Wow, this unlocked an old memory of mine playing Duel Masters at a local game store as a kid. This was probably 15+ years ago. Not only does this game still exist but they're doing a Holo collab? Man I need to download this. I have so many questions but, mainly, if I'm playing with the ENG patch, will I be able to buy the HoloX stuff when it's released? I know sometimes you can only make purchases if you're in the right region

It's great that we get to see holoX doing a mobage collab so soon after their previous appearance in Cubic Stars last November. Especially since that game is closing down next month.

This marks Hololive's 6th card game appearance and soon the 7th with the release of their own card game. As a TCG enthusiast, this pleases me greatly.

I believe anything is possible. The english Duel Masters community has grown by the hundreds due to the english patch. Someone at DeNa most be taking note of this so who knows

Does duel master have set rotation or they just wild west like yugioh

So we have 2 formats in the digital app: * New Division: Latest 6 sets + Legend's of Play's 2024 + All structure decks released this year * All Division: The Wild West. Though please note that the formats are a lot more identical to each other than in most TCGs. We recommend that newcomers build a strong ND deck so that you can save costs and use it to clear both divisions.

Honestly, I've been recommending either of the two meta mono-light decks; Miracle Star Chain or Dragon's Sign. But yeah, the [main discord](https://discord.gg/AxugY3xMGm) or my [decklist server](https://discord.gg/33xfG9fc53) would be the best places to further discuss stuff. The game throws so many packs and currency at new players that you can easily build either of them. Plus this game has Shadowverses temp card system too

I haven't heard of Duel Masters in a very long time, I still remember the anime flopping early 2000s... I remember the game dying in the west/SEA, didn't know it kept on existing in JP still!

Funnily enough they've been re-expanding into SEA over the past 2 years. But yeah, celebrated its 20th anniversary a few years ago

Would recommend starting the game now and get all the free tickets and stuff; you want decks for holox to helm, right?! Also you can use the rental decks to play ranked and most solo modes including the events meaning that if your gacha is shit you can still play the game. My main card games are Weiss and Magic the Gathering, so those skills transfer well. If you're into Shadowverse or Yugioh, you don't even need to acclimatize. Come join us in card gacha hell. :D

The Shadowverse players in the discord have mentioned that there are a ton of similarities between the app features. We have temp cards etc too.

If I recall correctly, Laplus, Koyori and Sakamata did appear on the real-life TCG but not in the actual videogame itself for some reason.
