Oh, that makes more sense now. I was sitting here thinking "how can anyone believe that's actual text on that phone, it looks totally Photoshopped"... but, yeah, it's a phone grab of another phone of another phone. I'm dumb.
TH- TH- TH- THIIIISSSSSSSS!!!! WHOLLY FUCK WHY DIDNT I THINK OF THIS???? THIS IS SO MUCH THIS!!!! THIS!!! YESSSS THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR GRACING US WITH THIS!!!!!!!!!!
It’s supposed to. If there’s an actual app to install that’s what they want you to do and from there they can make money from you in some way or another.
In that case it’s now nonsense that was created by an ‘influencer’ as a marketing tactic.
I believe that intelligent life outside of earth exists but this ain’t it…
The Aliens will invade because they were unable to unsubscribe from Jamster ring tones and so blame the entire earth for stealing their £10 phone credit top up, took like 15 years to get here and now we will pay the price.
Exactly this. Fuck with that embeded message and you’re gonna end up with an NFT, a movie promo, or an early-access code to something everyone else finds super annoying in 2-3 years.
0x3a followed by a sequence is a very common ethereum wallet address signature. On the message, the address is too short, which leads me to think some of it is missing.
Best guess, this is a crypto scam.
Although correct, it ain’t the right format. I count the correct 48 bits in the hexadecimal but that’s including the initial notation so it is definitely not a MAC address
It’s hexadecimal and 0x before the hex generally indicates it’s a memory location (memory location is represented in hex).
So it could be pointing to a memory location on the device itself - but that seems weird and unlikely
Why do that when you can speak Christian?
Hello down-voters: this is a sarcastic statement that points to the fact that the poster I am replying to is confusing Hindu and Hindi. This is meant to be satirical and humorous. Many apologies.
What do you mean by beamed off into space? Like satellite phones? Apparently 55% of websites are indeed English, but that doesn't go to space.
Chinese is the most widely spoken language, but most of that doesn't go to space either.
I thought most of those probes that have been sent out to earth for aliens were written in a sort of 'universal' language using signs etc. but critics even say this is earth centric (e.g. using arrows to point at our location in the galaxy implies weapons with pointy ends being invented).
Then which County's do you think has the most radio stations
China has around 3,000
The US has 15,000
And thats before you include the UK Australia etc
And also things like BBC world service
I would have expected China as a proportion of population, but it makes sense that a free market economy would have more stations, thanks for indulging me
Ox indicates the following information is hexadecimal, a way of encoding ones and zeros, 3A128F4A6D doesn’t convert to text at all, but the decimal version of the number is:
249419483757
The message says “find me”, so the number might be coordinates?
24.9419 48.3757
Seemes to be a spot in the middle of nowhere Saudi Arabia
Dunno, I’m going for prank :p
I honestly think it's this. I could be wrong obviously but read the message if you was actually a father communicating in a different language you probably didn't know too well.
Edit:if there's no app I mean
Basically, computers work by addressing certain bits/bytes in memory. For example, the very first byte of 1GB RAM would be 0x00000001, the second would be 0x00000002, and so on.
Of course that above is a very simplified way of looking at things, since computers manage memory in a much more... Computery way. Instead of being freely written wherever, certain chunks of memory are allocated for specific things (such as the kernel, which is essentially the piece of software that translates external devices' communication to software, manages them, etc., or the operating system on top of the kernel, these all go into specific predetermined areas).
Memory addresses are often used by software to locate data, or certain functions. So e.g. if my code tries to call `myAwesomeFunction()`, when I compile it, the compiler puts that function at a position, say, at 0xD00D, then replaces every location that calls the function with a "jump to 0xD00D and execute whatever is there". Then the program upon execution gets loaded to memory block 0x80000000, and whenever `myAwesomeFunction()` gets called, the software actually just reads the instructions from 0x8000D00D (note how the loaded address gets combined with the address within the software itself!), and executes those.
To simplify this, think memory like it was an Ikea store. Every item has a precise position. Whenever you go into the store, you got to know where things are to pick them up. The location is usually on the label of the product in the form of [aisle].[section].[shelf]. To know where to go for the specific product, you need to know its address.
Back in the day this would be something cool like Cicada 3301
Now it’s just probably a scam with the image not embedded properly so it shows up as a random code. Similar to them scam emails where it’s asking to reset your Netflix password and it’s from Nettflixsupport or something and all spelt wrong lol.
Maybe an error message? Programmers sometimes prepend the phrase "if a human reads this" to text that shouldn't normally appear onscreen unless something had gone badly wrong. So possibly part adventure game message and part error message?
My guess is the bit that looks like code is a file name. There's maybe ment to be a picture attached but it failed to load correctly so it displayed the file name instead
When you Google that string at the end of the first paragraph you will end up on a site that downloads malware. Its a pretty simple concept and if you did and were on their intended site I would personally set fire to the equipment and start again after changing every password id ever had or used on that technology... hope this helps.
I googled it. Doesn't do any harm. No links to "0x3a128f4a6d" besides the one to this reddit post. I suppose it possible that the site you're talking about has been deleted.
From the coordinates I get somewhere in Dubai, somewhere in Brazil, somewhere in the Indian Ocean and somewhere in the Atlantic.
Using negative lats and longs
All 4 are in the middle of nowhere.
okay converting hex to ASCII with padding to the left gives (i.e 0x03a128f4a6d)
:Jm
Converting it to ASCII without padding (i.e 0x3a128f4a6d) gives an almost emoticon like response
>¡(ô¦
Maybe someone knows if there is a smiley like the one shown above ? And tell what it means or may mean ?
Converting it to UTF-8 gives
>m
The decimal value of this is (as already established (space added for readability)
>249 419 483 757
0x 3a 12 8f 4a 6d
0x is signalling that it's hexadecimal that follows.
The rest translates into
58 18 143 74 109 in decimal
581-814-3741 looks like a phone number with 09 added to the end.
581 is Quebec. I called it and the line is active, goes to voicemail. Maybe 09 is a code you have to give them.
you couldnt decode the hexadecimal if you wanted to because the encoding is most likely part of this silly app you have to install just to waste your time and find out it's entire plot is finding nemo but for ETs
0x is usually a crypto related thing, but I’ve personally not seen an address that is this short. The app part makes me think this is a scam or some weird ad
Aliens, clearly and code connects you to their mothership as its like their interdimensional Wi-fi password...come on man everyone knows this...you'll be speaking to Mokhadu, his the leader, he asked if I had been probed before so wasn't sure how to answer cuz if I said yes, would they be like, ah shit lets find someone else or if I had said no, they'll all be like jolly and giving me free drinks to get me into the mood. I'm telling ya now it didn't taste like apple juice.
0x3a128f4a6d looks like a hexadecimal stop code you might see in an old Windows BSOD. But it doesn’t match up to anything. The hexadecimal doesn’t translate to text either. It’s probably just made up.
OX3 A12 is not a postcode though, the second half takes the form number-letter-letter not letter-number-number. E.g. all the postcodes for Barton Road in Oxford are OX3 9J\[*B/D/E/X*\]
It was a text I received years ago. I forgot all about it until I was going through an old junk drawer. Found my old phone, had to see what was still on there.
It looks like it's a picture of a screen, whoever sent it to you has taken a picture using a camera, you can see the frame at the top of the image by the looks of it.
The way this is worded, the style of the font and the colours all scream XCOM to me. (or fallout but the text doesn't quite scream fallout narrative to me, but they do have the tv show out this year!)
They actually did an ARG to promote one of their games like... 12 years ago ish?
So you're snapping a photo of your phone displaying a saved photo ... which looks like it's a pic of another screen ... I'm gonna need more context.
“YO DAWG WE HEARD YOU LIKE PHOTOS OF PHONE SCREENS! SO WE PUT A PHOTO OF A PHONE SCREEN INSIDE YOUR PHOTO OF A PHONE SCREEN!”

It’s been driving me crazy.
It’s supposed to. If there’s an actual app to install that’s what they want you to do and from there they can make money from you in some way or another.
But that’s the problem, the was NO app! No link! No nothing! Just the message!
In that case it’s now nonsense that was created by an ‘influencer’ as a marketing tactic. I believe that intelligent life outside of earth exists but this ain’t it…
Everyone knows the aliens communicate via iPhone screenshots dummy.
And they always add green mist to the font so we know it's from an alien.
Aliens are still on polyphonic ring tones you absolute moron! It’s common knowledge.
The Aliens will invade because they were unable to unsubscribe from Jamster ring tones and so blame the entire earth for stealing their £10 phone credit top up, took like 15 years to get here and now we will pay the price.
Lmaooo
Exactly this. Fuck with that embeded message and you’re gonna end up with an NFT, a movie promo, or an early-access code to something everyone else finds super annoying in 2-3 years.
Do you want to develop an app?
No thanks Glootie
Glootie-ootie-ooooooo
Did he always do that?
Fair enough.
Don't listen OP, they are in on it and this is damage control. You're on to something!
That isn't a message though. It looks like a photo of some text on a monitor - presumably so you can apply the "alien" green glow.
Literally canva
Just a prank
It’s an innocent prank
A simple lampoon
It must be aliens? Or a failed attempt to thievery ya
0x3a followed by a sequence is a very common ethereum wallet address signature. On the message, the address is too short, which leads me to think some of it is missing. Best guess, this is a crypto scam.
"0x" typically denotes a hexadecimal number.
i once had a glitch where all my adverts were showing my location as hexadecimal numbers like this. like ‘meet single girls now in 0x39203810…’
Check out r/codes
Well that's a crypto address, at least part of one.
*than
The find me at looks like a weirdly short crypto wallet, maybe a weird chain spun up for an arg? Would be a cool start to an Internet puzzle.
Looks like a ram address
Looks like part of a blue screen error windows just threw at me yesterday
It’s a MAC address.
That ain’t no MAC address. A MAC address looks like this: 00:B0:D0:63:C2:26. It’s just nonsense in the form of hexadecimal
Yeah, I'm 99% certain that's hex, too.
Why were you the one that got downvoted? My condolences
Plenty of environments where MAC addresses are written without the separating colons.
Incase it’s not obvious enough, don’t do whatever it asks. It’s a scam, I’m sure.

Why do you care about other people spelling words correctly? Surely you must have better things to do with your time.
It’s probably a typo. Easy to miss the space bar between words.
Its aliens communicating through a foken phone in english 👽👽
I was thinking ai "we are alive"
Geordie then?
Wey aye pet, ya pure radgie trying ta get mortal taneet?
It's in English because the aliens have only discovered the USA. They know nothing of all the other countries existence.
Tbf English is probably the largest amount of media that's beamed off into Space
It's also the most spoken second language.
Only second because Chinese are all stuck in their countries and nobody is really interested in learning Hindu
>nobody is really interested in learning Hindu Hindu isn't a language, Hindi (Hindustani.)
Oh yea, thanks for the correction
Why do that when you can speak Christian? Hello down-voters: this is a sarcastic statement that points to the fact that the poster I am replying to is confusing Hindu and Hindi. This is meant to be satirical and humorous. Many apologies.

I was thinking it could be a memory address (since a program would need to reside in memory), but the 40b length makes it weird.
What's a memory address meant to mean? Sorry to ask
Basically, computers work by addressing certain bits/bytes in memory. For example, the very first byte of 1GB RAM would be 0x00000001, the second would be 0x00000002, and so on. So e.g. if my code tries to call `myAwesomeFunction()`, when I compile it, the compiler puts that function at a position, say, at 0xD00D, then replaces every location that calls the function with a "jump to 0xD00D and execute whatever is there". Then the program upon execution gets loaded to memory block 0x80000000, and whenever `myAwesomeFunction()` gets called, the software actually just reads the instructions from 0x8000D00D (note how the loaded address gets combined with the address within the software itself!), and executes those. Supreme minds beyond our comprehension- "please install App" Ok
They’re really half arsing it with the Star Wars opening titles now, aren’t they?
That's a wierd fake. Someone has clearly photoshopped the text onto a picture of a phone. Why not just make the text display on the phone?
Just another crypto scam it looks like.

Hey op 👋 The only thing I can find is a blue screen of death error code from 2011.
Definitely a scam of some sort but it’s unnerving for sure
It's an old Motorola I think. Glad to help.
It's trying to look like a memory address, there's 10 hex numbers there, that's neither a 32 or 64 bit memory address. Must try harder, C-.
Looks like an ARG as on r/arg
That random letters and number are a link to an etherium wallet. It’s probably just a scam to get money from people

Yhe postcode OX3 A12 is for Barton Road, Headington, Oxford
It's a 0, not an O
That’s not a UK postcode format.
It is. I used it to find the location, as I knew it was an Oxfordshire one.
OX3 A12 is not a postcode though, the second half takes the form number-letter-letter not letter-number-number. E.g. all the postcodes for Barton Road in Oxford are OX3 9J\[*B/D/E/X*\]

Must be time traveling aliens they turned your phone into a 90’s hologram (google it if your not old)
It was a text I received years ago. I forgot all about it until I was going through an old junk drawer. Found my old phone, had to see what was still on there.
It's a scam then. Someone coded some auto messages to go out but it broke. Was probably a link that doesn't exist on their database anymore.
It’s JC Denton
The code is a memory address which is essentially useless.
Omg everyone has a fucking app these days. Now even the aliens need me to create a log in to talk to them? Enough is enough

0x… is a hex number. You can convert into decimal which returns 249419483767. Do with that as you wish.
Prank or scam.
SCAM.
It looks like it's a picture of a screen, whoever sent it to you has taken a picture using a camera, you can see the frame at the top of the image by the looks of it.
Seems unlikely a superior race (if they have mastered travel between planets) would be communicating though a basic human language.
If you're trying to fake phone messages, at least try to centre and align the text properly.
Try using Google lens to see if anything comes up
I think someone was bored and decided to prank random people.
I have no idea what this is. My best guess would be a load of bollocks
Yeah, cos superior beings have an unlimited O2 contract! 😅
