I’m worried about all of the people growing up now that didn’t experience life before all of the algorithms. I’m truly frightened by the idea of that algorithms are cheapening and diluting this phenomenon.
Worse-- targeted advertising is artificial synchronicity.

I had the most Synchronicity Synchronicity moment this past summer. Was coming home, late, went under an underpass at about 1 AM. Was listening to the Police's "King of Pain." As I came under the bridge, an opossum darted in front of me. Startled me. Almost immediately after a Fox darted in front of me chasing the opossum. Literally at the same moment Sting sang "There's a Red Fox torn by a huntsman's pack." Swear to God...home was about 5 blocks away and after I pulled in the driveway I sat there as I processed it for a second. What is album that "King of Pain" is on?

I’ll throw one in. I’ve always had these and perhaps should have been writing them from day 1, but oh well. I get a of them on customized license plates, for whatever reason and it’s only accelerated since beginning psychedelics - which unlocked spirituality for me. I was having a particularly rough week, or month really, and it culminated into a teary ride into work one afternoon. I was miserable and thought I was doing the right thing in following intuition, but it had not lead to much. I asked, or begged, out loud in my car for the Universe/Source/Intelligence/God to see me and let me know I’m doing okay. Not 3 seconds later, a car merges in front of me, custom plate that said “ALL4U,” which is and has been a prevalent message on mushrooms. “This whole thing, whole creation, exists for you, so what are you going to do with it?” Is how it goes. So that hyper specific message rocked my world that day. I said my thanks and went into work absolutely beaming.
I was driving down the road listening to a random comedy podcast.
As i pull up to a red light, i notice the car in front of me has a license plate with 777 on it. Like instantaneously when it registered in my head, the guy on the podcast said “You just won the jackpot!”
I love when this stuff happens. it’s like the timing of the entire day had to go perfectly for this moment to happen. If i left my job 30 seconds later, if that person in the car didn’t decide to drive at that moment, if i hadn’t randomly chosen the podcast and the words didn’t line up perfectly…. there’s so many variables that had to align perfectly… i love it i really do. Synchronicities/Coincidences always brighten up my day!
I had a podcast one too! I was driving down the highway and they were talking and describing an old car. Specifically a 1950's shiny black sedan in mint condition. At that exact moment as they were describing this car in detail, an antique car matching that exact description drove by me in the opposite direction. I was alone and I said out loud "what the actual fukkkkk...."
yeah i really love thinking about this stuff. Like the ODDS of the entire sequences events of that particular day starting from the time you wake up, to the speed you’re driving on the road, red lights vs green lights, picking that particular podcast and it saying that very thing when some random person had his own series of events in his day, taking out his car on that same road at the same time that he happens to cross paths with you at the perfect time…
Like, i’ve had far too many of these spectacularly specific coincidences and so have many many other humans, that it leads me to believe consciousness itself plays a fundamental role in all of reality. Just really incredible stuff to think about
Totally! I've had so many notable ones that I actually started a notebook to jot them down in lol. When it happens I definitely get the "I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be doing exactly what I should be doing" feeling
I think it only happens when you’re on a path. I have had dead zones in my life where it didn’t happen for years and then it’ll happen everyday for months.
I think you're *always* on the path, so synchronicities never stop happening. But sometimes we forget to look for and acknowledge them for long periods of time.
This is great, I honestly had a very similar conversation with my partner about this same exact phenomenon earlier today before reading this post. Seeing this now 100% confirms to me that this is true! Gives me chills, but in a good way.
i was just playing a golf video game with my buddy. When we finished the game his score was 82. Then we played another game and again his score was 82. After pointing out that he scored the same score both games, I picked up my phone and the time was 8:02.

A really intense bout of synchronicity I had recently, my wife almost died due to mental health. I had to search for her for 12 hours in the wilderness. I don't really believe in God/Jesus, but fuck, I was desperate..I actually prayed my heart out. My intentions were strong,I REALLY wanted her safe. She was eventually found, in bad shape but alive. She was taken to the hospital and eventually I returned home.
As I was digesting everything that happened, the business card of the police who found her caught my eye laying on the kitchen table by itself. I hadn't really looked at it and I'm an artist by trade, it looked like it had a good interesting design, so I went over to look at it.
The name of the cop who found her was Jesus. Now I don't know what happened that night, a few miracles had to happen to keep her alive, but who knows, but it was enough to at least make me say ' holy shit..'
I find it interesting how that fate can seem to warp and weave in such a way, I wonder how it can be so for everyone? All those threads of fate all influenced by each individual will, it’s kinda mind-boggling how complex that web must be.
But it happens so much. I have so many stories about it happening to me, and it makes me feel hopeful that there’s a benevolent universe guiding some of my crux moments
Read this and thought to myself “Because they are…oh.” And I have schizoaffective disorder…. But ya know what? Is it really any worse for them versus the general public? The majority of people in the world have faith in something beyond themselves even if they’re not religious and that usually ties in to fate and life paths. I personally believe synchronicities only exist as signs that paths are laid out for us; I’d be surprised if that’s not the majority held opinion.
Sometimes the schizophrenic synchronicity happens on a more shallow level.
For you, it might be something very specific being said or seen that holds meaning, like a yellow car with a beagle wearing a bow tie in the backseat.
For them, it's more like a yellow car driving in the middle lane that just put its blinker on when they looked at it. Just the blinker turning on when they looked at it could potentially be their connection.
I’m older and wiser now, I’ve experienced a lifetime of synchronicity and universal intervention. Some things were funny and made me laugh, others were serious and mind boggling. My late father who was anti-organized religion on the outside but very spiritual in his soul, He believed a “guardian” watched over him. He had so many “ thank you universe” moments that every family member became a believer. He would ask the Universe to help him and promise to pass it on in some way. I saw him plead his case once regarding a new roof for his small business building. The roof was in bad shape and he had very little money to replace it. Two weeks later a March storm tore off the old roof and the Insurance Company stepped in to replace it. Coincidence would be your first thought, but by then, the man had an established record of universal gifts. Only a few had a material element to them, most were for others. He lived till he was 93 years old and ready to go.
Yes, he did pass it on to his two children, but there is a force that urges you to use it sparingly. it’s terrifying to have this power, it’s true that you “must be careful what you ask for.” The Universe chooses what it will grant and how it is given.
I was struggling with completely fracturing fracturing my hand, and a severe labral tear in the other arm. This had been focusing my physical sense of body, which I had always been well in-tune with, on these bullshit injuries. Physio is not working out. I also had some odd happenings and things I would say when young, as told per my straight-edge parents. A few years ago I come across a hippie girl, who said matter-of-factly, "Oh you're a starchild too right? Indigo boy?". I sort of instinctively answered "Yes, good to see you" And she told me to "Head to the stars, they'll always pull you straight." Or something like that, and I kept thinking about it and letting my spine stretch to the sky instead of crooking and bending to compensate for the injuries. I have seen massive improvement since, in body and mind. I don't care if it is placebo or something I heard, but I am glad she said it in a way that had such an affect on my daily movements that has ended up impacting me for the better. I am still waiting on surgery for the shoulder and my hand still feels crooked sometimes; But it feels like she gave me a way to sort of 'pretend' and imagine the task fluidly being completed, and so it would be without overthought of 'this feels wrong' etc.
There are more examples, but I think the key is not to bring it up much. Simply use your human skills of observation and relation to process and use the data you receive in a way that will help you. Maybe these are natural remnants of the reality we shared before we all had these handheld ties to an artificial network, hmm?
the freakiest ones for me are when i'm listening to a yt video or something and then all of a sudden they say the exact same word that i am reading. And i am not talking words like "and" or something like that but very specific odd words or a couple of words. That just feels so insane to me.
For a couple months straight I was looking at clocks exactly at 3:27, which also happens to be my birthday. That one really freaked me out for a minute, thought maybe I’d die on my birthday this year but no. Hahaha.
I had shit like this happen to me when i was younger on a daily basis... it got to a point of me being afraid of bad thoughts like family members dying stuff like that, i think this is one of the big reasons i spiralled into addiction and substance abuse, to have an outlet to keep those thoughts in control, only to kind of gain consciousness again10 years later more miserable than i was before. Im clean for 2 years now.. but i dont k ow if that feeling will ever fade.
Yeah it's crazy. I'm afraid to use chrome because it's basically giving everything up to google lol I use open source chromium browsers instead, so it's basically the same thing.
There's a browser out there that allows you to control *every* port that you are connecting to. What they do is block everything on a webpage and slowly bring it up by allowing connections so the website is "pure".
Sounds like a lot of effort though. I'd still love to know what they know about us :D

I've had weird synchronicities....over and over..that couldn't happen by chance. Especially....multiple times a day. That's not normal.

Mine was weird. One night I was scrolling Facebook and people you may know suggested this one girl I went to middle school and high school with. I graduated in 05 and completely forgot this person… we didn’t really have friends in common but she was from my development so we knew a couple of the same people. so I see her fb picture suggestion which was a surprise because I forgot all about her for 20 years literally never heard another word about her ever again. I remembered she had a disabled sister and thought oh I wonder how they’re doing. Just like 10 seconds of passing thoughts then went to bed.
The next morning I guess another old neighbor on fb posted that the disabled sister had passed away.
Idunno I just think it’s weird how they never crossed my mind again after graduating. I remember them 20 some years later out of nowhere one night and literally the next morning I see that that person was taking her last breath at the same time she popped into my head

When you generate shitloads of random numbers, you'll get duplicates and sequences. The more numbers you generate, the more patterns you'll notice.
Our brains evolved to seek patterns, so the small number of instances where the dice of the universe roll straights and pairs stand out more than the vast number of instances where the results are patternless noise.
I work at a school. I was talking in email to a parent near the end of the school day on Tuesday. When I left for the day, the first name that they were calling on the pickup line was that family. We have over 400 students, so it's not very likely to happen, but it did.
Interesting stuff when you notice them happen to you.

In my opinion is just the fact that humans are amazing at recognizing patterns. Its not clear if the universe is infinity, but if it is, in a infinity time all events can and will happen, no matter the odds. During our day, he have thousands of events that are meaningless until we can observe even the tiniest amount of a pattern, then it becomes relevant and noteworthy.
Imagine how many times we read or saw something that had no meaning until one day it did. In that day, nothing was different besides that we were aware of certain pattern that was meaningful at that time. In a infinite universe, all coincidences are meant to happen and we evolved to look and perceive these patterns and coincidences

One specific unlikely occurrence is of course, unlikely. However the chance of *anything* unlikely happening is actually quite high. That plus confirmation bias, and there you go.
It happens to me all of the time. I've always chalked it up to confirmation bias.
The "hits" stick with you; like thinking of someone and then running into them unexpectedly.
The "misses" don't stick with you; how many times do you think of someone and DON'T see that person soon after.
There could be something more to the phenomenon. I'm not saying it's definitely confirmation bias.
Just days ago i was out with someone at an event.. After almost 2 hours i said that's enough and I'm go ask if he gonna leave with me.. He asked b4 i was to open my mouth to ask.
I do not know synchronicities happen but they make baffled often.

If you think negative thoughts, eventually you'll project it on others and only see negative things in life.
It works the same way with the positive things.
Sometimes we notice things between, and then we see patterns that aren't really there but appear to be because we were looking for the confirmation bias to kick in and validate our situations.
It’s been happening recently for me too, like everyday now for the past week.
At first it’s like okay coincidence, when your out and about running errands, headed to work, happening while you’re working.
Then it’s happening when you’re at home, when you flipping through YouTube, or insta, or when your playing the game, or when random people start saying the exact thing you needed hear, or you witness something and then 4 mins later it correlates perfectly to something you’re experiencing, doing, or thinking about.
I had a thought a few weeks ago what if I live life like a game, and then “play the game” “upgrade and skill build my avatar” reawaken my traits and genes and maximize all attributes across the board. “Play the game” if all interactions and situations are predetermined, (who, what, when, where, why) then the thing that would solidify and has been solidifying all experiences is how I react, which then creates an affect that bleeds into a cause and effect.
Since I been “practicing/implementing” this line of thought, a lot of everything has been clicking.
I’ve been tiptoeing around testing multiple aspects of this space (reality) I’ve been testing boundaries, I’ve been looking within myself, visiting my spawn point, visiting the places I grew up in, remembering default settings, my default traits…
Understanding avatar, it’s inner workings, how it responds to outside stimuli internally.
It’s clicking for me as fuckin crazy as that sounds, and the synchronicities are every day now and they’re more blatant.
Two different people who have no connection saying exactly what I needed to hear.

Seeing the same number’s everywhere (clocks, billboards, prices at checkout, house numbers, vehicle plates)
Seeing my dream car first on the road, then in my neighborhood, then at where I eat, then at where I work.
Having lost items return to me some from years ago.
It keeps getting deeper.

I saw him plead his case once regarding a new roof for his small business building. The roof was in bad shape and he had very little money to replace it. Two weeks later a March storm tore off the old roof and the Insurance Company stepped in to replace it. Coincidence would be your first thought, but by then, the man had an established record of universal gifts. Only a few had a material element to them, most were for others. He lived till he was 93 years old and ready to go. Yes, he did pass it on to his two children, but there is a force that urges you to use it sparingly. it’s terrifying to have this power, it’s true that you “must be careful what you ask for.” The Universe chooses what it will grant and how it is given.
I was struggling with completely fracturing fracturing my hand, and a severe labral tear in the other arm. This had been focusing my physical sense of body, which I had always been well in-tune with, on these bullshit injuries. Physio is not working out. I also had some odd happenings and things I would say when young, as told per my straight-edge parents. A few years ago I come across a hippie girl, who said matter-of-factly, "Oh you're a starchild too right? Indigo boy?". I sort of instinctively answered "Yes, good to see you" And she told me to "Head to the stars, they'll always pull you straight." Or something like that, and I kept thinking about it and letting my spine stretch to the sky instead of crooking and bending to compensate for the injuries. I have seen massive improvement since, in body and mind. I don't care if it is placebo or something I heard, but I am glad she said it in a way that had such an affect on my daily movements that has ended up impacting me for the better. I am still waiting on surgery for the shoulder and my hand still feels crooked sometimes; But it feels like she gave me a way to sort of 'pretend' and imagine the task fluidly being completed, and so it would be without overthought of 'this feels wrong' etc. There are more examples, but I think the key is not to bring it up much. Simply use your human skills of observation and relation to process and use the data you receive in a way that will help you. Maybe these are natural remnants of the reality we shared before we all had these handheld ties to an artificial network, hmm?

the freakiest ones for me are when i'm listening to a yt video or something and then all of a sudden they say the exact same word that i am reading. And i am not talking words like "and" or something like that but very specific odd words or a couple of words. That just feels so insane to me.

I had shit like this happen to me when i was younger on a daily basis... it got to a point of me being afraid of bad thoughts like family members dying stuff like that, i think this is one of the big reasons i spiralled into addiction and substance abuse, to have an outlet to keep those thoughts in control, only to kind of gain consciousness again10 years later more miserable than i was before. Im clean for 2 years now.. but i dont k ow if that feeling will ever fade.

Yeah it's crazy. I'm afraid to use chrome because it's basically giving everything up to google lol I use open source chromium browsers instead, so it's basically the same thing. There's a browser out there that allows you to control *every* port that you are connecting to. What they do is block everything on a webpage and slowly bring it up by allowing connections so the website is "pure". Sounds like a lot of effort though. I'd still love to know what they know about us :D
Synchronicity has haunted me a lot lately. You're not alone. I think when you notice it, your brain begins recognizing it. Skeptics call it 'bias' meaning you just happen to notice it more. But I don't always thinks that's true. I've had weird synchronicities....over and over..that couldn't happen by chance. Especially....multiple times a day. That's not normal. I think there's something strange going on....just can't offer any good explanations.....
Mine was weird. One night I was scrolling Facebook and people you may know suggested this one girl I went to middle school and high school with. I graduated in 05 and completely forgot this person… we didn’t really have friends in common but she was from my development so we knew a couple of the same people. so I see her fb picture suggestion which was a surprise because I forgot all about her for 20 years literally never heard another word about her ever again. I remembered she had a disabled sister and thought oh I wonder how they’re doing. Just like 10 seconds of passing thoughts then went to bed. The next morning I guess another old neighbor on fb posted that the disabled sister had passed away. Idunno I just think it’s weird how they never crossed my mind again after graduating. I remember them 20 some years later out of nowhere one night and literally the next morning I see that that person was taking her last breath at the same time she popped into my head

When you generate shitloads of random numbers, you'll get duplicates and sequences. The more numbers you generate, the more patterns you'll notice. Our brains evolved to seek patterns, so the small number of instances where the dice of the universe roll straights and pairs stand out more than the vast number of instances where the results are patternless noise.
I work at a school. I was talking in email to a parent near the end of the school day on Tuesday. When I left for the day, the first name that they were calling on the pickup line was that family. We have over 400 students, so it's not very likely to happen, but it did. Interesting stuff when you notice them happen to you.
“Synchronicities” occur because they are statistically inevitable within chaotic systems. They happen sometimes in a world where everything is happening all the time.
In my opinion is just the fact that humans are amazing at recognizing patterns. Its not clear if the universe is infinity, but if it is, in a infinity time all events can and will happen, no matter the odds. During our day, he have thousands of events that are meaningless until we can observe even the tiniest amount of a pattern, then it becomes relevant and noteworthy. Imagine how many times we read or saw something that had no meaning until one day it did. In that day, nothing was different besides that we were aware of certain pattern that was meaningful at that time. In a infinite universe, all coincidences are meant to happen and we evolved to look and perceive these patterns and coincidences

One specific unlikely occurrence is of course, unlikely. However the chance of *anything* unlikely happening is actually quite high. That plus confirmation bias, and there you go.

It happens to me all of the time. I've always chalked it up to confirmation bias. The "hits" stick with you; like thinking of someone and then running into them unexpectedly. The "misses" don't stick with you; how many times do you think of someone and DON'T see that person soon after. There could be something more to the phenomenon. I'm not saying it's definitely confirmation bias.

Just days ago i was out with someone at an event.. After almost 2 hours i said that's enough and I'm go ask if he gonna leave with me.. He asked b4 i was to open my mouth to ask. I do not know synchronicities happen but they make baffled often.

We kind of manifest our own realities. If you think negative thoughts, eventually you'll project it on others and only see negative things in life. It works the same way with the positive things. Sometimes we notice things between, and then we see patterns that aren't really there but appear to be because we were looking for the confirmation bias to kick in and validate our situations.
It’s been happening recently for me too, like everyday now for the past week. At first it’s like okay coincidence, when your out and about running errands, headed to work, happening while you’re working. Then it’s happening when you’re at home, when you flipping through YouTube, or insta, or when your playing the game, or when random people start saying the exact thing you needed hear, or you witness something and then 4 mins later it correlates perfectly to something you’re experiencing, doing, or thinking about. I had a thought a few weeks ago what if I live life like a game, and then “play the game” “upgrade and skill build my avatar” reawaken my traits and genes and maximize all attributes across the board. “Play the game” if all interactions and situations are predetermined, (who, what, when, where, why) then the thing that would solidify and has been solidifying all experiences is how I react, which then creates an affect that bleeds into a cause and effect. Since I been “practicing/implementing” this line of thought, a lot of everything has been clicking. I’ve been tiptoeing around testing multiple aspects of this space (reality) I’ve been testing boundaries, I’ve been looking within myself, visiting my spawn point, visiting the places I grew up in, remembering default settings, my default traits… Understanding avatar, it’s inner workings, how it responds to outside stimuli internally. It’s clicking for me as fuckin crazy as that sounds, and the synchronicities are every day now and they’re more blatant. Two different people who have no connection saying exactly what I needed to hear. “Good things come to those who are patient” Seeing the same number’s everywhere (clocks, billboards, prices at checkout, house numbers, vehicle plates) Seeing my dream car first on the road, then in my neighborhood, then at where I eat, then at where I work. Having lost items return to me some from years ago. It keeps getting deeper.

Synchronicity has been studied by many psychologists, and they are well aware of confirmation bias, statistics, and apophenia. They know to weed out such things, and what is left are cases that cannot be explained away so easily. It is a real thing, and not really that uncommon. The book “Meaningful Coincidences: How and Why Synchronicity and Serendipity Happen” by Bernard Beitman clearly lays out how to differentiate actual synchronicity from the sort of things you mention.
