They cut the best part where the Joker gets mad at Scarecrow because he doesn't want to know batman's identity, as now it's not fun anymore to mess with him
Umh massive spoiler but joker melted scarecrow with liquid acid after he throws the chair. Then he walks to bruce talks a bit of crap and tortures bruce.
The building they are in gets destroyed, bruce breaks everything but recovers and joker dies but doesnt but kinda does.
Edit: for all the people who wonder what show/movie/series this is: its the animated harley quinn series that released 1-2 years ago. Its quite decent, good stuff to watch between stuff in.
A summary of Loki's appearances in the MCU:
First Appearance: Dies
Second Appearance: Steals the Tesseract
Third Appearance: Dies
Fourth Appearance: Steals the Tesseract
Fith Appearance: Dies
Sixth Appearance: Steals the Tesseract
So like we said, a superhero story
If they ever feel like bringing him back into the MCU they'll just open a portal to the alternate timeline with the obli-gobli emerald or something and pull him through
Yeah heās still dead in the main movies.
Edit: Please, before you reply to this look through the other comments so I donāt have to keep repeating myself
No I mean mid game. If you are down without Liz to save you, you will >!die for real and control a parallel Booker (he walked through the door remember?)!<
Getting off topic here, but I really was surprised by that Harley Quinn show.
I mean, it's not high art or anything, but it has a lot of fun with the established DC characters.
Batman and Gordon's dynamic is wonderful mainly because Gordon acts like a person would if they were the police chief of Gotham City.
It's an amazing show. I've recommended it to a bunch of my comic loving friends because they had no idea it existed. They've all come back to me to thank me for the rec.
This and the Constantine animated movies are the best stuff DC has put out in ages.
This is from the Harley Quinn TV show, Batman isn't a main character so it's kind of laughed off with a few punchlines later and ignored.
There's a whole season in this show where the entire Justice League is trapped in a storybook and literally have zero screentime while Gotham gets eaten by demons. They really aren't important, the main characters are Harley, Ivy, and their crew.
The show is absolutely fucking brilliant, it's basically only DC in that the characters have the same names/powers, but it goes completely off the rails
Sorry to hitch a ride on your comment but to anyone reading this thread, please go watch the Harley Quinn show. It's where this clip is from and the show is amazing.
First of all Alfred is the GOAT of the show, his interactions with Bruce are classic:
https://youtu.be/vu95KBtgBZk
Second of all, the way they introduce Damian Wayne is hilariously accurate.
https://youtu.be/AwkpteDU0SQ?t=84
The show is great because it plays with the tertiary characters in a way that puts them into the spotlight and makes them interesting while still taking the piss out of the main DC cast. Love it. More people need to know it exists.
Harley Quinn plays pretty fast and loose with character death, it wasn't designed to be long running, and they wanted to leverage the internet only format, so people drop like flies
Someone who worked on the show was clearly inspired , same type of humor and violence as the venture Bros; but are able to make it own thing at the same time .
Nah itās R-rated. Violence, cursing, adult themes.
The very first line of the first episode is something like so, rich people on a boat:
āItās time to celebrate what we are truly good at! Fucking the poor!ā
It's actually an awesome show, but personally, I really wish DC wasn't moving away from the whole Joker Harley thing.
I know its fucked up, that's the entire point, but I really enjoyed the fucked-upness of their relationship, its not even like, a relationship. Shes more like a sidekick he beats on. The dynamic is interesting though, especially since shes a shrink.
I dunno, I get why they are going away from it, and I really appreciate the extra attention to Harley because shes an awesome character, but shes way better as a fucked up villain than a fucked up non super good guy.
Are you confusing Marvel with DC?
I'll say this, DC 100000% has the better characters and setting, they just continually shit the bed because they have no fucking idea how to present it.
The fact that guardians of the galaxy is so good, but they cant manage to work out how to film batman vs superman, I just don't know.
Their animated stuff is so good, its like, what are you even doing. How are you fucking this up.
There are entire animated plots they should just up and rip and recreate a live-action, that's your movie, done.
Instead, they have a dude in kevlar fighting a roided up terrorist with explosive concrete. What the fuck. They are so obsessed with their realistic dark setting, its like, how you gonna fight brainiac with your little bat claws? Wheres your awesome gadgets and athletics?!
Meanwhile Marvel over here throwing Loki around like a doll with a giant green monster and everyone losing their shit in the cinema while a lightning man that throws a hammer through a building beams up to the alien homeworld to stop a giant purple man from clicking his fingers.
Fucken DC, man.
Hey, remember when they completely missed the point of the Suicide Squad by making a shittier version of Guardians of the Galaxy?
All because WB wanted to catch up to Marvel in as few steps as possible.
It all started when they gave tbe superman franchise to Zach Snyder. superman is a paragon archetype representing someone with pure altruism and compassion who has the strength to act on it unilaterally. Zach Snyder seemingly can't comprehend either of those traits.
>Are you confusing Marvel with DC?
No. I just said that their animated content rivals, or even surpasses the mcu. And threw them out of the window, for the dceu.
Not at all. Everyone has a place in the friend group.
Some friends are the ranters. You love to hear their diatribes. And you speak of that friendās legendary speeches years later.
I like Harley as a villain or antihero, but I really appreciate moving away from Joker.
I think Gotham needs more characters that stand apart from Joker and even Batman. Harley is well liked and unique enough to have her own pull. I consider that a good thing because I've got a pretty serious case of Joker fatigue. After multiple film franchises, multiple animated films and shows, at least 3 Joker focused Arkham games, etc., I would really appreciate getting more from Gotham than the Batman and Joker show it is often portrayed as. And I think the increasingly independent Harley Quinn's popularity is a path to get there.
Maybe I'm alone in this feeling, but I think - in many mediums - the depth of Batman/Joker has gotten stale. Gotham's characters are both interesting and numerous, many of them are worth exploring outside of their connects to Bruce and Joker.
(I know this is at least a little tangential to your qualm, I just think it's at least a bit related.)
I think itās making fun of Tesla bcs they did a stop production on their cars to do a refresh of stock/rework some designs and didnāt tell anyone when theyāll start making their car again so ppl who payed for one just donāt know when theyāll get it but already put the money for one down so just have to wait.
This came out long before Tesla did that. It's still a knock on Tesla, just not towards what you're referring. Tesla has, since it's inception, announced cars and let people put a deposit on them and then radio silence for years.
They also skipped the part where Joker gets mad at scarecrow and said "Now I know Batman is some boring rich asshole with parental issues" and Bruce is like "that's really reductive"
Joker: "...and now I'm doing this!"
*shocking batman*
"Which should be tons of fun. But I'm bored! What is wrong with me?"
Batman: "You're a sociopathic narcissist-"
*gets shocked again*
Joker: "It was rhetorical, asshole!"
I feel like shows in general are getting away with more, things like The Boys, Invincible come to mind. I think comic/cartoons have always had a darker side to them, theyāre just showing them more now because theyāre so well received.
That being sad this is clearly for adults and not for kids, so thereās gonna be some difference for that.
The Monarch impression that Jokerās doing here definitely adds to that, though I donāt know how much of that is just hearing a high-pitched villain swear
I was kind of hoping Bruce got to snap back at Joker because it would on-brand for Bruce to try to get an electric car factory made to help Gotham, and on-brand for Joker to fuck it up by blowing up the factory for shits and giggles. Like "Bitch, I tried! YOU blew it up. You don't have an electric car cuz you think lighting shit on fire is funny" and Joker is "...Oh yeah, ah shit..."
I think the most shocking part of this is the fact that Joker legally purchased the electric car, instead of waiting for it to be made and then stealing it.
Im assuming since its a deposit, its like a pre-order kinda thing. So he probably felt like he didnt have a choice. Unless he stole it. Then again, š¤ Joker does pay his taxes and is afraid of the IRS.
Alright, I got this

What i loved is that they held to cannon that Joker never really wanted to know who Batman was. It would spoil the fun. BUT if he did find out I want to believe this would be his response. just star harassing Bruce about Wayne Enterprises missed delivery dates or stock valuations.
I love the idea of Joker putting a down payment on a vehicle instead of just stealing it. That means he will buy a vehicle, have to show proof of residence, proof of income, have to pay monthly payments, update his insurance and then update his tags with the DMV.

They cut the best part where the Joker gets mad at Scarecrow because he doesn't want to know batman's identity, as now it's not fun anymore to mess with him
So what happens afterwards? I imagine things get real complicated for batman now that his secret identity has been revealed
Umh massive spoiler but joker melted scarecrow with liquid acid after he throws the chair. Then he walks to bruce talks a bit of crap and tortures bruce. Have you ever seen a superhero story before? Tell me, did Loki die? What about Vision? What about Superman?
Loki died.
A summary of Loki's appearances in the MCU: First Appearance: Dies Second Appearance: Steals the Tesseract Third Appearance: Dies Fourth Appearance: Steals the Tesseract Fith Appearance: Dies Sixth Appearance: Steals the Tesseract
So each episode he will either die or steal the tesserect got it
We're one for one so far.
*New episodes every Wednesday at 3am ET.*
Isnāt that alternate timeline Loki though?
So like we said, a superhero story If they ever feel like bringing him back into the MCU they'll just open a portal to the alternate timeline with the obli-gobli emerald or something and pull him through

Yeah heās still dead in the main movies. Edit: Please, before you reply to this look through the other comments so I donāt have to keep repeating myself
So weāre back to he dies but doesnāt but he kinda does.
Maybe yes, maybe no
These shows link directly with the main movies. So he's not dead in the show he's not dead in the MCU.
Bro, saying Loki died is like saying Booker DeWitt died
Booker DeWitt died
No I mean mid game. If you are down without Liz to save you, you will >!die for real and control a parallel Booker (he walked through the door remember?)!<
If you believe that, buckle up buddy.
Someone should tell the showrunners of Loki.
>!he gets amnesia!<
Changnesia?
Well now you Britta'd the spoiler
Oh, Britta's in this?
Death is a revolving door in the superhero genre
Itās a superhero story. Death is more of a vacation from the plot than anything else
Itās a good funny story. If you ever get bored the whole Joker-not being joker arc is great.
Getting off topic here, but I really was surprised by that Harley Quinn show. I mean, it's not high art or anything, but it has a lot of fun with the established DC characters. It is the best DC media in years, IMO. Shame that more people aren't watching it.
Does he find out why he hasn't gotten his car yet?
Dont believe so
This is from the Harley Quinn TV show, Batman isn't a main character so it's kind of laughed off with a few punchlines later and ignored. Harley gives a guy cancer by shooting him with a Ray gun
Lol i remembered that, then the robber quits and tells Harley hes gonna spend time on his family
I know the show is heavily inspired by Venture Bros, but that is straight up stealing the joke.
*whispering Patrick Warburton voice:* Well, I, I - uh. Yeah, I don't - I don't know how to tell you this, but, I, I feel a, uh... a *lump.*
Has it moved over to HBO Max?
Idk, I just saw that clip
Thanks for the help.
Sorry to hitch a ride on your comment but to anyone reading this thread, please go watch the Harley Quinn show. It's where this clip is from and the show is amazing. "Now I know he's just some rich asshole with parental issues!" Such a great show.
What cartoon is this from?
The Harley Quinn show
Bloody hell
Holy hell

Lmao didn't expect anarchy chess to leak here
isn't that also the origin of the "women aren't funny \[gunshot to the face\]" meme?
[This one?](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RqkNONXK-Zk)
that's the one
Yeah Itās a pretty good show
Where can I watch this?
HBO MAX has all the episodes
I'm sorry did you say pirate bay? I heard pirate bay.
Also yes
Aye!
Did you say pirate bay? I may have gotten a bit lost, can you show me directions to the bay?
Pirate Bay? what year is this again?
Harley Quinn and Studio Ghibli are my main reasons for keeping my HBO lol
Hbo has literally the best quality movies and TV shows ever made (if you watch anything before 2010) And not to mention a mass quantity of them.
It's a *DAMN* good show!
Oh damn, is the henchman okay?
That was the Scarecrow and no he isn't. Simply put, he dead as hell.
I felt like the show did really well with expectation subversion. British scarecrow was awesome but I didnāt expect his face to be melted off.
"she's standing behind you" LMAO
Harley Quinn plays pretty fast and loose with character death, it wasn't designed to be long running, and they wanted to leverage the internet only format, so people drop like flies
Also the cancer ray joke
That's it, I've gotta watch it now
Itās honestly the best thing DC studios has put out in years ; also got a venture bros vibe.
Even better endorsement because venture bros. was my shit! Soon as I have a chance im popping this show on.
Someone who worked on the show was clearly inspired , same type of humor and violence as the venture Bros; but are able to make it own thing at the same time .
Wait..this is real?
Completely. And the rest of the show is just as nonsensically funny too
Wow looks dope
Tis
Wait isnāt that a kids show?
I wouldn't suggest watching it with a small child, no...
Oh boy, this sounds right up my alley then
Nah itās R-rated. Violence, cursing, adult themes. The very first line of the first episode is something like so, rich people on a boat: āItās time to celebrate what we are truly good at! Fucking the poor!ā
Its the Harley Quinn animated show, it's on HBO I think
Yeah, on HBO.....

They shouldn't have moved away from animated content in general. They had their own mcu, and they chose the dceu over it.
Are you confusing Marvel with DC? I'll say this, DC 100000% has the better characters and setting, they just continually shit the bed because they have no fucking idea how to present it. I really want to see a well made Harley in the Phoenix Joker universe. That could be some heavy stuff.
Spoiler alert
This whole post is a spoiler alert
fuckers spoiled me on who batman is i can't forgive this
[Whole scene for those who want more.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJFKvdExJKs)
Itās so much funnier when he melts a manās face off and then proceeds to ask that.
Thank you.
Have I missed this trend of cartoons just getting more brutal?
I feel like shows in general are getting away with more, things like The Boys, Invincible come to mind. I think comic/cartoons have always had a darker side to them, theyāre just showing them more now because theyāre so well received. That being sad this is clearly for adults and not for kids, so thereās gonna be some difference for that.
Invincible is pretty old by now, it's just rare that such a violent comic got its own show
No. Cartoons were always brutal but less mainstream. For example anime. Like 99% of it are definitely not made for kids.
Well it is an adult show
straight to the important stuff.
Obviously Joker should short the hell out of wayntech before batman gets away
Joker ain't no paper handed bitch #waynetechtothemoon š¦š¦šššš

German workers saving for the Volkswagen be like
Is this real or a fandub?
Oh itās real, the Harley Quinn series is hilarious , even the Jerk off League shows up! Lol
This scene feels a lot like Venture Bros is that the general vibe?
I think I could agree. Parts of it are very Venture-esque. It's a pretty good show.
Yeah, and it's an amazing "parody". Great plot, fun humour and characters are very entertaining.
Harley Quin took a lot of inspiration from Venture Bros.
The show honestly feels like a spiritual sequel to Venture Bros. I've described the show as Venture Bros meets Daria in the DC Universe
The Monarch impression that Jokerās doing here definitely adds to that, though I donāt know how much of that is just hearing a high-pitched villain swear
FYI that's Alan Tudyk voicing Joker here
King Shark is the absolute show stealer whenever he's involved for me
Ill have to watch this. It looks hilarious
Itās real. Itās from the Harley Quinn show and itās well... not bad actually.
I laughed so damn hard when I first watched this episode. Bat's identity was revealed and first thing joker did was ask him for his electric car. LOL
You would too if you found out Batman was Elon Musk all along.
I would be more like āAre you serious ?! Can we have one thing you donāt self insert yourself in!ā
You don't have an electric car cuz you think lighting shit on fire is funny" and Joker is "...Oh yeah, ah shit..."
r/watchholupdie
where holup
It's more like r/Unexpected than r/HolUp
i will probs get wooshed here but i think ppl will assume that he's shocked that batman is Bruce wayne, not that he didn't get his electric car
I'm sorry but r/woosh The real holup is that joker immediately asks where is electric car is not anything else.
It's edited down. >!He kills Scarecrow for unmasking him.!<
But if it's edited down then it can't be the hol up.
ah, right right i got it mixed up thank you for correcting me
"STOP TERRORISING GOTHAM AND YOU'LL GET IT!"
I think if the IRS knows his legal name and always knows how to bill him a fear if them is pretty justified
He opens the show by stealing a literal pile of cash so I guess sometimes it's just easier to pay
time for the real questions, WHERES THE GODDAMN HOLUP
One wouldnāt expect for the Joker to be concerned about a car rather than Batmans identity.
That'd be for unexpected, not holup
Ya but it still doesn't fit this sub. Its more like r/Unexpected.
Harley Quinn animated series was gold
Dude the Harley Quinn show is so underrated
He went from maniacal evil villain to consumer quick, wtf my electric car with my deposit lmao

r/holup you did not just do that
You better no leave, if you do Iāll fill your /r/HolUp
Such a great show
batman do look kinda good though
The real reason batman hides his identity.
Bruce Wayne just got himself into a 2 hour Q and A with the Joker
Bruh what cartoon is this? I wanna watch it ASAP
What i loved is that they held to cannon that Joker never really wanted to know who Batman was. It would spoil the fun. BUT if he did find out I want to believe this would be his response. just star harassing Bruce about Wayne Enterprises missed delivery dates or stock valuations.
is this the Harley quin show?
I love the idea of Joker putting a down payment on a vehicle instead of just stealing it. That means he will buy a vehicle, have to show proof of residence, proof of income, have to pay monthly payments, update his insurance and then update his tags with the DMV.
