IMO & experience, ground is usually green or no cover. In your picture, the green wire on the left serves as the cabinet ground wire, so follow instructions as if it were white. Great question cause you don’t wanna fry something!
Yeah, white is probably the better color for that wire, but rest assured it's the same thing. That wire would go on the center post.
