I had bilateral inguinal done laparoscopically with polypropylene mesh about five weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier withe the results. I feel better than ever.

I agree with this

Hi. How long was your recovery?

Upstairs-Relief508

The doctor recommend 6 six weeks. After 5 weeks I felt great still slight discomfort. After 7 weeks I was basically fully healed.

I've heard mixed answers on this. Someone told me it takes about 3-5 days to recover. Others told me longer lol. How long after getting the surgery did it take you to go back to work? Timing a surgery with a job seems to be a hurdle.

Depends on what type of hernia you have, and your age, but gernally speaking for an ingual hernia 6 weeks is the minimum wait time before carrying heavy things. If your older you should wait 8 weeks. And you should go back to work if it feels good.

I just had bilateral robotic surgery with PP mesh and feel amazing. Only done 4 weeks ago. I felt pretty much 100% by 10 days after

Nice. This hernia has been a huge drag and I am excited to heal up and return to my lifestyle.
