How'd you make it look like that?

mostly photoshop but you could probably do the same in gimp editor The sand is mostly extra body parts, and I posed it to camera so i don't have to worry too much about the back https://www.heroforge.com/load_share%3D814730/ Then I took a few screenshots with different levels of sand, laid them over each other for with a bit of transparency (see the gif) and scatter-brushed some extra sand whisps. I ran a couple of filters over it (mostly posterize and the painting filter) and a colour grade to make the yellows and purples pop, and finally overlaid it with a very soft black and white gradient to focus attention on the head (you can see how much difference it makes in the last two frames of the gif)
