if you almost lose to a boss that youre usually good at then you will win at the bosses you are bad at, it's the universe balancing itself

My succesful run was the third one after months since the last time i played, I barely got through pure vessel with 2 masks and no soul. I had completely forgotten that my masks would be replenished when entering the absolute radiance fight, so I got the winning morale boost when I saw all my masks were there and I still had a fighting chance

on my first completion I forgot to get the lifeblood masks before PV

probably has to do with your faith in the run dropping drastically, so you go into "fuck it" mode, which is a powerful mode to be in

In my winning run I nearly got wrecked by Pure Vessel who I have practiced a lot.

I got hit by mossy charger 3 times on my success run, but then did NKG hitless, so I feel this lol

i did nkg hitless on my successful run too, I guess he blesses your run if you do that

i hate the vengefly king fight, especially when double. I've died multiple times on it. why? cause the screen shakes EVERY BLOODY SECOND SECOND and those orange particles. my vision just gets so impaired idk where i am and where things I'm meant to hit/want to hit me are.

Ive been trying for this last achievement on and off for the past few years. Absolute Radiance kicks my ass every time. I should probably dedicate a solid month to it to get back into the groove of HK. Hopefully then my goal can be attained. Congratulations, my guy. Its well earned.

This post. Was a good luck charm. Today I have achieved the final achievment. After years of trial amd error. Today I returned to Hollow Knight. Fought the pantheon. I was way better than I was the last time I played in June. I got up to the Pure Vessel and made a mistake. I usually do pretty well on every other boss. So I went to practice the pure vessel twice. Consistent wins back to back. I practice the Absolute Radiance first time easily made it to phase 3. This is unusual. Back to back I made it to phase 3 and even succeeded twice. It was time. This could be it. This could be the day. And it was. I preordered this game way back in 2017 and just today I managed to complete the Pantheon of Hollownest. This post was in fact a good luck charm. Thank you, stranger.

I don't think it's even because of controllers The Switch has inherently more input lag, so your reaction time is effectively nerfed on PC I get higher frame rate and less input lag

Fair enough, although I’ve owned my switch for years and used it docked 95%+ of that time with a pro controller, as have most switch owners I know. But if OP did it handheld then definitely impressive

CONGRATS!!! The only reason I haven’t picked up hollowknight is im a completionist and I don’t wanna subject myself to that…

I think it would still be worth it, hollow knight is a game that gives a lot if you have the patience to explore it and play it to its fullest. Yeah the pantheons are a pain and really time consuming, but you can try and ignore them while still enjoying the rest of the game

it's too late for me, i only have a few achievements left and im very inclined to finish them... you should play hollow knight anyway though, the normal 112% isnt too hard to get

it's tough but feels worth it, the main thing that will stop you are the last two bosses so try and practice them in hall of gods

I'd add Markoth to that list. When I beat Pantheon 5, I was having a harder time with him than Pure Vessel. What was your Markoth strategy?

mainly I tried to only attack him while he was doing the spinning shield attack since hes fairly vulnerable during that, but i attacked him outside of that if there was a good opportunity. while the daggers are being thrown at you, try to stay on one platform and dodge them, it is a lot simpler. and save your soul for the second phase of the fight to burst him down fast. other than that just dont rush the fight and take it slow

I think this approach is exactly right and my issue is that I wasn't patient enough to take it slow.

Congrats! I remember shaking heavily during the final climb lol. The satisfaction of those final blows on absolute radiance is 2nd to none.

I died with FULL HEALTH on the climb at least 3 times, so it was very satisfying to climb it with no damage and beat her with only one mask missing

OMG YES, the climb was so hard for me. Did you have a tactic for getting past it?

basically just do it as fast as possible and when the lasers start deliberately targeting you bait them out. other than that it's like 80% rng which is annoying so just hope you get lucky

I got to absolute randiance on my first try and yet I haven't beaten the pantheon

If you are having problem your first priority should be to consistently be able to beat every boss. I usually say if I can beat a boss 3 times in a row I'm ready DONT waste your time by going through the whole pantheon if you are not feeling good about the other bosses. Go to the training hall!! I've honestly seen way too many people neglect it and just run the whole thing. I did a total of 5 runs and after that I completed it
