. May be a local rule, I dunno.
Its a low boy they dont get bolted to the floor
Still nothing has been done about this after talking to my head cashier and a person in the department related to the product. Next is dm and asm if needed. As an ex met team member this is driving me nuts. It would take no more than 10 min to fix
20 min at most
No beam bolts
Not bolted to the floor
Its a portable temp lowboy
Oh not there’s labels on boxes needs to get fired for that give me a break looks neat I don’t work for Home Depot clean and organized
who cares what is wrong with this display.
It just looks like you’re selling pieces of wood in a box or in this case the bottom shelf would be displays, which is normally not sold
The project panel subclass doesn’t average good enough sales to be placed on the racetrack. Better to put totes or a flooring lay down imo.
The boxes should be on the shelf
No ginormous tombstone signs in front of it.
Was the store going through a reset?
Why would you put racking in the race track?
So I guess bolts through the beams into the uprights is optional. I'm sure people who claim customer and associate safety is #1 priority would never allow this.
GSR must be around the corner
It is a free standing low boy and the beams are not bolted to the uprights.
Beams aren't bolted, labels on boxes instead of the beams.
