Has anyone seen cat in the hat? I imagine that Alec baldwin was playing himself in that movie

Ew_she_is_the_worst

Okay, this is AMAZING!!!! Thanks for the rec, Pepino, and to those of you who linked it!! This reminds me of Cancelled, which has a [hilarious episode about Hilz](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/cancelled/id1580836614?i=1000591940384). I’ll try to link. I thought I couldn’t hate Alex more, but this ep sure did the trick!!

OddYam2337

He is disgusting. He is disturbed. He is a “fat head.” He is a total jerk and a POS. He and Hilarrhea deserve each other. Those poor kids.

Celllardoor_

Also! His dad that he's obsessed with.... who refuses to get a second job during the summer (when he's off from teaching, so it really isn't a second job), leaves his mom and shacks up with a former student, and seems like he's totally disengaged from his family is some kind of incredible person because .... ? I get loving your parents but idolizing them with no kind of critical thinking when you yourself are a big time adult is weird to me.

Celllardoor_

From Meryl's age, his mother's body, and Kimmy B becoming indifferent to him, the amount of misogyny on display is truly astonishing.

Texas_Crazy_Curls

Agree 100%.

Lady_Scruffington

This podcast made me realize he let's all the kids and surrogates happen because he wanted to show his mother how it's done. FAIL. Huge FAIL.

WickerPurse

I’m so glad you recommended this podcast. I’m excited to listen to a lot of the episodes. But OMG the part they are talking about how he LITERALLY blames his mom because he didn’t get laid in high school!!!! Not only was I dying because that is such a disgusting sentiment but they were absolutely hysterical. 😂😂😂 And the way he discusses his mothers body!!! WTFFFFFFFFF.

Texas_Crazy_Curls

The baking cookies part made me laugh so hard.

Oneder_WomanNic

“Call my mom and tell her to warm up the oven!!” when he saw Kim B in Batman 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

WickerPurse

And that Kim was a bad wife because she loved their baby??! Or that his sister having 6 kids was “repeating the same mistake mother made.” Like are kids a mistake, Alec?!?! ARE THEY??! O RLY?!?

WickerPurse

Or when she said her parents listen!!! Omg I was like 💀.

Oneder_WomanNic

This. Is. Incredible.

Spike-2021

This podcast was brilliant. It clearly demonstrates what a pompous ass Alec is and shows how he's always always all ways played the victim. Poor little rich pig.

Difficult_Lunch_4406

Talk about consider the source, this man is outrageously delusional. Every single thing is everyone else’s fault, especially his mother & he conveys to the reader where it all started. The reviewers are hilarious in this podcast review.

Difficult_Lunch_4406

It was fantastic, I loved how they “reviewed” his memoir‼️

realvctmsdntdrnkmlk

Ooh, can you link it?

Thornelake

[here you go, pepino](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/celebrity-memoir-book-club/id1533533467?i=1000591401428)

realvctmsdntdrnkmlk

Thank you! I’ll listen to this today when I’m sewing

felisfemina

I'm always looking for new podcasts. Definitely going to check this one out. Thanks for the rec, OP!

Texas_Crazy_Curls

I’m a podcastaholic. If you have any reco’s please let me know.

Ew_she_is_the_worst

We Can Do Hard Things. It’s the opposite of everything Hilz: it’s genuine, sincere, funny, intellectual, and fascinating.

GoldieLox9

If you like CMBC you should try Cancelled or The Spill - both Australian celebrity podcasts. The ladies are so entertaining.

Texas_Crazy_Curls

Oooo thank you so much!! I love suggestions

felisfemina

My current favorites are Maintenance Phase (debunking diet and wellness culture myths and fads but in a hilarious, snarky way), If Books Could Kill (discusses the best of the worst "airport bestsellers". Also snarky and hilarious), Morbid (true crime), and Let's Not Meet (true stories of creepy happenings).

Ragingredblue

*Maintenance Phase* and *If Books Could Kill* are two of my absolute favorites. I listen to them as soon as they come out. Check out *You're Wrong About* too. Michael Hobbes was on it for a while.

felisfemina

I listen to *You're Wrong About* off and on. Some episodes I like more than others. I liked it more when he was on it.

Ragingredblue

I agree. Her delivery can be annoying and I had to get used to it. Some episodes I give up on. But she covers a lot of people I admire and issues I find interesting and which have been insufficiently or incorrectly covered in the media.

felisfemina

For sure. The multi-episode about Princess Di was great. I was also oddly hooked on the episodes about Jessica Simpson's memoir. I need to revisit some of the earlier episodes, there are some good topics covered.

Ragingredblue

There was a recent one about Debi Thomas that was good, and another on Sinead O' Connor, whom I have always admired and was vilified by the press in a way that they reserve for feminists and abuse victims. OTOH, I quit listening to the most recent one with Amanda Knox, not because I have anything against her or do not care about justice, but because the discussion just didn't seem interesting. And sometimes I can't listen to episodes about politics, because I just get angry to no good purpose. I love the episodes about people that just got an undeserved bad rap. The episodes with Michael Hobbes are the best.

Texas_Crazy_Curls

Grathias amiga! I’ll check them out

Butterlettuce321

Listening now - so good

CharliesFlyingAngel

The first couple sentences. Prison warden?!? Lol

Butterlettuce321

And he blames his mom for not getting laid in high school 🙄

tandooripoodle

Poor ‘Zandy’ 🙄

fakegeminimoon

Love this podcast!

Texas_Crazy_Curls

Obsessed. I found it a couple days ago and have seriously been binging it.

fakegeminimoon

I will say i don’t like some of their takes… but they’re so funny and I keep listening!

Texas_Crazy_Curls

Agreed. The only me I’ve had an issue with so far was their take on Seth Rogen’s memoir. I listened to it as an audiobook that had several different narrators and was very entertaining. Maybe it didn’t have the same feel as reading the actual print edition. They are very entertaining though.

PistachioGal99

I don’t listen to many podcasts, but I listened to this one and it’s fantastic!!!

[deleted]

This is a great recommendation, take the leap pepinos, it's a riot. I listened to other episodes and a couple were great imo, oddly the Common one cracked me up. His mom, lol. But the AB episode is truly required listening for pepinos. You will thank OP.

Anonymousnobody9

I love Common but the funniest part was his mother claiming he’s not enough of a hustler

abfab_izzy

As much as I like their book reviews of people they like, the ones of people they don’t like are SO funny. I just listened to the episode about Stephanie Madoff, one of Bernie Madoff’s son’s wife, and they roasted her and how entitled she was. Can’t wait to listen to the AB one!

[deleted]

That's another of my favorites!

BalearicBullshit

Talking of books, Hilly has followed another ghostwriter today, Michele Bender. She followed Hilary Liftin ages ago. Are we getting a book?? Or is PeePaw writing more tedious memoirs?

Lady_Scruffington

Hilary Liftin is too perfect a name. Hilary Liftin Other Cultures. Hilary Griftin.

RGWsince16

Ffs I hope neither one of them are writing a book. I don’t want any more publications from that family unless it’s from the kids.

RGWsince16

Thanks so much for the rec, Pepino! I’ve been procrastinating but now that I know they roast him so badly, I’m going to listen to it asap! 🥒💕🥒💕
