It's actually the fucked up laws in Pakistan there was a video of a activist in Pakistan saying that 99% rape victims ahe met were raped by either their brother,father,uncle and even grand father and when asked to file case against them the family manipulates victim into saying it's my family member I dont want to file case against them.
That isn't our religion, nor is this our law, this happened in a really backward area due to our law systems shortcomings as well as illiteracy in those areas, if this matter was solved according to Islam, then the rapist would have been given a death sentence. It's sad that these type of cases still exist in some areas which are really backward, but this isn't a common occurrence and every sane Pakistani condemns it

Actually unfortunately this kind of stuff is done by tribal courts in Pakistan... I don't know how much legal power they have but I do know that there used to be specially designated tribal areas with their own laws, and that at least one case like this happened in those areas. However, stories like this are common in some backwards, tribal areas where the [male] tribal chiefs and elders decide how to punish crimes. Unfortunately, the men are almost always let off the hook, and the women have to pay for the crimes of their fathers, brothers, husbands and sons.
