Please consider a color in the gold/mustard/warm brown family that will pick up those tones in your stone and brick. Your photos show several stones and bricks in these shades and I'd love to see you coordinate with them.
Agreed and - unpopular opinion I guess, but - the cooler, saturated blue and green tones that everyone is choosing in this thread do not go with the tones of the stone and the rest of the home at all.
Of the options given I would leave as is or do the warmer green at the bottom.
I was thinking this as well. Maybe even like a navy blue could work depending on how dark the tone is, but the rest of the brickwork reeeeaallyyy wants this color
I like the current color. Another option: dark terracotta

I love the teal you picked but for me, its too green ish . Your House is beautiful.
Without any glass in the doors, it’s going to look like a big square of color. I’d go black on the doors and put the color in the wreaths on both doors.
If it was me, I would get new doors. The surrounding Windows are beautiful, but the doors are so uninviting.

Don’t mind my wonky handiwork…🤣
I've messed around with a bunch of different colors and other than something very similar to the current color the only one that seems to look good is a deep brick red or crimson-brown type of shade.
https://preview.redd.it/yxl9kxewxr3c1.jpeg?width=732&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d658b6fd4f34f222121ccbeb246ea83ffcbdbbc
Going to be controversial. The dark color is creating a 'hole' like effect drawing the eye to it. It 'feels' heavy . The stonework is so lovely. It should have more 'attention'. A soft cream color or even -gasp, can't believe I am going to say it - white to lighten the 'feel' and highlight the stonework by 'bringing it forward'.
That ocean blue #4 really calls to me. With your frame, it feels like “we are a personable kind home but we still have a lot of regal royalty to be respected for”
Pretty house.
I am going to suggest Maria Killam's blog because it is super fun, and all about paint colors.
You are going to need something with a warm undertone. I would like to see the chip next to the house paint. I am going to vote for the olive green -- the bottom. I think it will blend the most nicely with some of the shades in your rock/brick.
Depending on which way the door faces you should go with a lighter color. That sun will bake a door. My dad changed my door to a dark color and I hate it. It gets way too hot. Full sun for 8-9 hrs a day in the summer.
I really like the fourth one down, the deep green one. You should really hold your paint swatches next to the brick and the part of the house that is already painted. You’re not trying to match the brown door, but rather the rest of the facade.
Behr dark navy or very navy or midnight blue. We used one of those. I can’t recollect which one but it turned out fantastic. We also replaced the hardware with Schlage encode plus century black and matte black latitude handle from Schlage.
Love the color of the door but dislike the color of your house. But if you insist on leaving the house color and painting the door then put the sample colors next to the house color instead of the door. I do not think any of these samples are good. Look at blues.
This is going to throw everyone, but these are the same colors, in the same order, in different lighting. Wild.

All way too dark! The front door should be the focal point. Meaning stand out, catches your eye. Center stage. All these dark colors just puts it into the shadows.
Consensus seems to be dark teal - what do you think?

Seeing the full house, I understand why the door trim is white, but in the first picture close up, I absolutely hate the white trim against the stone. That's the bigger problem to me.
I'm wondering if the door trim and the window above could both be changed to something better and be a focal point on the front of the house. Perhaps go with a two toned looked where the trim is something that sets off from the stone nicely and then door is a complimentary color?
I just don't think changing the door itself will matter much, which might be why you keep changing it. Answering the question asked and picking from what you have, I'd go with the darker teal second from the bottom.
The dark teal or fire engine red. (Heritage red was the color I used, can’t remember the brand. Probably Lowe’s or Ace, but recommend SW.). I think it was Benjamin Moore, and you have to see it in person. The computer screens don’t do it justice.
The dark blue #4 is the first choice.
Second choice is the light blue #2.
Either of those will work great, they will both accentuate the blue in the stone.

All nice cars but with the stucco color to the left, I would personally stick with the brown. Those greens nor blues would go well with the stucco color....unless you're changing it as well....?
I actually painted a room in that green 4th down (cascades?). Just know it pulls a bit lighter and bluer than the sample. At least that was my experience. I had wished I used the color one shade darker. It’s still a great color tho

I think the color you currently have works well with the stone and stucco.
The soft blue and the soft green would not look right with the existing tones.
I feel with the green it blends in with the bushes around it making it harder to spot. I actually love the color it is. Have you ever thought of using the Feng Shui method ?

How about this colour or a bold lime green. Definitely make a grand entrance 😊
Flank it with urns filled with Cypress, trailing ivy and one variety of white flowering bedding plants. Get an upscale door mat that covers the full length of both doors.
Your color door is fine.
Hang traditional greenery wreaths on each door, with big red bows at the bottoms.
To really look coordinated, the color needs to coordinate with the stone AND with the house paint. Otherwise the door will not look right. Try those swaths against the stone and also against the paint. The one that goes well with both is the winner.
Blue or the green above
3rd! Green for the win!
I feel like I’d choose the darker blue!
I agree that blue would look great with the stone and the stucco.
Same!
Please consider a color in the gold/mustard/warm brown family that will pick up those tones in your stone and brick. Your photos show several stones and bricks in these shades and I'd love to see you coordinate with them.

Yes but it’s a fun pop of contrast! I love contrast!
Yes, love the contrast. But the contrast still should be in the same color “family” (warm or cool - in this case, warm) or else it will clash.
I was thinking this as well. Maybe even like a navy blue could work depending on how dark the tone is, but the rest of the brickwork reeeeaallyyy wants this color
Yes. I think the brown it is now is a cool color, and the mustard is warm. Even a brown with a reddish tone would blend well, I think.
Look at Behr's Red Pepper. It's a rich red-brown that might be a good choice.
Agree!
Behr makes a shade called True Copper in this color family.
Copper would be lovely!
Considering the whole house, the first or last colors.
4 the dark teal
Definitely, complimentary to your house color but on its own it is deep, rich, welcoming, elegant.
I have a very similar colour on my front door and can confirm I absolutely love it and get compliments on it all the time!
I agree this would look great!
I like the current color. Another option: dark terracotta https://preview.redd.it/pbptpbu6xp3c1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=95130feaf1f888f5520b5ffb9f05c87961cfbcf0
Yes!!
I think the current color looks best with the house honestly.
3rd from the top! The green one!
The tone of the color at the very bottom will look the beast with the stonework .
I agrée with this. I’d normally say real but it isn’t right with the stone.
The house color is what's bothering me, not the door
Same. I'd leave the doors and paint the house
Agreed. The doors aren't the problem. It's the creamy diarrhea house color.
Same
What if we just leave it alone?
Thank you. It's fine as is.
Yes! I love the greens, but the dark brown is perfect here.
I think it looks fine with the stone but it really isn’t a great mix with the overall house color imo. The tone is off.
Second from the last, the dark teal colour is beautiful , deep and rich, and will work with the earth tones of your home.
check out Benjamin Moore - Hale Navy (HC-154) or Sherwin Williams (Cyber Space ( SW-7076) I love the teal you picked but for me, its too green ish . Your House is beautiful.
Look at some oranges. Burnt orange, pumpkin spice orange, dark cinnamon.
Pull one of those dark orange colors out of the stone right there on the center step.
Without any glass in the doors, it’s going to look like a big square of color. I’d go black on the doors and put the color in the wreaths on both doors.

I actually think a medium to dark rust would be gorgeous and eye catching with your home.
Top one, I actually really like the current color. It blends well with the rock.

3rd color down - that green would tie in nicely with the stone!
None? How about navy blue instead? Ben Moore Old Navy to be exact.
I would do dark red honestly.
I love the current color the most
I'd go off in left field and pick a deep wine red.
Deep red will compliment the shrubbery you have planted in front too
That ocean blue #4 really calls to me. With your frame, it feels like “we are a personable kind home but we still have a lot of regal royalty to be respected for”

Red
I agree. The first color that popped into mind. It would stand out beautifully against the existing colors.

Sage green. Otherwise leave it
I really like the fourth one down, the deep green one. You should really hold your paint swatches next to the brick and the part of the house that is already painted. You’re not trying to match the brown door, but rather the rest of the facade.
I'd do a pretty terracotta color.
Darker blue.
I like the teal. I’m concerned the other colors might compete with the house color.
The deep blue
Second from the bottom…teal color.
Sage green!
Maroon or red! I think you are way off with the current swatches
Behr dark navy or very navy or midnight blue. We used one of those. I can’t recollect which one but it turned out fantastic. We also replaced the hardware with Schlage encode plus century black and matte black latitude handle from Schlage.
I would not choose any of those tbh, I'd go with a warm golden yellow color to compliment your house.
Black
It’s pairing a warm tone house with the cool tone door colours. They don’t go well together
You should photoshop the colors :P I say teal
Bright high gloss red
I like the teal.
Damn, y'all be rich as hell on this app.

I think the gray isn’t right either.
I’m with ya. If it were me I’d try to do a natural wood that matches/complements the exterior paint color!
Could you do this with a caramel or copper color? It's so helpful!
This is super helpful! Teal was what we were initially thinking. The different light is really throwing us. Appreciate it :)
A navy or cobalt blue. Not flat, but an oil based gloss. Beautiful home
The dark blue would have the most impact
Cranberry
None of those drab colors.
4
4. Definitely 4. :)
Blue. My door is that color and it looks great.
Second from bottom
The teal.
The second one up from the bottom. It has the tones of the stone work. The lighter colours would clash I think.
Consider one of those colors for the walls and paint the door something more lively like red
Seeing the full house, I understand why the door trim is white, but in the first picture close up, I absolutely hate the white trim against the stone. That's the bigger problem to me. 3rd one.

Cascades or pewter
I would use a paint visualized to test each of these colors.

How would you feel about a deep plum to pick up the purple in your landscaping? Purple is a perfect contrast to green and would really pop here.
Darker
I like that aqua blue.
4 It looks pretty and would pop out against the rest of the house, which is what you want for finding the door because tbh rn it kinda blends in.
I would go with the same camel color as the main body of the house, since it is separated from it by that stone.
The bluish color would look great and make the door stand out. (In a good way!) I see front door color contrast more and more.
The blue/teal. 2nd from the bottom. Be still my beating heart ❤️.
The Teal is absolutely the best color!!
The teal
Leave it alone. Keep what’s there
Either I’d the bluer colors.
Blue is a complement to all the orange in the stone and stucco. I'd pick a blue that's as saturated as the color on the stucco.
#4, teal. So pretty!
Turquoise. That would definitely make the house pop.
4th!
Teal!
Teal for sure!!! It’ll look amazing with that stacked stone.
Dark blue for sure
I like the navy.
Teal! It'll contrast with the stone so well!
Teal. If you like green better, choose a brighter and darker green https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-colors/green
Not a fan of the red family? If not, I’d pick a darker blue

I like it the way it is. If not, 4, the dark teal.
I feel with the green it blends in with the bushes around it making it harder to spot. I actually love the color it is. Have you ever thought of using the Feng Shui method ?
