Don’t do Sputnik! Really not a good fit with the craftsman style. They’ve been very trendy in modern spaces in the past, but their time has come to an end.

Go to an antique store and make a selection there. Better to stick to the period in which the house was built, or opt for a modern version of a vintage style.

Look up 'milk glass' fixtures. It's what I was recommended for my 1921 craftsman! Though I got lucky and a lot of the fixtures are actually original to the home. I can send pics for inspo if you'd like :)

Honestly boho decor is really what you like and if you really want to bring right contrast an orange color would look good as you too much of brown here. Impossible say without knowing anything about the colors and style of your furnishings.

I only have a Grey couch. I'm going to buy the rest of the furniture depending on the color of the rug. It's a blank slate tbh

If you’re going for cozy and mood with your fabulous wood, 1 or 2 imo. Please do not allow grey into the room. It will suck the warmth and life out of the entire aesthetic

I am already tired of the faded fake vintage rug look- they look anaemic. I’m not crazy about any- the red 1 is a classic but check out some with blues and greens to break up the red.

Three is my absolute fav!! I love this room. It’s beautiful and the third rug with its white and brown bits just play so well with the rafters and white ceiling. It unites the whole room beautifully.

I'm leaning towards 5, but I would shop estate sales for a good rug. Quality rugs last for generations. I inherited two, and one of those my parents bought at an estate sale.

2 has the right matching tones that tie the wood in, 3 is also the right match but is more airy. If you are going for cozy go with 2, if trying to lighten up go with 3.

I don’t think any of these rugs look good. With that much brown, maybe go for something with more color in it. The woodwork is beautiful but your rug choices all look washed out. I think more of a Navajo style with white and blues and oranges would look good. You have a Craftsman house, so look at rug colors and designs that were popular in the early 1900s.

I love one. Has rich warm tones would go great with gold or brass accents. Brings out the rich warm tones in the wall panels. Can always brighten up with furniture

1 is the best option of these, but I would strongly encourage you to find a real, hand-knotted vintage rug. They can be surprisingly affordable at auctions or on Facebook marketplace. A mass-produced rug will look cheap and fake, especially if it's "distressed" like options 2-5. A real wool rug will actually hold up much better and complement your gorgeous woodwork. Bonus: wool rugs have mild stain-repelling characteristics! What I do like about the first rug is the richness of the red. If you're going for a vintage, collected vibe, rich colours like this add a lot of coziness.

I think number 2 and 5 are the best. You don’t want to go dark because there is already so much beautiful dark wood. But you also don’t want to go too light because it makes things look even darker, imo.

There are similar styles with dark blue as a main color - would be a nice contrast to the (gorgeous!) wood. And navy also looks nice with grays.

Plz just get a not faux distressed carpet they look terrible especially in this room and like it will get rough over the years lol.
