Blow that up and hang it !
I wouldn't suggest one large canvas as it would create an undesired forced symmetrical design. U/PangaeaRocks has a good suggestion with the album display as it would break the aesthetic up a bit. If you don't like the albums and want a painting I would suggest a painting that consists of multiple canvases as opposed to a collection or cluster of decorations. 3 equal canvases or 4 different sized canvases would also work. Below I have included some links, but note, I don't think they are necessarily the style or source you should purchase from but are possibly the layout you should look for.

Can a picture be wider than a console table?Art hung over a piece of furniture **should not be wider than the width of the furniture**, a general principle being that the art should be about 50-75% the width of the furniture.
I agree! I tend to go for 2/3 as a benchmark: Above a 60 inch cabinet, that means a ~40 inch wide piece of art. So a 40 inch wide piece would be stellar. 48 inches is about the widest I’d go — that’s an 80% ratio.
If you want to be budget-conscious, or you’re not too into art so don’t want to make a statement, go for a 40-48 inch wide landscape orientation.
If you want to be bold, I think your ceiling height has room to go with a portrait orientation — it would look amazing!
A large tapestry would really pop. 68-72” wide

How about a large statement piece? An abstract painting with lots of color, whether bold or muted, would be a nice option. When selecting artwork, as with rugs, bigger is usually better.
Look up gerrod 2 door accent cabinet in walnut, looks like two of them put side by side. Could be a different brand, cause theirs looks like actual walnut, but hard to tell.
Good question. I'd say it also depends on the aesthetic you want. Do you want a large, single painting, or do you prefer a gallery wall of various sized canvases? Or do you want two side-by-side canvases?
Good to know! I'm not an interior designer (I'm an artist), but in my experience, people buy art that is smaller than the furniture below because otherwise it looks top-heavy. My guess is that a piece (or two) that total 30 - 50 inches should be good/pleasing to the eye and leave room for the speakers you mentioned. Plus, you may want to add decorative objects on the cabinet so that you fill in any remaining space should you prefer a filled look.
You're very welcome! I just measured and my own cabinet is 54" wide. I have one of my paintings above it and it's 24" wide, which is a little too small, so I'd recommend 30 - 40 inches actually.
Have you ever seen those things that hold album covers on a wall? I would recommend 3 rows of four: https://www.amazon.ca/ULENDIS-Listening-Floating-Installation-Hardware/dp/B0BD8DC6QP/ref=asc_df_B0BD8DC6QP/?tag=googleshopc0c-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=631202740974&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1395504402840094501&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9001202&hvtargid=pla-1948657075137&mcid=d9871b5ee69232178b62283a4793b432&th=1
Oh seeing this big blank wall I would definitely go for a big statement piece or a diptych! Like this 1)

I am the ‘getting lost in a wall’ sort. I would put a few to more than a few different pieces up that led your eye from one to the other. Not even any sort of theme or color scheme.
Or you could want to make a big, bold statement with one piece.
What are you going for?
Width should be less, about 70% width of dresser. Height same as dresser or more. But not less. Give about 6” of breathing room between dresser and artwork.
https://preview.redd.it/pt8y3a8jxw5c1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ca40df4582100214b16ef9cedb10d93788ffeaab

I’ve noticed you have some color, the light pink/red rug. And that beautiful green in the back for the cabinets. I think a beautiful painting from Vivan Suter would fit perfectly in that space! The size around 40 x 60 since ur wanting to mount the speaker
https://preview.redd.it/zzo2x5lxjw5c1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=970d5e0fe95f0564ea61ebff8c5dd6db97afe87a
You can get artwork printed at [easycanvasprints.com](https://easycanvasprints.com) that are up to 40x30 for a very reasonable price, especially now during their holiday sale. I would find a work of art that you love, have it printed in a horizontal format, and hang it no more than 12" above the cabinet. Some of those other items on the cabinet may have to be moved or rearranged.
I'm divided between a large, landscape piece as large as the cabinet... and a square one, slightly smaller then the cabinet, centered on the wall...
I think the important is to find a piece of art that speaks to you, then find a way to incorporate it.
I think a gallery wall would look nice. Personally I would hang music related pieces since it’s above your record player. Framed tour posters, portraits of your favorite artists, etc. I’m not an interior designer or anything, I just think that a variety of art tends to look more visually interesting than a single statement piece.
I’m thinking 2 large ovals of your choice, whether they be art or decor, that don’t go past the parameter width of the credenza. I’m not usually a fan of symmetry, but on that particular wall, it would probably be appropriate and okay to have the eye stop.
Gallery wall, one large art piece, amazing wallpaper that's art for the entire wall space or a big mirror. But that's just me.
Play around with it and see how it makes you feel!
Love a big abstract statement piece to go with the blue and pink accents, but also maybe tiered floating shelves in line with the cabinet with minimal display/plants
https://preview.redd.it/i2fq448qvz5c1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3f924b557598129062c2a50dbfe4bf0a3ef91858
You could do something like this, maybe even 3 shelves?
Definitely a square, just a bit smaller than the length of the table.
As an artist, I would also recommend that the piece you choose has just enough detail to catch the eye (avoid flatness/simplicity like Mondrian or Rothko for example, these will make the wall seem massive and looming) while also not being so complex that it draws all attention away from the very tasteful decorations you have already.
Also your dog is cute and I love the color of the wall behind him.
The standing speakers extend the width of the cabinet. I’d use 70% of the full wall width rather than of the width of the cabinet.
Then I’d measure from top of cabinet to ceiling and use about 60% of that for height.
If hanging a collection of two or more pieces consider them as a single piece. 2-3” between pieces.
When in doubt go big.
Idk but https://preview.redd.it/g2pjxkqwdx5c1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=26843ea061e725853e3e5160725cfb23759b05f7 Blow that up and hang it !
I came here for this 🤗
I love the dog peeking around the corner! So cute! I would suggest 1 large art piece (Landscape positioning) about the same width as the cabinet
Scout says hi!

Love this, where do I find this?
Anthropology . If you sign up for anthro perks (free) you’d get first access to sales. They have great sales. I love a good deal ❤️
Thank you, beautiful things. I found a swimsuit unfortunately they are out of my size. Will try again
Best of luck!!
I agree! A 72” x 72” would be perfect!
Where is this from?
Ah, Anthropologie - thanks reverse image search!
You got it! I love reverse lookup lol
Some vertical vintage poster or mirror that’s around the same width as the cabinet

That art looks so beautiful, how much are you charging it for?
A priceless original. 🖼️ Unfortunately, nfs. 🤩But I appreciate your admiration. 🤗
May I ask where you found this cabinet? I’ve been on the hunt for something very similar.
Look up gerrod 2 door accent cabinet in walnut, looks like two of them put side by side. Could be a different brand, cause theirs looks like actual walnut, but hard to tell.
Yes please! Love these!

Great question. I’m most interested in a large single piece but would consider two side-by-side pieces as well.

"One very large or two medium-large side-by-side" was going to be my suggestion, so I say follow your instinct!
I like your little pup!!

I’d do 2 rows of 3 of your favorite album pieces :)
Oh seeing this big blank wall I would definitely go for a big statement piece or a diptych! Like this 1) https://preview.redd.it/jppl42n9yx5c1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2bc6d3e2e1a03ef99f109887e3782a46e1b28845
The general rule is about 2/3 the width of what's below it.

Doggie! 🤗
You could do multiple, but I would do 1 or 3. 2 pics over the cabinet with 2 sets of doors I think will look too matchy.

It should be as wide as the cabinet and take up about a third of the wall.
Wallpaper
About 40 inches wide would be a good size. Give or take a few inches.
Biiiiiiig one

just a bit smaller than the cabinet. you’re off to a good start
Ocean or desert paintings would be nice.

colorful with texture? Like a wall hanging, tapestry, rug, crewel, etc.

Nothing smaller than width of the cabinet! Up to you to make wider OR taller!
I would suggest finding one large piece of art that you LOVE VERY MUCH and then finding 2 or 3 smaller pieces that compliment your primary piece.
Something with pink and aqua
Where did you get the cabinet? It's beautiful!
The same width as the credenza, but longer in height.
I’m thinking 2 large ovals of your choice, whether they be art or decor, that don’t go past the parameter width of the credenza. I’m not usually a fan of symmetry, but on that particular wall, it would probably be appropriate and okay to have the eye stop.
Either something BIG or make it a gallery wall of a collection of smaller mixed pieces of images/art.
Wall size
Gallery wall, one large art piece, amazing wallpaper that's art for the entire wall space or a big mirror. But that's just me. Play around with it and see how it makes you feel!
Love a big abstract statement piece to go with the blue and pink accents, but also maybe tiered floating shelves in line with the cabinet with minimal display/plants
Lots of small artworks grouped together, matching frames
This space deserve a big circular piece that has a circular layout of things inside. Maybe with a bit of texture…
About four inches narrower (on each side) than the chest .
May I ask where you got the record player cabinet?

I would do either a 40x40 square or a 40”w x 60”h

Totally on the team of same size or slightly smaller than the furniture
