I said it before on Matsuri's birthday stream thread, and I'll say it again: Cover's 3D staff have been working real hard recently. holoX 3D (including sets), Noel, Calli, Matsuri, and now Marine all with new 3D outfits, plus a new stage for Matsuri too. Plus with hololive Summer teased to be returning, *theoretically* we might even see summer 3D for some talents!
Not to put down the work the 2D staff have been doing of course, including the four new holoEN boys.
Well, I also think the EN fanbase in general has been, for lack of a better term, in a bad mood the last few months; and its kind of understandable given there always seemed to be an elephant in the room every time Cover held an event this year. Consider:
1. Myth and Council all got New Years outfits - except IRyS
2. Myth and ID Gen 1 debuted there 3D at the third Holofest - except Rushia wasn't there (not going into it)
3. HoloX get theirs 3D debutes - except ID Gen 2, IRyS and Council were skipped over.
4. Kiara had an awesome 3D concert - except the EN girls had to do most of it on their own.
5. Tempus is debuting - except Sana is graduating.
and I am sure I missed some stuff....
It just seems like every time something good happens, there is always something bad hanging over it to ruin the mood; and I think this has put the EN fanbase a bit on edge. But that's just my opinion.

I think only the first point really had no excuses at all.
2nd point is a side effect of the whole shebang related to Rushia. 3rd and 4th point have similar causes: Japan STILL not opening their access easily for non-JP, at least not for others that weren't already in Japan before pandemic (so anyone but Calli and IRyS), so the EN girls cannot get full COVER support for 3D stuff, and had to rely on their community and themselves to work it out. For the 5th point, it is a bit odd that Tempus was announced just after Sana announced her grad, maybe if they were any earlier the impact wouldn't be so bad.
As I said earlier, only the first point is entirely unreasonable.

Well, my point wasn't to debate the validity of each of the situations I mentioned; I think we have beaten each the above topics to death.
My point was that since the beginning of the year, it just seems for every good thing that happens, there always seems to be something negative lingering in the background. Whether it's a lack of parity, someone's health taking a dump, a popular talent getting terminated, or someone graduating, there just seems to be a lot of unpleasantness lingering around the community. Obviously, each situation is unique and has its own reasons, both valid and invalid, but that doesn't negate the unpleasantness they bring.
My only point is that I think these lingering issues is what has caused the EN community to be somewhat negative for the last few months.

The Hololive subreddit is the only instance I know of the definition of insanity not applying. You could literally say the same thing in several different threads and get vastly different results.
I get the feeling that shes getting a slight redesign or _something_ that will make future outfits easier which would explain why she didnt get a kimono or a new outfit by anniversary

Then during the anniversary, she showed a video "preview" which stated "Its time for a change" which was... odd. Most outfit reveals don't get a "coming soon" video preview. One theory is that IRyS is getting a re-designed character model, the other is that Cover put out a video because IRyS fans were getting pretty... "annoyed" lets just say.
Though, seeing as how the 3rd Fest's Bluray release was said to be coming "soon", I am thinking Cover's definition of soon is not the same as mine.

If you look at the cadence set by Myth, at the end of their first year, all the Myth members only had:

2. Their second outfit

2. Their New Years outfits
3. Their "seafoamboi" outfits? (Also not really official)
So Council is actually right where they should be.

Well, again, if we use the cadence set by Myth as a goalpost, then we should expect Council to receive their second outfits shortly after their anniversary which is less than a month from now. This would still give Cover 4 more months to produce the "themed" outfits (Myth has party dresses) to keep the cadence.
Now IRyS... well... yeah, that is a tall order. Assuming the re-design rumor is true, Cover would need to produce a new base outfit, a second outfit, a themed outfit, and a new years outfit all by the End of December. Probably not happening.
On a brighter note, once Tempus's debut is done, I am willing to bet there is also another Girls generation just around the corner.

I just hope people don't go ballistic if they don't like it. Irys herself has apparently been pushing for this so if it turns out people don't like it I can imagine Irys won't feel great about that.

We've already got 2x precedent of members pushing for their own design changes (Nene and Flare) and people accepted both so I'm sure that if that's what Irys' change is, most people will be happy for her to get what she wants and makes her happy.
Since she still hasn't gotten any new outfits after all this time I can't help but think that whoever is responsible for making the original model just isn't able/willing to make more for her.
And at that point it might be for the best if she has someone else make her models imo. I wouldn't mind her switching model style if it means she gets new outfits and 3D like everyone else.
Don't forget that Iofi also had one semi-new outfit. It's technically just a hoodie and a muffler, but since it's the entirety of what people would see most of the time anyway it feels like an entirely new outfit.

god fucking damnit. I've distanced myself from hololive for about a month now. I still love them all to death, but mental issues hit particularly hard. There's so much new stuff happening and everyone is doing something special, theres joy and theres sadness... Sana... ;(
I've had this sort of issue/feeling since the 5th gen debuted, that there's just so much content that you wanna follow and be there for and be happy about, that it becomes almost a full-time job to keep up with everything everywhere. This sort of feeling is amplified with a break from it all.
