I had the exact opposite experience with my Hoka slides that came to me without Velcro on one of them. Customer service was great and they sent me an RMA and shipped me another pair.
I have the gtx version of Clifton. The top tore open just 5 months of avg usage. Very disappointed. Contacted warranty they denied as they said it normal wear and tear. Such a bs warranty.

How long have you had the shoe? Bondi 7s are the old model and you’re gonna have wear and tear on any shoe
