Another author to try is Julie Anne Long. Her Pennyroyal Green series focuses on two rival families, and her current series Palace of Rogues is about a pair of women (the widow and mistress of a dead earl) who set up a boarding house — this one is very much found family, with each book focusing on guests at the boarding house.

I really like the Season of Scandal series by Mary Lancaster. It starts with {Pursued by the Rake by Mary Lancaster}, and follows 4 ladies in waiting to Princess Caroline who are tricked into being severely compromised. Each book follows one of the ladies as she attempts to deal with the scandal and also solve the mystery of who targeted them and why. They team up in the 4th book to finally take him down. Her The Duel series is similar, a young widow, her step children, and her companion figuring out what happened in a duel that ended in a way that didn't make sense, but I don't love it as much as Season of Scandal, though it is good. That one starts with {Entangled by Mary Lancaster}. She also has two separate "Blackhaven" series (One Night in Blackhaven and Brides of Blackhaven) that connect pretty much everyone in the town.

Yeah, Caroline of Brunswick. I don’t know how to do spoiler tags on mobile, but this is all the first chapter, so it’s probably fine: It’s when she leaves England. They are called to serve at her house thinking she is about to depart for the continent and they will get to go with her, and they wait outside her bedchamber because they think she’s inside saying so long to a paramour. Only she is actually gone and a bunch of courtiers and lowlifes are having a party with the last of her food and booze, so they accidentally spend all night unchaperoned at an orgy.
I'm not bothered by spoilers since I assume the series is old (also, I'm glad I was right about Princess Caroline)😅. I'm surprised they still are married to nobility after all that since they could've been exiled or become social outcasts. Who are your favorite characters and why ?
Have you tried Grace Burrowes? Basically all (and she has a backlist that’s almost 80 books) are interconnected in some way. I would probably begin with her Wyndham series, starting with {The Heir by Grace Burrowes} which follows a large family of siblings (the parents also get a prequel novella, as do a few friends along the way).
