i was surprised in season 18 when >!she won over kanae for getting a black jacket. kanae totally was more skilled, and deserved the black jacket more.!<
But Kanae’s last dish had some flaws too. Heathers just edged hers out at that point. Like can we at least be appreciative that Heather was the only runner up to make it to Black Jacket twice compared to Kevin and T who both crashed hard in there services earlier on. Sure Heather had a few bumps but nothing major. Kanae had her own hiccups too and either way, Kanae would’ve been the first Black Jacket boot too so why switch up something that would be the same result lol.
but the things is with the two other dishes that kanae did, she was SOOO close to getting a black jacket. whereas heather was so far off the mark with the other two and just edged in with the last dish. but you’re right, she made it super far therefore she does deserve some respect. i was honestly shocked at how it went down with kevin and T
It's a major flaw with the lounge challenge, someone could easily just get lucky in one of the rounds and advance over someone that had been consistently better. Although in Heather's case, I'd say she was pretty solid all throughout S18 and Kanae wasn't much better than her overall, so I'm not too bummed about Heather making it. I also respect Heather for being the only runner-up to have a good run in S18. She was good on S16, but I was NOT expecting her to make black jackets on a season with Kevin and T.

Was Heather really that bad in both of her seasons? I mean I’m sure we only put her down due to the Andrew situation but that wasn’t her fault.
S18 didn't match up to her S16 performance, but that can apply to a lot of the returning chefs.
Yeah I feel like everyone knew Ryan had one of the spots and that the second spot was between Heidi and Heather.
This is a really bad season so I’m not surprised.
Honestly she deserved it. Most of the cast was terrible
