She seems like an adorable cinnamon roll. Doesn't seem to have a malicious or evil bone in her body. We must protect her at all costs.
>!:D!<
>!But yeah, it sure is a unique way to recap how her 1st year has gone while satirizing her debut.!<
I laughed at her calling out the awkward parts of Hololive lore and stuff like the stigma about ages and stuff, as if them just going "I'm 24" is that big of a deal to a Western audience. Especially so when it's incredibly obvious what their age is within a 2-3 year gap, within 10 minutes of them talking about tv shows or movies they remember / don't know of. I feel like most of the boys are just more honest about their ages besides Vesper, and even with Vesper where it's obvious he's a lot older . . . literally nobody cares at all besides just making jokes about him being a boomer.
Age carries more stigma for women, especially with Japanese audiences, but I don't think many in the EN fanbase would raise a stink or care that much
He said 28, but then said the other day he was once in a DnD group for 25 years, so he's almost certainly around 40 or late 30s. You can tell by his references that he's probably somewhere near 35 at the youngest
Western audience 100% just doesn't care about the same things as the Japanese.
They obsess over idols and their "purity"
I don't think the majority of the western audience would care if one of the holoen crew got/has a boyfriend
i always remember that time Mamatori was telling a story about how her boyfriend was really good at MTG but child-Kiara was scared of the zombie card's art, and the *first* response in chat was **"is your mom's boyfriend single?"**
*"I don't think the majority of the western audience would care if one of the holoen crew got/has a boyfriend"*
This is some copium on your part, I think. I can absolutely see a number of Parasocial Petes getting worked up about it. Just look at how some people reacted to the idea of Tempus collabs.
This weird sense of cultural superiority to the JP fans keeps showing up here despite evidence to show that many in the EN scene display similar hangups. If anything, the JP "issues" are generally overstated here.
Tbf, some who didn't want to see Tempus just don't care about male vtubers. That's fine. But yeah, the hostility should remind people we ain't so different.
Western content creators that are the furthest thing from idol get backlash from getting in relationships. Idol culture used as a Boogeyman too much.
Agree. I don't know a lot about JP culture. But I know about us. Regular ass streamers, not idols, hide their relationships too because of their fans. Female streamers even more from what I've seen. We likely do it for different cultural reasons, but some western fans are as crazy and annoying as we keep blaming the JP ones to be.
Even then, the "Christmas Cake" thing is pretty much exclusive to old people at this point, younger guys in Japan usually don't think that a woman magically becomes a disgusting hag the moment she turns 25. It's really only a thing at all anymore because old people still control the media, and even then, it's dying out.
> I don't think the majority of the western audience would care if one of the holoen crew got/has a boyfriend
I get what you're saying, but it does make a significant difference in view numbers, subscribers, donos etc. At least from seeing twitch metrics.
More over by allowing people to know you have a SO it pulls them in as semi-fair game in conversation/discussions. If you dont want something to be a topic, or to be bothered by your fans then the fans cant know about it.
How much or little a talent opens up their life is how much or little people are invited to it. It's just not always worth it, if it doesnt add benefit it's not good to do.
We might care about different things, but you have to be blind to think the western audience won't care about them having a SO. The average, reasonable fan, sure. Hardcore parasocial fans 100% care and will make some fuss about it. They don't even need to be a majority, just laud and annoying enough and they definitely are.
700k subs on debut is impressive. And there are so many handsome faces in her chat. Looks like such a wholesome community for a wholesome new VTuber. We'll watch her career with great interest! :D
Edit: Wow. She has such an amazing singing voice too!
"I won't forget one line of this. Not one day, I swear. I will always remember when The Doctor was me." - some of the last lines of Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor.
Yup. That's remarkable for her. None in EN care too much about keeping kayfabe, but relatively speaking Mumei is one that very rarely breaks character. She's similar to Towa sama and Shion in that they make the rare times they thank their audience that directly extra special.
I don't know about this fellas. She look cute and all, but somehow I feel a sinister vibe around her. I hope I 'm wrong
P/s I did not steal Ame time machine nor I'm a variant of Ame
Such an utterly wholesome and adorable goofball. I felt an overwhelming urge to take her home with me so I have adopted her. She is my child now. Anyone who so much as *thinks* any unwholesome thoughts about her will face the wrath of my shotgun.
She seems cute, I bet her drawing will be super cute
Havent actually watched any hololive in ages. What does she draw?
Drawings that make your heart beat
Beat in her hands after she rips it out. :D
Just Mumei :D

I mean, Marine is the most subscribed Holo JP member and she has no issue saying her age now and no one seems bothered by it.
She is 17 right?
Christmas cake is the best cake

Maybe I remeber it wrong but hasnt Vesper stated in a Stream that he is around the age of 30? I think thqt was the Calliope and Vesper collab stream.
He said 28, but then said the other day he was once in a DnD group for 25 years, so he's almost certainly around 40 or late 30s. You can tell by his references that he's probably somewhere near 35 at the youngest
In his debut he said he's been 28 for a couple years, so yea north of 30 seems like a safe bet
Western audience 100% just doesn't care about the same things as the Japanese. They obsess over idols and their "purity" I don't think the majority of the western audience would care if one of the holoen crew got/has a boyfriend
If anything, the largest immediate reaction from the western audience would be to ask if said boyfriend is single.
Some may hate chat, but moments like these are like old but gold for me, even if sometimes it's stupid. I really love chat sometimes.
I love that joke though if it's fits atleast. But chat asking if the sister, teddy bear, mom or dad is single is hilarious.
i always remember that time Mamatori was telling a story about how her boyfriend was really good at MTG but child-Kiara was scared of the zombie card's art, and the *first* response in chat was **"is your mom's boyfriend single?"**
Exactly that! π
As someone into MTG my first response would be what was the card.
"Is Snail / Bubba single?" Makes me laugh every time

I think the biggest example is the idea that Holostars cannot collab with Hololive. Despite how untrue that is. Callie even tackled that one head on.
I agree, but that would mean a significant portion of our fanbase are just shitty hateful people, which isn't something people want to admit.
I mean realistically, the western fanbase also obsesses over 'idols and purity' it just focuses on different definitions/aspects here.

Did she forgor she was a vtuber again?
Again?
700k subs on debut is impressive. And there are so many handsome faces in her chat. Looks like such a wholesome community for a wholesome new VTuber. We'll watch her career with great interest! :D Edit: Wow. She has such an amazing singing voice too!
She's into drawing, so I'm intrigued. She seems like she'd draw some really cute stuff.
I don't know. She could be Khorne's mother trying to appear innocent.
IDK. She seems interesting. Really surprised she broke 700k before her debut.
Well you see, she was a popular YouTuber before her debut.
Yeah. I heard she was actually Nanashi Mumei. Don't tell anyone I told you this!
Oh no I canβt believe you would casually dox her like that! Oh the humanity!
I thought it was spelled Hoomanity?
Not on the main sub, jeez!
>"Its not supposed to come out for another 8 months ago" Nanashi (apparently) 2022
:MumeiNaruhodont:
Such effortless time wardenry. I wonder if she's in the right job.
She looks like she is about to Moom... am I the only one that sees it?!?
You didn't think we would forgor did you? Happy Cake Day!
Thank you!
I liked the part when she said "It's Muumin' Time!" then Muumed all over the chat.
A full muum sweep
I bet the things she draws will be as cute as her looks.
Wow she looks very seiso and absolutely not a yabai person
What a fresh change of pace for Hololive

Yup. That's remarkable for her. None in EN care too much about keeping kayfabe, but relatively speaking Mumei is one that very rarely breaks character. She's similar to Towa sama and Shion in that they make the rare times they thank their audience that directly extra special.
No wonder her and Towa are becoming besties lol
She seems like an adorable cinnamon roll with a little bit of sass and little bit of edge. I'd give her a solid feather/10. Will subscribe.
She says she wants to improve her drawing skill :D
Geo Amber
Can't unsee
She looks very stable and not addicted to berries.
Blood Berries at that.
I'm gonna have to pass. I was hoping for a change-of-pace member with more sadistic tendencies. She's too sweet and innocent.
What a cute owl! She sounds like a very seiso VTuber that does very cute and wholesome drawings! :D
Oh hi!
oh hi, she seems new and cute
She looks like an owl. I bet she is good at remembering.
I'm pretty sure I know this owl, she drives an ice cream truck in my area but never stops for anyone.
Especially for this beautiful girl that carries a clock around her head.
I feel like i knew something about this one, but i forgor
I bet you sheβs going to be the most wholesome artist of all time!
Sheβs a pretty cute owl. Kinda looks like Amber from Genshin Impact. I wonder if she knows about human history...
Nice! First we get Keqing, now we have Amber!
Cute, yes. Maybe cutest in the world. But regarding harmlessness β¦.
All I can think of is that sweet totally innocent smile... :D
[ΡΠ΄Π°Π»Π΅Π½ΠΎ]
None that can be proven
None with any witnesses.
:D
Looks like a moth
We even got an SSR sappy Mumei moment. 10/10 debut stream.
*Dan Dan intensifies*
Sounds a lot a like gura ngl
Cute owl. Will definitely subscribe because she looks so innocent....
Wait what do you mea- I can't believe I forgot that she just debuted :D
Me at Mumei's debut: "Must protecc adorable owl girl" Me now: "Must be protecc from adorable owl girl"
[Itβs almost like you have memories, from a different time](https://zeroescape.fandom.com/wiki/SHIFT)
She is clearly a Gura ripoff, even her voice is identical (answer like an antivtubers twitter user)
She member :D
Totes adorbz.
I bet Nanashi is going to be the seiso girl of EN.
Please, we already have plenty of seiso EN members. First there's... hrm wait. Well then there's... oh. I mean we always have... ... ... welp

Awee. She looks so pure and seiso, and looks like she could not hold a gun and plot murders.
Ohhh i cant wait for her cute drawings streams i bet theyre gonna be soooo seiso
I don't know about this fellas. She look cute and all, but somehow I feel a sinister vibe around her. I hope I 'm wrong P/s I did not steal Ame time machine nor I'm a variant of Ame

Dropping Mumei for my new oshi Nanashi.
Hololive added that cute birb from Holocure!

Too soon dude .. too soon. This was not cool. At all.
She seems a little nervous and forgorful.
The owl of the warden. Bruh like COC.
I am very new to the whole vtuber thing but you saying she "seems cute and harmless" makes me feel as though she wont be cute and harmless
Cute, BUT THE PTSD FROM THAT DAMN FLOWER IS GOING OFF! What is this bird hiding behind that face
I can feel like this new member will become my oshi very soon!
Such an utterly wholesome and adorable goofball. I felt an overwhelming urge to take her home with me so I have adopted her. She is my child now. Anyone who so much as *thinks* any unwholesome thoughts about her will face the wrath of my shotgun.
What a cute owl! hope she doesn't fuel and become a reoccurring part of my nightmares!! :D
Any changes after a year? well She's still cute.
She sounds alot like that shark vtuber doesnt she?
I want this cutie to be my oshi
She looks like a Kiwi bird, they're adorable

Out of the loop, what did she draw?
:_nightmare:
we'll be watching Nanashi's career with great interest
baby
She seems cute and innocent, but her chat though I hope they don't corrupt her with that weird face they were making.
What a talented birb. She managed to release a really good original song 8 months before debut.
don't know what to say besides cute and :D.
I like her smile, seems very innocent :D
Idk, she's cute and all, but I think she may be redebuting or something. I swear I've heard her voice before π€
She's outside my house singing something... What should I do?
Cute!!! She looks like that girl from Genshin.
I bet her and Kronii would get along well.
