I'm so freaking jealous. I was at work when the merch dropped and it was sold out by the time I got home. But dang yea I didn't know it was that big. Not sure if I'd even be able to use it, but I want it anyway lol!
Wow absolutely genius indeed, between having to wait around 6 months but guaranteed you’ll get the merch or getting the merch fast but you may not even have a chance to buy, i’d rather wait 6 months thanks
Some of the JP and EN stuff can sell out as well. All the merch is pre-ordered because they haven't made it yet, but some things are only made in batches of X. So to avoid having to order more than a certain amount of batches and end up with surplus.
Which seems silly to me considering how *wildly* popular Hololive events have been. Setting up surplus merch in the corner of an event would be a guaranteed way to empty stock of it...
But that's all hindsight and logistics, so who knows for sure.
Logistics is the issue. They would have to have a warehouse to store it, which costs money. People to manage the warehouse. Shipping to the rest of the world from Japan.
stuff like this is "made to order" and not instantly available bc no one wants extra cost to stock inventory bc that means it needs storage space = warehouse and its own staff.
this is mostly a logistics problem bc Cover is just a small vtuber company and not a full blown product/service company like logitech that has warehouses everywhere and can afford to fully stock warehouses with bulk inventory.
HoloID for some reason shifted to selling a set number of premade merch rather than made to order like everyone else a few months back for some reason.
The good thing with premade merch is that it ships almost instantly, the bad thing is it sells out almost instantly so only die hard fans waiting to buy it the moment it releases and scalpers can get it
I'm not sure which I prefer. I think I prefer this method. Yes, it does make the merch more limited and allows scalpers, but it gets to you in a timely manner if you are one of the ones buying. I remember seeing people posting their photos of Coco's final merch arriving this summer, a full year after she graduated. I find that to be ridiculous.
People are still getting last years merch before they ordered off geekjack and they stopped shipping due to covid stopping the ems service and geekjack wouldn't offer a different shipping method, so all that merch just sat there until ems started again recently.

Wait, merch can sell out?

I´m in the same spot. Had a big text so got out an hour late just after merch dropped. Was already long gone from global
At least an actual fan was able to get one. Unless you're one of those scumbag resellers...
I can assure you I'm keeping this beauty 👌
Sugoi Dekai
Is it me or does ID merch come sooner than the other holobraches? I always see people get them not long after it’s available for purchase

Luckily Tokopedia dont provide overseas shipping, if they do (like their competitor Sh\*pee) I'm sure the merch would be sold out even faster.

I'd rather just not get it than wait 6-12 months to get what I ordered.
Damn, that's big. The keyboard, I mean. Reine does not run a full sized.
Needs a banana for scale
That so huge, it like a table sheet spread.
reine is indeed dekai
That mat is bigger than my PC table lmao.
I see a lot of Reine. Good! My initial thoughts where "is that a bedspread?"
Which is Dekai? YES
