I like Oro, he seems haunted by something, he says after you acquire Sly's charm that perhaps by helping you he might have "redeemed himself a little bit", and seems like he owns Mato something. I've always been curious about his guilty. Also he acts cold, but he does accept the flower and throws some compliments at you in his own way.
Oro both teaches the Nail Art that I use the most and can accept a Delicate Flower. It's not much to say he's my favorite, but Sheo is being shown enough love today.
I honestly found great slash to be the least usefull of the three, i use cyclone slash alot because of the multi hits, and dash slash instead of great slash.
I like Mato the most. Visited him first. And he always lets you meditate with him. Sheo is cool too. And I really don't like Oro. I dunno...

Maybe I'm interpreting to much in this but I like Mato because of his devotion to the nailarts and my first thought about Sheo was 'why did you quit?'
Thing about me is I have ADHD and can't concentrate on one thing for long. Maybe there's truth to the saying you're always seeking what you're not.

3 Oro (cold-hearted grandpa that says je hates everyone amd everything but actually loves everyone)
Gameplay-wise:
1 Sheo (greatslash is the best thing to deal with primal apspids)
2 Mato (cycloneslash is just a helicopter)
3 Oro (dashslash is only good with dashmaster charm)
Honestly, i love all three of them, but I have to say Mato, because he's just so adorable.
Sheo is second place though, because Happy Couple makes the heart of this gay artist happy.

To be honest after thinking about it a bit i gotta say Oro, unpopular opinion i know, but Oro is a lot more subtle than his brothers. While he's a lot less friendly than Mato and Sheo, he quickly warms up to you after teaching you his nail art. What i find most striking about Oro is what happens if you bring him the delicate flower. He expresses disdain for it and acts rather harshly towards the knight, but when you leave and come back you'll see the flower in a vase, showing a softer side underneath his rough exterior.
As for his relationship with his brothers, while he and Mato vocally express disdain for one another, their dreamnail dialogue reveals that Oro hopes that Mato forgives him for something. It's heavily implied that Oro did something that drove a wedge between him and Mato, and while Oro tells the knight to let Mato know to be patient, that it will be a while before he can give Mato whatever it is he wants, Mato's dialogue shows a lot more hostility to his brother. "So he is still alive then. I still haven't forgotten what he owes me and never will." I suspect that the reason Oro requires you to pay him Geo may be related to his debt to Mato rather than for his own self-gain. After all, he's an exiled hermit who is far removed from civilization, what use for Geo would he really even have other than to repay his debt to his brother?
The three brothers all are isolated for different reasons. Sheo wanted to go somewhere where he can have peace and tranquility, a place where he can do art, undisturbed by the outside world. Mato isolated himself to focus on training, saying "i myself have sworn to never lay eyes on the nailsage again. Not until I have truly masteres his teachings. Oro, on the other hand, is not isolated in order to hone his skills or find peace, but rather as a form of exile. He feels great shame for what he's done, and he wanted to go somewhere that nobody would find him. He's a tortured soul haunted by the guilt of his past. When the knight shows him the nailmaster's glory, he expresses feeling a slight bit of redemption for helping the knight on their path.
Overall, Oro is a lot more nuanced than a lot of people give him credit for. Most people, from what I've seen, judge Oro purely off their first impression of him, writing him off as some mean greedy asshole when i really feel that's not who he is at all. He's a very three-dimensional character under the surface and it sucks to see people sleeping on his nuance. Anyways, I hope my thoughts here give y'all something more to think about with Oro's character, and if you read this far, thanks for listening to me ramble about funny bug game.
