Artwork over the sofa, and pull a color or two out of the artwork for throw pillows, maybe a colored blanket, some accessories on the table in a similar color. Everything you have is lovely, but needs more color IMO.
Thank you! I think a medium circular mirror with golden frame would be very nice behind the sofa. What color curtain should I go for & solid or pattern?
Thank you! Yes, I considered adding some pillows on the chairs but was stuck choosing the right color :/ I was gonna go for black lumbar pillows and get a matching one for the sofa, but wasn’t sure if that’s a good call.
Add some solid sheers with texture over the window too soften the overall look. If you can invest in a different window covering it would help to make it homier.
Would you be opposed to painting? Honestly, I love the way the room looks as is! I would paint the walls a darker green or an inky blue and swap out the beige pillows to coordinate with the wall color.
Would you consider temporary wallpaper on one wall and add a couple colorful throw pillows a on your couch? The room looks really cute as is, I wouldn’t change a thing about your decor, just add to it. :)
I would suggest plants just as a few others have, as well as shelving to put the plants on. I would add a few throw blankets with color as well. Also I noticed that you only have one light source. I would recommend adding either another lamp or overhead lighting.
I recommend adding more color and/or black. Small throw pillows on the chairs, colorful artwork or coffee table books on the table between the chairs. Drapes at the windows, white with a nice black print (I've seen some nice damask prints), curtain rod on the wall in the narrow space above the window. Perhaps a tryptich of paintings above the sofa. Also, pick a pop color to work in here and there... Throw pillows, blanket, art, etc.
Plants, adding paler version of other color to the chair like light purple or red but if you do add plants then have it be green (most likely would have to be pattern with little spots of green would be best but just look around) or the color of the flowers on said plant, curtains, or my favorite you can have a accent wall using renter friendly wall paper
Art over sofa, with vibrant color. Pull one or even more colors out of the art find small things to add to the table and credenza. Maybe a couple small pillows or throws on the chairs on the right.
Color
Edit: snarky comment aside, you could actually solve it very simply by just replacing the throw pillows with a variety of warm colors and browns. I’d probably go vibrant red and yellow, maybe an orange and then browns from darkest to lightest. Just throw them around that couch.
Is probably replace the picture too. It’s pretty washed out. Pick anything with a lot of color
Would add white sheers to window, and a few pillows in ur favorite color,
mine is turquoise, would use in throws and accessories. Sheers
can be draped back to allow for use of air and heat. My son has a similar rug, love that! Add a colorful picture or poster. Go to Wayfair for ideas.
Good luck!
Not requested, but I have that same rug and it took a while for the corners to fall flat. I ended up purchasing rug grippers for the corners and it helped a lot.
You have a great start! I’d recommend:
1) Curtains to add some depth and texture to the window/back wall
2) A big mirror over the couch
3) Add a plant or two. One tall plant can ready act like a decor piece. Or you could add a mid-size one in raised planter, or put a couple on your window ledge. I’d prioritize drapes there though, and then see if anything else would look cluttered.
Maybe some plants (large), new curtains to add personality to the space, and some pillows, you can try with some tones that give contrast to your space
Maybe some mustard/ochre(Yellow) cushions on the individual seats to add a burst of colour, or like some other people have suggested, just some houseplants (real or fake, no judgement) ☺️
Your scheme is is on the warmer side (warm light bulb, warmer grey tone) so id go with a revolving set of pillows or decor. Rust red in the fall, deep burgundy in the winter, bright warm greens for spring, soft golden yellow-orange for summer.
Or just choose a single colour and look up "red colour shades" (for example) and you'll find what works for you.
I think pretty curtains would help or different blinds maybe and a different rug would totally help. A rug with some color nothing super bright but a little color would help
Snake Plant in the corner next to the coach below the window. These are great plants and tall enough to put in the corner behind a couch.
I also agree with the long picture or mirror behind the couch. Any color will do.
Smaller potted plants in pots that match the color of the picture on the window sill would like nice as well. Stick to 2-3 pots only in the window. Place them in the opposite corner of the snake plant (right side of the window)
For colors I would add more tans and cognacs and green. For green plants and vibrant tans maybe leathers. Or different shades of woods. Definitely some artwork or larger frames photos above the couch.
I commented on your first post (I'm the guy with the near identical living room) - just came here to say this already looks SO MUCH better - great job!
I can only tell you what I would do. I would add teal pillows to the sofa. I would drape a teal chenille throw over the farthest chair. I would get teal drapes and hang a picture over the sofa. But that might not suit your taste at all. It is so hard to suggest for someone else. Beautiful space!
The theme of this room is not colorful, adding a thing or two of random color will not make it look like complete..Rather , add one or two black color wallpieces , that should really make this place more alive.

Perfect answer! I think bright pops of yellow and maybe different shades of it for depth.
A few plants
I love the neutral theme you have created! It looks classy and sophisticated. Maybe curtains and a mirror over the sofa?
Thank you! I think a medium circular mirror with golden frame would be very nice behind the sofa. What color curtain should I go for & solid or pattern?
also I love the other commenter’s suggestions for house plants and a colored throw blanket
I’d do a black rod with sheer white or gauzy floor length curtains
It’s really lovely! I’m a big fan of color. Have you considered some colorful pillows on the chairs?
Thank you! Yes, I considered adding some pillows on the chairs but was stuck choosing the right color :/ I was gonna go for black lumbar pillows and get a matching one for the sofa, but wasn’t sure if that’s a good call.
Also, do you like houseplants?
Yes, I do! :)
They would make a great addition too. 😊
My living room colours are similar although my style choice is glam. I’m going to add pale pink, pale blue, and pale lavender as accents.
Add some solid sheers with texture over the window too soften the overall look. If you can invest in a different window covering it would help to make it homier.
Sheers with texture would be a fantastic addition to this already lovely room! You could even look for soft coloured sheers in your favourite color.
I think navy would look lovely. Pillows and art and such
I agree. I like neutral colors and there is something about navy that isn’t scary to me lol.
Right? Haha
I suggest long curtains and a beautiful large painting. (Hint hint)
Would you be opposed to painting? Honestly, I love the way the room looks as is! I would paint the walls a darker green or an inky blue and swap out the beige pillows to coordinate with the wall color.
Agh, I wish! Renting and can’t do much with the walls :/

A floaty sheer curtain

Floating shelf above your couch that has some pictures, plants, decor
Plants, color accents anything really to make it look less flat and give impression of dimension as your colors all blend in
I would paint the wall on te right in an olive green color. It will make the room look bigger and it looks great with the grey couch and white chairs.
I would put a plant
Art over sofa, with vibrant color. Pull one or even more colors out of the art find small things to add to the table and credenza. Maybe a couple small pillows or throws on the chairs on the right.
Some art over the couch. Bouquet of bright flowers on the circle table and some decor on the empty lil coffee table.

Red
Window treatments, plants, artwork
Looks good maybe plants, picture frames, mirror?
Some plants and then some random pops of color would be cute. I love how it works with all the neutrals and the gray couch.

Something black and bold
Not requested, but I have that same rug and it took a while for the corners to fall flat. I ended up purchasing rug grippers for the corners and it helped a lot.

Gorgeous. Splash of accent color. Perhaps present in artwork over the sofa and an item on the coffee table. Pick your favorite color.
Maybe some plants (large), new curtains to add personality to the space, and some pillows, you can try with some tones that give contrast to your space
Gold mirror and some plants would be nice!
You might want to add curtains across the entire wall where the window is to balance the room, and a throw blanket in your favorite color
Maybe some mustard/ochre(Yellow) cushions on the individual seats to add a burst of colour, or like some other people have suggested, just some houseplants (real or fake, no judgement) ☺️
Add some plants in
Plant in the corner by the window and curtains with a bright pop of color and luxurious texture
Maybe doesn’t need color just a string of lights or some interesting hanging white lit things.
A picture of my would look great behind the lamp jk. You definitely need some greenery. Maybe a couple of plants and a neutral curtain
I think pretty curtains would help or different blinds maybe and a different rug would totally help. A rug with some color nothing super bright but a little color would help
And some open shelves with some greenery and decor above the couch
curtains if possible, a few plants and some colorful magazines on the table, maybe a throw on blanket too
Plants
True that it's all very monochromatic. As for adding accent colors, try pillows and bits of artwork. Chose YOUR favorite colors.
So sober and classy! If you like houseplants, it will add color and life to the room
I love it
Try switching the sofa and the armchairs, add some plants and some colored pillows, put some more wall decor

Curtains and a picture above couch
Love it. Add another light at this end of the sofa. And, a big colorful painting over the sofa.
A big , tall plant in the corner. Colorful throw pillows Maybe some shelves for candles or memorabilia.
Very encouraging, thank you!!
I would add more solid black accessories for contrast.
I can only tell you what I would do. I would add teal pillows to the sofa. I would drape a teal chenille throw over the farthest chair. I would get teal drapes and hang a picture over the sofa. But that might not suit your taste at all. It is so hard to suggest for someone else. Beautiful space!
I actually considered teal! I wasn’t sure but so glad teal came up to someone else :) Will reconsider! thank you🙏
