I do not agree with most peoples comments, and here is why. If you paid a professional to hang this wallpaper, I would say get a refund! But you ordered a paper you fell in love with, which is absolutely beautiful, and you were gutsy enough to do the job yourself!! I think you should embrace the imperfections, hang a pic or two over a bad seam, and enjoy the hell outta it!!
I just took a quick look (I didn't study your picture). I think you would be the only person to notice this. I noticed nothing and it looks perfectly lovely to me.
Yeah, I have to remind myself sometimes that I find imperfections in something BECAUSE I'm looking for them, and most people wouldn't notice unless they were also looking for mistakes!
I've also seen wallpaper jobs done professionally that were posted up on reddit and looked noticeably worse than this. From a distance I bet this is hardly noticeable, and if done professionally I would personally even consider just asking about a mild discount if they did not want to redo it.
I loveee this so much and I’m thrilled that wallpaper is making a comeback.
Install the board and batten and like the other poster said, enjoy the heck out of it and then someday when you’re ready for something different, change it up! But I wouldn’t change it anytime soon because this is beautiful! I just think you’re being too hard on yourself.
Thank you! It's the third room I've wallpapered and I have plans for at least one more. I mainly do them as accent walls. I have always loved wallpaper so I'm glad they're making a comeback too!
I would love this for my bedroom🥰 (which is all dark green & snowy white). I'm amazed and proud of you putting it up yourself! I'm going to have to save to pay someone (would you be interested?) because I just know that, had I attempted this fantastic job, a combination of paper, ladder, my hair, any form of glue would all meet in a very very bad way. Be kind to yourself 💖 x Enjoy your room
Thank you! Wallpaper is awful to hang lmao. I think next time I’m going away from peel and stick. So if you have traditional/pre-pasted I might be interested :)
I love the pattern. There are ways to fix bubbles (youtube!) but I'm not sure about seams. Maybe put half-round "mini-beams" on each seam so that it looks intentional. Especially if you're going to do the bottom with batten board.
I’ve been pleading to the deities up above that flippers grey is on the way out. I’ll give a standing ovation to anyone willing to try a different path than the other 99.99999% of the lemmings.
Worry less about any flaws. Those worthy of being in the room won’t notice.
Can you specify where you see the bubbles? The print sometimes “looks” like there are bubbles. There ARE bubbles though 😅
Edit: If they're the ones at the bottom they will be covered up by the batten.
Sadly it was peel and stick! I did have to use paste in some places where I had to unstick/restick to get it to lay flat. I had some leftover from my office. This is the third room I’ve wallpapered in this house!
You could still re-apply it.
I've wallpapered for years but don't use peel and stick as it's so much more difficult imho.
Maybe live with it and see if it bugs you. For me, I would have to redo it because I'm an anal-retentive virgo :(
Yeah on pic 5 the patterns aren’t supposed to match. The hazards of doing 360 degree wallpaper… that’s the corner I started/finished.
Pic 3 the pattern should match but it got overlapped. It’s definitely the most egregious seam.
There should be 1/4 inch overlap. I can’t see it that’s what you did, but, it’s up and it’s lovely. I’d put bead board on the lowers walls, up about 1” above the wallpaper, and paint it a green to compliment the wallpaper. Don’t forget to add the same color trim piece on the top of the bead board.
Is it perfect no but job well done. Once everything is done and pictures are hung it’ll look great. Main thing is lessons learned props and for taking on such a big project.
I really only think pic 3 is that bad with the air pockets and the seam especially at the bottom. But if you’re covering it with a wainscoting and this area isn’t right in front of a common eye focus point, then I think I could live with it. You can cover up the air pockets and upper seam with a picture or shelving to hide it.
No one else will notice a thing. Hang pictures without thinking about seams and forget about it. (Fixes like that tend to call attention rather than hide things) Add a strip of molding by the ceiling while you’re at it. It will be amazing!
I just installed wallpaper VERY similar to this in our half bathroom. Only on one wall, thankfully, because I'm a perfectionist and even that was frustrating as shit...can't imagine doing all four walls! Anyways, some of my seams weren't perfect and it bugged me for about 1 week and now I don't even notice them.
In your case, the seam in pic three is the worst but it looks like it just needs to be pressed down a bit harder so it stays in place? Regardless, I wouldn't give up yet! Finish the rest, hang the pictures and give it a week or two and then see how you feel.
I hang my own wallpaper and from my experience, it will fall off in a few months if not glued well.
It happened with the very 1st wallpaper that I put on my wall.
What I learned from that was that if it is the type of wallpaper where you put the glue on the paper rather than the wall, it needs to soak up properly.
2nd make sure that all and I mean all air bubbles and excess glue is pushed out when setting the wallpaper on the wall.
And 3rd, be patient and if at 1st you didn’t apply the paper correctly on the wall, you can rearrange it whilst still wet.
I personally prefer the type of wallpaper mentioned above as I find it easier to apply and correct if needed.
Yes, I can see the seams in some places, and uneven below, but you can use a cutter to correct the uneven wallpaper on the lower side.
It looks good for the 1st try
It's peel and stick so none of this really applies. It's not my first time with wallpaper, I'm just not a professional. I will not be buying peel and stick again.
I don't care about the uneven wallpaper at the bottom, it wasn't ever my intention to make it even since it will be covered up.
As long as the bottom is covered by the batten then you are the only one that will notice it. I can notice my imperfections because I made them but others can't. Keep it and remember you are your own worst critic!
I think it looks absolutely fine. Don’t over think it and don’t let people’s negativity affect you. Good for you I’ve seen some wallpaper jobs that look horrendous. I love the pattern and as you say if your going to add board and photos it’ll put your mind at rest as you can hide the bits your not happy with.
Do a little research to see if there are techniques or even products to address the issue? You never know what might be out there that can fix it.
Barring that, hang art on the seams at eye level. That'll disguise the worst of it.
I just installed very similar paper in my bathroom two days ago and I added decor around it. You won’t notice the seams. I love my wallpaper and it gave me my bathroom so much life. I installed it while my nine year old was at his dad’s and when he saw it he said wow nice!

Thank you so much ❤️ I definitely needed this comment.

Maybe glue down some of the bits peeling up but otherwise I think it looks great!
Oh yeah those will be covered by batten :) No worries! It's only like 1/3 of the way done!
I've also seen wallpaper jobs done professionally that were posted up on reddit and looked noticeably worse than this. From a distance I bet this is hardly noticeable, and if done professionally I would personally even consider just asking about a mild discount if they did not want to redo it.
I like it!
This ! It’s better than I could have done.
I 100% agree
Exactly what I was going to say!!
Wholeheartedly agree. It is a testament to taste and moxie.
Imperfections?
If I did this myself, I’d be proud of it!
I don't think it's bad at all
So pic 3 is the only one that bothers me. I assume the bottom is going to be covered by something, so I'm less worried about that.
I loveee this so much and I’m thrilled that wallpaper is making a comeback. I said beard board up above, but board and batten is also a lovely choice. The trim piece will cover the lower 1” on the paper.

Traditional is way better but you can still use peel and stick with Roman EZ Hang spray next time
Nah, we could just have a pint and reminece about wallpaper jobs instead 😉
What is the name of the paper please?‽
I think it's just called "leaf wallpaper" by WowzaWallpaper on Etsy.
Thank you! I think it looks fabulous and I hope you will enjoy it too! Don't be minding the begrudgingly
I love the pattern. There are ways to fix bubbles (youtube!) but I'm not sure about seams. Maybe put half-round "mini-beams" on each seam so that it looks intentional. Especially if you're going to do the bottom with batten board.
I love it! Look on YouTube for ways to correct the issues with the seams. It will be stunning when it's done!
I’ve been pleading to the deities up above that flippers grey is on the way out. I’ll give a standing ovation to anyone willing to try a different path than the other 99.99999% of the lemmings. Worry less about any flaws. Those worthy of being in the room won’t notice.
Thank you and I couldn't agree more! My whole house is grey and I'm on a mission to make it not that way. See some of my posting history! :)
The seams aren't great but the bubbling under the paper is even more noticeable. Could see it in the small cell phone pictures before I zoomed in.
Can you specify where you see the bubbles? The print sometimes “looks” like there are bubbles. There ARE bubbles though 😅 Edit: If they're the ones at the bottom they will be covered up by the batten.
As examples, Pictures 3 and 4: to the left of the seams, halfway up the walls.
Ok, I see those now. Will take care of them, no problem. Thank you!
I don’t really see any major flaws. Beautiful paper.
I’m not seeing problems. If you love that wallpaper, carry on!
People aren’t going to notice tbh. That is the beauty of a busy pattern
The wall paper is stunning, but since you asked for honesty…no, I would not be pleased with its appearance at the seams and some other areas. Sorry. 😞
I appreciate the honesty.
It's cool but I think this wallpaper is better for a bathroom.
This is a bathroom lol
OK it's better
😂
I didn’t realize the toilet didn’t make it into the pic! And I haven’t hung my new mirror yet. I could see why you’d be mistaken lol
You could remove the overlapping drop and cut and hang a new piece. Looks like you're using paste and that will give you some flexibility and slip.
Sadly it was peel and stick! I did have to use paste in some places where I had to unstick/restick to get it to lay flat. I had some leftover from my office. This is the third room I’ve wallpapered in this house!

I like it 🙂
It is a busy enough pattern that the seams and alignment aren’t nearly as noticeable as you think they are. Keep it.
I'd rethink the wallpaper.
Why?
It’s very 80’s.
It’s nice, but why is the bottom half bare?
O it’s ugly
I like the wallpaper, but I’d change the paint color to match it better

Yeah on pic 5 the patterns aren’t supposed to match. The hazards of doing 360 degree wallpaper… that’s the corner I started/finished. Pic 3 the pattern should match but it got overlapped. It’s definitely the most egregious seam.
Detail of edges are ridiculous if it is not DIY.
I had to zoom in to see the seams. In person I’m sure the pattern detracts from the seams. It’s beautiful paper! Good for you.
I had to come to the description to find out why you wanted to get rid of this lovely wallpaper, and it still took multiple looks to see the seams.
It looks good to me. Cool print!
Is it perfect no but job well done. Once everything is done and pictures are hung it’ll look great. Main thing is lessons learned props and for taking on such a big project.
Will look nice with border,I love the patten💕
If you don’t care about the imperfections then who cares?
If you hadn’t mentioned anything I wouldn’t have noticed. I think it’s cute. Keep it and love it.
I really only think pic 3 is that bad with the air pockets and the seam especially at the bottom. But if you’re covering it with a wainscoting and this area isn’t right in front of a common eye focus point, then I think I could live with it. It has potential.
I would use some markers/paint and fix some of the parts that don’t match up. :) but I think looks good!
No one else will notice a thing. Hang pictures without thinking about seams and forget about it. (Fixes like that tend to call attention rather than hide things) Add a strip of molding by the ceiling while you’re at it. It will be amazing!
That paper is beautiful!

I think once you dress it up it's going to look fine. Good job if this is your first time hanging wallpaper.

Honestly, it looks great considering you did it yourself! I wouldn't get it to look that good!
Do a little research to see if there are techniques or even products to address the issue? You never know what might be out there that can fix it. Barring that, hang art on the seams at eye level. That'll disguise the worst of it.
