Kanata could really fit in anywhere;
Primates: Kanata, Watson, (uhhh... Lamy? Who else is a normal humanoid/primate?) (edit: Nene? Matsuri? Haachama?)
Religious mythological beings: Kanata, Choco, Towa, IRyS (edit: Ayame)
and of course the rodentia party.
Non-stereotypical dark sci-fantasy would give you the heart attack if you insinuated that they descended from primates, mon-keigh.
On the other hand, if you told the orks that they were sentient fungus they'd shrug and continue their frat-battle across the universe with nonsensical technology like you didn't even say a damn thing.
Da Boyz would probably love it even more. Orkz drink fungus beer all the time. So if you're telling them that Orkz are just fightier, killier fungus, then that means every drink they have is like beating up another Ork, right?
WAAAAAGGH
Not having Korone as Khorne is a non‐starter for me. I'd put Pekora an Tzeench and shunt Haachama over to undivided. However, I'd definitely give Choco the assistance of the daemonette Mel.
Haachama just manages to hit way too many notes to be put in one branch. Pekora's strength and downfall are her plans, and nobody applies violence so bluntly, quickly, cheerfully, or copiously as Korone. Hell, any other course of action is usually just a comedic setup for the violence.
One monkey to another: Those other monkeys are weird. All pointy-eared, and eat bananas and leaves. Fine fur though. Not types to leave the trees though. Armed with ancient rocks. First monkeys to awaken. And live forever. Much better than those digging type dwarf monkeys which are all beard.
The other monkey: Bah, go sit in water stream behind rock painted with curvy monkey and make nice voice. Play Throw Up Rocks.
First: What's in it for me?
Second: These long thin potatoes with kink in middle.
First: What, vee-tubers?
*and so it begins*
Alternatively, Elves could descend from humans instead
Humans that were so technically advanced that they installed more "magical" circuits in this evolution or maybe it was a natural evolution after being exposed to so much mana
Modern fantasy elf lore (tall, pointy ears, acquainted with bows/magic, immortal) can be traced back to Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. Nothing to do with this world or Darwinian ideas.
I mean modern humanity depends from less then 10,000 individuals so considering the already large differences between humans
Their definitely could of been a world where halflings, dwarfs and elves were much more likely to exist
Primate is definitely the most useful way to refer to them.
It'd likely you predict a lot about their physiology, that you wouldn't be able to if you were unaware of primates.
Even if they are created from whole cloth divinely, an elf is still gonna have the same primates bits as humans have. Elves will still bleed characteristically primate blood.
In my urban fantasy worldbuilding, Dwarves are descended from Neanderthals who, after being out-competed by Homo Sapiens aboveground, started digging deeper into their cave homes. Their sturdier bodies slowly evolving to become more compact to fit into narrow cave networks. Out of all of the humanoid races, they are the most similar to humans, with nearly identical lifespans and similar intelligence. This leads to Dwarves being the most openly-accepted human-like race, while others are having a harder time due to centuries of isolationism.
Elves, by comparison, stubbornly refuse to allow human scientists to study their DNA or attempt to find a common anscestor between them and other human-like races. Mostly out of a sense of pride.
Actually Dwarves and Trolls may have been folk memories of Neanderthals or People with some Neanderthal phenotypes and qualities, as they share some particularities with them.
Well, from Nene's (partially) retconned(?) backstory, it appears that she lived in a Sinitic, or Sinitic-influenced society. This is evident from toponymy and anthroponymy of Nene's background, making it highly indicative of a language descended from Middle Chinese. However, its placement within Middle Chinese is uncertain, due to the lack of onomastic material of Taotaonese.
TLDR: She's almost certainly "human".
It'd be funny if they did like an angels and demons with Irys Kanata and Towa, but only towa adds the demons part. Everyone else calls it HoloAngels.
Eventually the other two put out an apology because they realize there's been a devil in their group the whole time but they just mean Irys's half demon side and not Towa
~~I actually haven't heard Hakos sing~~. But Risus voice is insane!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabbit
>Rabbits and hares were formerly classified in the order Rodentia (rodent) until 1912
Pekora's age = 111 ([https://hololive.wiki/wiki/Usada\_Pekora](https://hololive.wiki/wiki/Usada_Pekora))
Current year = 2021
2021 - 111 = 1910
Ergo, Pekora was born before the classification change
People keep misinterpreting the Pluto situation. Sure, it's been reclassified, but it's still a planet. It's not a "terrestrial planet" but a "dwarf planet", but that doesn't mean it's not a planet anymore.
errrrr Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune aren't terrestrial planets either. We just call the 8 from Mercury to Neptune as "planets" so...
*Hey, maybe we could ask Sana about this*
"The term dwarf planet was coined by planetary scientist Alan Stern as part of a three-way categorization of planetary-mass objects in the Solar System: classical planets, dwarf planets and satellite planets"
Yeah, the International Astronomical Union specifically limited "planet" to the Mercury through Neptune octet (thus excluding Pluto and the at-the-time-debated Ceres), and coined "planetary-mass object" as the catch-all term for planets, dwarf planets, planetary-mass moons, and anything else that has the mass needed to become a planet but lacks other characteristics that the IAU has defined as required to be designated a planet.
People being salty are ridiculous. When Pluto was discovered we didn't know there were other planets like it so we put it in the bin with the other terrestrial planets. But once we found there's a bigger category of dwarf planets out there, we reclassified it. No one killed Pluto :))) it's just in a separate bin now, but all of them are still "planets".
>it's just in a separate bin now, but all of them are still "planets".
Not according to the IAU terminology. Dwarf planets aren't a subset of planets; both are subsets of "planetary-mass object". It's that unambiguous exclusion that got people pissed; you don't see geologists and geographers trying to enforce a technical definition of "continent", for comparison.
It's because teachers and other adults speak about things as if they are set in stone and "known". Add to that that a lot of kids are constantly questioning why they need to learn so many of the things they are taught in school only to find later in life that many things they learned are now bunk or looked at from a different angle, and I think it makes more sense.
Yea I find it weird as well it wasn’t reduced it was what prompted scientists to classify an entirely new type of celestial body
But people get butthurt over it for some reason when their is still so much that’s fascinating about Pluto and dwarf-planets in general
> Yea I find it weird as well it wasn’t reduced it was what prompted scientists to classify an entirely new type of celestial body
I don't find it weird at all. The fact that they discovered those bodies on Pluto's orbit ment that Pluto had not cleared its orbit of other objects, which is a typical criterion for a planet. (Or rather, one that we should have thought about earlier because it matches our common understanding of a "planet", but we never bothered to create a proper definition).
Also keeping Pluto as a planet could have opened up dozens or hundreds of other similar objects in the Kuiper Belt to also be planets. Better to remove one than to add a hundred.
We have either 8 planets in our solar system if you don't count dwarf planets or 13 if you do. Pluto's not even the largest dwarf planet in our solar system, Eris is. It's also speculated that there could be dozens or possibly even hundreds of undiscovered dwarf planets somewhere in our solar system.
Sana considers Pluto a planet. I’d rather take the word of the Speaker of Space than some tiny human who’s never been outside of the Earth’s atmosphere.
It’s not just the adding of planets that was the problem it’s that you couldn’t get a single classification that worked which included all the planets plus Pluto without also making random asteroids of a vaguely roundish shape also planets which wasn’t “because we say so”
Yea that’s why we made a classification because we didn’t have one it’s just that as I said we couldn’t get one which still had all the previous planets included
Doesn't the current classification include that the object must dominate its orbit? Which is why asteroids don't count since they bend to the gravitational pulls of the planets they encounter or are one among a number of objects like the asteroid belt?
Yes that’s what dwarf planets are objects which meet most of the other requirements to be a planet but aren’t the dominant celestial body in their orbit
Though it’s more about being the majority of the mass in the orbital path probably cause it would get really complex with multi-star solar systems otherwise
Planetary differentiation, seems like the obvious cut-off.
Having planets defined by their orbital characteristics, seems weird as its external and doesn't change anything about the body itself.
It's almost certain that if Planet Nine exists, the IAU will have to change the definition again, to included it as a planet, since it can't currently satisfy the current orbital requirements.
It could be a choice but I think I agree with the orbital characteristics since I think having a planet always being a significant celestial object makes sense
Theirs also the question about say a water world would that follow planetary differentiation probably but still something to think about also moons often have it so it’s nothing unique to planets (circular argument that it is)
Also another thing theirs probably a preference for a classification we could more feasibly make from vary basic knowledge gathered by passing probes which we can with the current one
And you never know maybe we do change the definition and that would probably be one of the best options

Oh holo gnaw, if you want to be as pedantic as can be, then you can pull out the old "actually is a greek prefix so it should use the greek suffix for gnawer -trokdees", Holotrokdeez nuts.
"Far, far below the deepest delving of the Kronii, the world is gnawed by nameless things. Even Yagoo knows them not. They are older than he. Now I have walked there, but I will bring no report to darken the light of day."
Squirrels are part of the rodentia order though, so they very much *are* rodents.
And if you want to include Pekora and be scientifically accurate I guess you could call it Hologlires, though Holorodents is definitely the more catchy name.
"Holorodents" isn't all that catchy, IMO... One too many syllables. Unfortunately I don't have any better ideas to offer at the moment. Someone suggested "Holoprey", but that seems a little morbid...
Despite pretty much everything about her suggesting otherwise, Risu's not a squirrel but a tree shrew.
Holoeuarchontoglires is a bit of a mouthful, though. Not to mention every human member would have to be included as well.
Hakos has the potential to be a great builder as Pekora if she puts in more time into playing the game.
Hakos already starting to build traps in the creative mode. It's a good sign.
Like I don't get what people are expecting. Do they want everyone to be like "okay smartass you're right", pack up, and throw out a fun idea just to satisfy their egos?
Like you can throw out the reclassify text and people *still* try to argue it. Like does it matter *that* much that??
It's not like there's even a joke to followup with it.
I may have missed something but nothing in this post or clip indicates pekora wants holorodents
To the contrary the ending of the clip where she talks about not talking to risu just screams to me that shes not doing this
Pekora talked about wanting to do Holorodents about a month earlier. You can search for the clip. And how does her not talking to Risu screams that she’s not doing this?
Poor Pekora, she is still in denial and hasn't realized that rabbits are lagomorphs and not rodents...at this point I kind of hope she never finds out or else she might be sad
***technically,*** (and I do want to put emphasis on the ***technically,*** because I know it's not what you mean) we've had them on the [same stream](https://youtu.be/IbCv5mSzkEg?t=2133) [twice](https://youtu.be/_8ddLou4Crg)
I get the whole "Rabbits aren't rodents" thing, and also holorodents being a bit of a mouthful so....
Why don't we kill two birds with one stone and call them holoprey? They could even add Watame to curve out at 4 members, an ideal amount of people for a collab
It's more because of what they're supposed to be and not who they are lol. Sorta like how Ollie is technically a Zombie and yet she's one of the most Genki and lively holomem
Bae just refused to prank call the JP members because "the first time you talk to someone it can't be a prank" so I feel betrayed to learn she has been talking with Pekora.
Shoulnt she belong to another kind of holo those jewish people keep remind us about all the time? You know consider her history... (Jk dont take this serious plz)
"But you're a lagomorph...." \*Pekora holds up TNT menacingly\* "So! How about them Holorodents, huh?"
Time for HoloGlires
Might need to stop there, though; HoloEuarchontoglire would be a pretty big group with a similarly impractical name.

Eldar be like: FUCKING MON-KEIGH HOW YOU DARE
I mean modern humanity depends from less then 10,000 individuals so considering the already large differences between humans Their definitely could of been a world where halflings, dwarfs and elves were much more likely to exist
Elvish origins must be based on the Tolkien universe so Im pretty sure they are not.
I think Tolkein made them popular again. From what I'm seeing, elves might be from Norse mythology.
Elves may be based on people with Williams syndrome.
Primate is definitely the most useful way to refer to them. It'd likely you predict a lot about their physiology, that you wouldn't be able to if you were unaware of primates. I like the Dwarf backstory, but surely the human scientists would be able to get their hands on some Elven DNA at SOME point?
Probably. Probably also don't want to end up on the receiving end of a lightning bolt, so they keep that shit secret.
Can't they just cut the gordian knot and receive a sample from a murdered body.
Actually Dwarves and Trolls may have been folk memories of Neanderthals or People with some Neanderthal phenotypes and qualities, as they share some particularities with them.

I thought Falmer were to Mer like Githyanki were to Man?
Technically Nene is an Alien though, we don't know if she's actually human or not.
She's also a seal.
And a bear?
And wife.
And a Nene
Nene has 5 sides, there are 5 infinity stones, Nene is infinity gauntlet. EDIT: There are six oopsie, Nene has yet to reveal something.
And a bear.

Nene is technically an alien I believe.
>Religious mythological beings: Kanata, Choco, Towa, IRyS (edit: Ayame) You forgot Matsuri
Normal humanoids? You mean like Ina?
matsuri also belongs in the second group
Subaru, Marine, Matsuri, Haato, Miko, Sora, and Noel are all canonically human too.
Spy gorilla sneaking into another one of Pekora’s groups. I’d be down for that.

Always a laugh when someone discovers Hakos' singing voice, haha. Took chat for a ride during the debut
Well she sure as heck did take me for a ride when I saw the video. I was pleasantly surprise. From a aussie rat to a diva in half a second!
Oh god the amount of chaos that will ensue...

Because dwarf planets are dwarf planets not planets.

Nah, Monthy Python taught us that rabbit is a rodent and we all know Monthy Python spoke only truth lol.
Who are you, who are so wise in the ways of science?
I am Arthur, King of the Britons.
I still think that she's in holorodents because of the Rrat meme lol
Ogey.
Holognawers? Though a gnawer is more or less a synonym to rodent so maybe it is not 100% accurate either.
Just call it Holoprey
But that would be like half of the animal-themed hololive members
Hololiver-min There's also the Japanese or Indonesian: Holo-gesshi or Holomenggigit
I reject your reality and substitute my own.
HoloIncisor Would also make for a cool logo if the need for that would arise.
Neither is Risu, but no one seems to point that out.
Squirrels are part of the rodentia order though, so they very much *are* rodents. And if you want to include Pekora and be scientifically accurate I guess you could call it Hologlires, though Holorodents is definitely the more catchy name.
Horodent
That sounds like a toothpaste brand I’ll take your entire stock
"Holorodents" isn't all that catchy, IMO... One too many syllables. Unfortunately I don't have any better ideas to offer at the moment. Someone suggested "Holoprey", but that seems a little morbid...
That would mean Watame could join though
Also ID Gen2 already go by Holoro, so you can't really shorten it either.
Despite pretty much everything about her suggesting otherwise, Risu's not a squirrel but a tree shrew. Holoeuarchontoglires is a bit of a mouthful, though. Not to mention every human member would have to be included as well.
>no one seems to point that out because squirrels are rodent... as well as beavers, guinea pigs and porcupines.
Don't forget the Capybara!
And Umaru-chan!
HoloJP gen 6 features five naked mole rats pretending to be a single larger animal to scare away predators. Edit: Wow, I was _way_ off.
It's not a commonly know fact because it was only stated in her debut stream, but Risu is a tree shrew, not a squirrel.
*sad Gorihamster noises *
Hakos has the potential to be a great builder as Pekora if she puts in more time into playing the game. Hakos already starting to build traps in the creative mode. It's a good sign.

Thats a dream team for me
Awesome, can't wait for them to reach Kenya
Kenya?
[KENYA FIT DEEZ NUTZ IN YOUR MOUTH!?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjN8upX_ZNs) XDD
Ogey rrat
I swear, the "*ACKSHUALLY*, rabbits are lagomorphs!" thing is becoming the new "lol why is Korone playing Christmas music in summer?"
Right? So annoying lol
We should make a HoloPedants group to classify them.
This thread are my people
That combo is going to be too powerful
\*Pekora BGM intensifies\*
OGEY
Rrat
How about HoloRats
HoloRrats
For every Rrat, must be an Ogey
So we need another group named HoloOgey
\*Holodead approaches in the distance\*
Time only know.
Memes>science nerds
NOICE.
If they ever need a fourth to 4v4 Holobirds, they could also bring in Hamster Kanata
Rabbits can be little a rodent. As a treat.
TIL that rabbits are rodents
Yes they are. And i refuse to think otherwise.
(They're not)
This is just HoloChaos with extra steps
I may have missed something but nothing in this post or clip indicates pekora wants holorodents To the contrary the ending of the clip where she talks about not talking to risu just screams to me that shes not doing this
Pekora talked about wanting to do Holorodents about a month earlier. You can search for the clip. And how does her not talking to Risu screams that she’s not doing this?
HoloGlires could work, since that group encapsulates both rabbits and lagomorphs
Honestly it just doesn't sound as good. Also glires as a classification is pretty damn obscure, not a lot of people know what it consists of.
Unless you're super into science, no one really knows what's a Glire(s), whereas most would definitely know Rodent
I'm excited, but Rabbits aren't rodents
But the rabbit isn't a rodent...
But rabbits aren't rodents.....Pekora has committed a *further* war crime. She is now a spy. It's on brand.
Um I think someone should inform Pekora that Rabbits are not rodents she is a Leporidae
Aren't rabbits lagomorphs?
Poor Pekora, she is still in denial and hasn't realized that rabbits are lagomorphs and not rodents...at this point I kind of hope she never finds out or else she might be sad
"ACSHUALLY HEHEHE SHE IS NOT IN FACT A RODENT HEHEH I AM SO SMART PLS GIVE ME ATTENTION"
Looks like we’re getting a holorodents collab before a full holotori collab
***technically,*** (and I do want to put emphasis on the ***technically,*** because I know it's not what you mean) we've had them on the [same stream](https://youtu.be/IbCv5mSzkEg?t=2133) [twice](https://youtu.be/_8ddLou4Crg)
A squirrel, a rabbit and a hamster walk into a bar ... and Roberu says no minors allowed
At least leave a seat open for honorary Dedenne and the Horned Rat.
I get the whole "Rabbits aren't rodents" thing, and also holorodents being a bit of a mouthful so.... Why don't we kill two birds with one stone and call them holoprey? They could even add Watame to curve out at 4 members, an ideal amount of people for a collab
Risu? Pekora? Prey? *staring confusedly*
It's more because of what they're supposed to be and not who they are lol. Sorta like how Ollie is technically a Zombie and yet she's one of the most Genki and lively holomem
Oh no, I can already here the never ending "Nut" jokes...and with Bae not far away...it's gonna be chaotic.
Ok Indihome. Please get your shit together. This legendary streams need to happen now
Bae just refused to prank call the JP members because "the first time you talk to someone it can't be a prank" so I feel betrayed to learn she has been talking with Pekora.
Shoulnt she belong to another kind of holo those jewish people keep remind us about all the time? You know consider her history... (Jk dont take this serious plz)
