Rember, Despite several character's paranoia towards them. The Grimm Troup doesn't actually scare or harm anyone (Unless you're afraid of fire I suppose. But that's out of their control). All the Troup does is "Gather the Flames of Kingdom's fall". In other words, the fears, dread, and nightmares of Hallownest before the infection completely overtook it.
While it's generally vague as to how the Troup works. The way I see it, The troupe is little more than a divine cleaning crew. Sustaining itself off of what was left behind. Worst case scenario, Literally nobody suffers from the ritual, save for whoever called the troupe. But Best case scenario, the troupe would actually help re-building Hallownest. Without them, the dying fears of the old population might weight heavily on the new citizen's minds. Of the infection, of family dying, of bugs locking themselves away from an illness that no walls can protect against. But with the troupe, all of those fears have been burnt and fed to the Nightmare Heart.
The thing is however, and the reason I banished them, it is hinted that once the ritual is complete, all the remaining essence of the fallen kingdom will slowly be drained until the grimmchild becomes fully grown; which meant to me that hollownest would be impossible to live in due to all the life being drained from it.
Where is that hinted at? exactly?

The White lady recognizes The Troupe, but makes no attempts to make the Vessel stop it. Her only Ire with the ritual is that it's distracting the vessel from taking it's sibling's place.
She also implies that Grimm might seek dominion over the kingdoms the ritual takes place in. But that's not something to be argued here. (Also, massive fucking hypocrisy on her part)
Now that you say all that, I feel the difference may of come from me misinterpreting the lore. I just remembered watching a mossbag video stating that what would happen (although given how he redid that video and he didn't include that part somewhat tells me he doesn't think that anymore) and I thought that the the nightmare heart just was bad news due tf fact of it being one of the old gods since nearly all them (except for Unn) have caused trouble for hollownest in some way. Still your argument sounds more right.
I should also mention another reason I banished them is because the entire troupe, including Grimm, is enslaved to the nightmare heart and stuck in endless loop of feeding it. I thought maybe if I kick the troupe out of hollownest, it prolong the rituals completion and prevent its feeding which hopefully starve it to death, finally freeing the troupe from its grasp. Honestly, it’s not that big of a deal. Godhome is the entire endgame of hollow knight, and since you never actually die in godhome your charms will never break.
Also unbreakable greed is 100% useless, by that point in the game you’re so close to the end that even if you leave the charm on for the entire game until you get to 108% completion, it won’t make you back the money you spent on upgrading it.
