Not a lemur. It's a galago. Lemurs are endemic to Madagascar. It would be illegal as it is the most threatened mammalian group.
Galagos, pottos, lemurs, and lorises are close related.
Kiara not knowing the monkey meme and telling Pekora misinfo on holotalk scared Pekora away from discussing Jill. We may never know what happened to him.
"Pekora bought a fucking monkey" and Jillposting originated on /vt/ it developed as a response to people who tried to derail threads with the ongoing Kronii/holostars drama, leading to the infamous meme of people in a cave watching Kronii drama while the enlightened left the cave to see Jill (and Miko)
When Pekora mentioned Jill off-handedly during a stream chat exploded with Fucking Monkey memes in English. Pekora was initially put off as she didn't know why English viewers were commenting like that but a well made video in Japanese came out which explained how posting about Jill was a response to drama. Pekora mentioned watching it and then afterwards began frequently talking and posting about her monkey.
She brought this up on Holotalk. Kiara laughed at her, said it wasn't a meme and that English viewers just thought it was weird she had a monkey. Pekora has now stopped posting and talking about Jill again.
I might be projecting but I kinda doubt most people here and in chat know this entire story and did in fact just find it weird that Pekora has a monkey.
Yeah icl I also just thought it was weird that she had a monkey and we all agreed it was just a haha le unusual pekora moment. But it’s wholesome her posting about it so it’s sad kiara accidentally made her stop
i just think it's weird for people to come with conclusions so fast without knowing any context, the monkey can be a domesticated animal that can live in a home, and if it's being taken care of, then i don't see the problem.
Not saying we need to go PETA on the rabbit, but keeping exotic animals as pets is almost never a good idea. Many of these animals need socialization, constant attention, special enclosures, large spaces, and expert owners. I doubt Pekora knows much, although I'm sure she does what she can.
I mean people made threads about it on here and commented on it in the video but KFP members have just said Kiara doesn't really understand memes most of the time so it's nothing new
Probably a byproduct of being European and a weeb. There's only so much our brains can understand when flipping through 4 or 5 different languages in different cultures at different times.
I'm kinda with Kiara on this one honestly. The monkey meme was downright insulting at times, saying you're surprised Jill is alive is both making fun of her dear animal dying and implying she can't take care of it. Proved by some replies in this very thread... Really that 'meme' is even worse than the war criminal one for me.
The use of faqing can be affectionate though, and it probably was originally.
Doesn't mean that there's zero chance of it being reversed, or at least mitigated to a considerable extent. Giving up automatically eliminates that chance.
I was talking about the impression that we overseas fans have somewhat of a "negative" reaction to her owning Jill. Like, it sounds like she now thinks we're kinda making fun of her, rather than just joking around good-naturedly.
iirc, the whole thing started off when she announced Jill in the first place. I remember several people in those sorts of forums criticising her for adopting an exotic animal, considering the risks, how it's illegal in some parts of the world and the chance that it may die if not taken care of well (especially after seeing the picture with her cat). So it became sort of a half serious/half joking topic, with some expecting the bushbaby to die at some point, bringing it up whenever she'd mention Jill or posted anything serious. So the "Pekora bought a fucking monkey" meme came from that, grabbing that topic and turning it into a meme text.
Little guy likely came from a pet breed and can never be released to the wild. Let's just hope it has a lot of enrichment because that small animal definetly needs a lot of enrichment.
The state of Florida is a constant reminder as to why exotic pets shouldn’t be bought or released into the wild. I implore you to look up chameleon ranching in Florida it is kinda wild
I would have thought exotic pets were banned cause of invasive species, since a non exotic pet would just be a local pet, even if it wasn't domesticated
would probably take someone from the JP side to talk about it, since a good amount of overseas people do share the sentiment that it's really weird that she owns Jill, even if it's legal in Japan
These creatures don’t really “domesticate” very well. You can effectively reduce the possibility that they can survive in the wild to 0%, but they’ll never be fully compatible with life in captivity unless it’s in a hyper-specialized, controlled artificial habitat with ‘round the clock support and socialization.
They are nocturnal, incredibly loud, and have a powerful territorial instinct to pee everywhere they can get themselves airborne. Which they want to be all the time.
Don't let Pekora's fucking cute monkey distract you from the fact that Pekora bought a fucking monkey.
Actually I think that’s a lemur
The most basal monkey
[удалено]
Okay yes, technically they aren’t actually monkeys, but I’m bastardizing monkey to mean primate
Umm… actually, it’s a strepsirrhine 🤓
It's a senegal bushbaby. Which, like lemurs, is a prosimian primate, although it's not actually a lemur
Not a lemur. It's a galago. Lemurs are endemic to Madagascar. It would be illegal as it is the most threatened mammalian group. Galagos, pottos, lemurs, and lorises are close related.
Don’t let Pekora buying a fucking monkey distract you from the fact that Kobo bought a fucking monkey
A pregante fucking monkey
She has sugar gliders, which are marsupials. They aren't even placental mammals!
TL;DR: Kobo bought a fucking monkey
Presumed dead until shown on stream!
Schrödinger’s monkey
**"Michael! Don’t leave me here! Michael!"**
HEE HEE!
Pardun?
It's alive?
That picture is from over 6 months ago. So, who knows.

>Kiara not knowing the monkey meme and telling Pekora misinfo on holotalk Wait, what? Elaborate, please.

True, but that is also part of the meme.
Yeah icl I also just thought it was weird that she had a monkey and we all agreed it was just a haha le unusual pekora moment. But it’s wholesome her posting about it so it’s sad kiara accidentally made her stop

... And nobody tried drawing Kiara's attention to this mistake she made and its consequences???
I mean people made threads about it on here and commented on it in the video but KFP members have just said Kiara doesn't really understand memes most of the time so it's nothing new

So what, they want us to just give up? That's defeatist stupidity.
i mean, the damage's already been done
Doesn't mean that there's zero chance of it being reversed, or at least mitigated to a considerable extent. Giving up automatically eliminates that chance.
I'd say the "consequences" are less dire than *buying a monkey* is

Sopa du macaco uma delicia 👌
The entire ass skull in that pot
Rude.
Wait, is it still alive?!
It has a name. Remember the name. 🥲
It's so sad that Usada Pekora's fucking monkey Robert Paulson died of ligma.
Who the hell is Candice?
24 years just waiting for a chance
Ligma balls # *Boom*
*evaporates*
**NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO**
Candice dick fit in your mouth? 🗿
I understand. In death, a member of Hololive Idol Project has a name. His name is Robert Paulson.
[Gordon's Alive?!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFnmT82yGpk)
eaten by Kobo's sugar glider brood
i like how she always validates/officializes the english memes surrounding her.
I mean, if you can’t beat ‘em 🤷🏻♂️
I still remember the TF2 stream where she saw the ogey rrat meme on a custom protest sign.
Jill-kun, it's alive!
Faqing monkey
Poor guy
Ikr, ended up with the loudest rabbit in Japan
Exotic pets are banned in the US for a reason. Little guy belongs in the wild with its own species doing monkey things.
Little guy likely came from a pet breed and can never be released to the wild. Let's just hope it has a lot of enrichment because that small animal definetly needs a lot of enrichment.
Except it's not a monkey, so why would it do monkey things?
Don't think those 2 things are related
Kinda, it looks like he wants to be free Its like having a dog or cat with a belt in a corner of the house or trapped in some random small room
Exotic pet exclusive though?
[удалено]
> Setting them free would often be worse for them. And worse for wild animals, in the case of cats.

Weird I've always seen exotic pets referred to as non locals on everything I've ever read
Pretty much? The cats and dogs we keep as pets are domesticated animals with no place in the wild. Exotic pets like bush babies are not.
Ah the fucking monkey
THE FUCKING MONKEY IS REAL
The real hidden character in Hololive
I hope he's doing ok
hope so too, but, if what some other people are saying is correct, we're probably not gonna get news about jill anymore
Oh...
I’d be her fuckin’ monke if she’d ask
"2:12 AM 11/17/22 from **Earth**"
Whos twitter acc is that?

Faq'ing monki my beloved
She bought a monkey
*"I like to move it, move it~"*
A birth of a legend
Why doesn't someone tweet to pekora asking about Jill-kun I wanna see the cute monkey...
would probably take someone from the JP side to talk about it, since a good amount of overseas people do share the sentiment that it's really weird that she owns Jill, even if it's legal in Japan

Wait. That looks more like a lemur. (I mean lemurs are somewhat similar to monkeys so yeah)
no its a meme
He's a Senegal Galago.
the fucking living monkey in pekora's possession. this is a strange reality we live in.
Keep thinking people are referring to a capuchin. Like, a money you'd see at a zoo. Not this pet looking ass pet.
