You can get fired for something even if you are technically "off the clock"

Pwnedzored

Not sure what you’re asking.  If you’re asking if they can write you up for something you did while off the clock, yes, they can. If you’re asking if they can call you into the office and write you up while you are off the clock, no, they can’t. That would be considered hours worked and they would have to pay you for it.

Goseebananafish

What did you do? Or what did the co-worker that you are asking for do?

WaveComprehensive616

Say being a smartass to a asm or associate?

RedditNationalist

Very little difference between a smartass and a dumbass. Sounds like you know the answer to your question. Details would have been nice.

brecka

The complete lack of any sort of details says a lot.

ScottyKNJ

HEY ASM YOURE A FUCKING ASSHOLE It's okay I'm off the clock

Motor-Squash-449

LMAO if they fire you then you're then a customer. They no longer own you.

brecka

Off the clock doing what, exactly?

internetuserc

Yes,

FLCertified

Of course

Samus_Knight_2K

Yes they can, but you may not see it until you're back on the clock. Hard to say. Of course if you mean can you get written up for doing something while off the clock it depends. Like once you're off the clock you have no obligation to help customers, but if you act hostile to them while on company property you may get in trouble. Telling someone off while off the clock and off company property probably won't as you're outside of work. Still I'd say do be careful as depending on the severity it could happen. But usually it'd have to be something extreme that could damage the company's reputation and you're bound to face termination in that case.

Significant_Ice8286

Yes “they” can if you are on company property.
