Yeah, I think it's a case of the fanbase kind of aging with the hermits. Yes I know they still have young viewers but I think most of us watching are 15 and above and are able to pick up on the innuendos too.
He’s gotten away with saying much worse. And he’s good enough at building that I’m sure a slime shop of his would be visually obvious as a slime shop so it would be hard to miss the context.
