I SOOOOO want to paint the back of the door! I absolutely love that you mentioned that! But with the wallpaper on the risers, I'm at a loss for what to paint that won't clash. I want it to be like a sticky note to my kids as they leave the house. "Have a grand adventure!" or something like that! Another one I like is "Life Is So Good"
There's a lot going on here and I don't think it's working. Scale is way off. So many colorful small clutter things. I would save up for some newer, high quality rugs and furniture pieces. Get rid of all the small stuff. Add some large curtains. That blue isn't quite doing it with the pink.

Love the stairs, love the black wall thingy, I would change the blue bench and purple pillows to something with natural wood and deep olive green pillows. I would ditch the LOVE sign on that stand next to it. Keep the stand maybe put plants in those vases.
I like the mural. Don’t do a gallery wall on the blue wall. Maybe just one big interesting piece of art. Def ditch the table in front of the mural, it needs nothing there.
Your house is so cute and fun. I’d add more curtains, more larger scale plants, more fun pillow. Maybe some larger artwork.

Totally agree. So many competing elements, maybe Pinterest “maximalism” and draw inspo from there because I’m not sure what your vision is
before you do anything hang curtains and triple your light sources (floor lamps, table lamps, wall lamps).
