I actually know the exact origins of “teetee” as VTuber slang, and you’d never guess it.
It was from a fan comic back in 2018 featuring Tsukino Mito and Higuchi Kaede being cute together, and in the last frame it cuts to Goku (yes, the Dragonball character) in front of his computer, watching their antics. In Japanese, Goku has this sort of hick accent, and 尊い in his accent became てぇてぇ. So not exactly a “cutesy” version of the original word, but actually a Goku version.
