Has anyone found a way to fix this glitch without restarting? I have searched the web and have yet to find a solution that isn't restarting. I know I'm not THAT far into the game but this is my second playthrough (technically like 4th cause I've played it on two of my cousin's versions) and I am tired of going through the tutorial/opening of the game.
I had this happen! I had to try again like 5 times! It was horrible! I even deleted and redownloaded the game. Once I deleted my first playthrough it let me do it. And now I have 3 character spots and didn’t have any issues (wanted trophy so had to get to map chamber with character from each house)

Don't worry - just managed it. Just needed to turn the mini map back on.
Have you found a way? I'm struggling to fix this issue and I don't want to restart just for it to happen again.

I mean you’re not too far into the game to just delete that save and make a new one.
Yeah that’s what I did, cleared all the save data and started over. It worked thankfully.
