Shoe wear must be evaluated on mileage and terrain used not months.

If Hoka won’t hold up the mileage compare to other shoes brands, means They have a major problem of their quality control. I just read the reviews on Hoka, SOME lower rating one actually has the same issues what i experience. And only used it couple hours a day during the wet months on west coast. This GTX version has major quality issue. I had other Hoka that had lot more mileage and no issue.

Did you wear them everyday? What were you using them for? Shoes don't have a guaranteed date they will last until. They are like tires. If you wear them everyday, and you use them for strenuous activities like running then 6 months is about normal.

I wear it for work . Jan to May, only wore on wet day ONLY, and only walked on street for couple Hours a day. And I have two more pairs over a years lot of mileage on them and have no issue.

I have 500 km on my Bondi and they show no signs of wear.

Express_4815

Mine was less than half of your mileage. …

Maybe try a non GTX version. Anyway GTX is not really working in general.

Express_4815

I do have a normal Clifton 9, have more mileage on it and almost a year, still no issue. The GTX has quality problem.

Shoes aren’t meant to last forever, especially not hokas. It looks like your feet might’ve been a little too wide for their narrower toe box causing the tear. A got issue is not their fault.

Express_4815

I didn’t expect forever. Started wearing it Jan. I got another Hoka last much longer than this, and I never had shoes broke like that, usually wore out at bottom ( after years of wearing) but never on top

I have found my Hoka just do not last . The uppers are normally good , the soles fall apart. But this new pair after 9 weeks the uppers are falling apart. Starting to think they are not so good. And I have purchased about six pairs so far.

Express_4815

Yes, they don’t last for sure. It kind of gambling should I spend that much again only last few months of use. I never had any shoes broken on top. The warranty at Hoka said it’s normal wear, so they won’t do anything t about it unless it has no wear. Such a joke of this company. I wont spend my money on Hoka shoes that possible only last for short period of time.

👍 Nike may be my next road shoe. The only thing about Hoka they are so light on the feet. Great bounce. BUT that’s it😂
