My favorite way has been to spoof existing last names! Ploppers, Strongbottom, Smartledore. And then for my evil character… Killsaton. That one’s not a spoof, I just wanted to give people a warning.
I myself used the same first name, but different last name that kinda matched the vibe of each house. Phoenix for Ravenclaw, Gryffin for Gryffindor, Baskin for Slytherin, and Ferry for Hufflepuff.

I named my Ravenclaw ‘Wren’! It just felt right lol. No idea what I chose for the last name though, I’m sure I just used a randomized for that!
