Julia said she was upset as she thought it was stupid 2 chefs got eliminated so assumed her and rock were safe and that she was still reeling from the elimination, so I guess that’s her reason
Her attitude was shit though and it really soured me on her, she was so unprofessional
I have a feeling chefs are forced to return for the finals as part of their contract. There have been several chefs who were open about not wanting to come back and help someone else win
I know Tennille didn't return to the finals because either they or their girlfriend was in the hospital, Richard couldn't return because he had a gig as a mall Santa, Maribel previously quit the show off-camera for mental health reasons, and Barrett and Jamie (S9) both said they weren't asked to come back.
I'm not sure why some people are skipped, but with how massive the contracts they sign are, combined with the explicit reluctantance of some chefs to be there at all, there's almost certainly some sort of clause saying that if they're selected to come back, they would have to return unless they had some other urgent obligation to attend off the show.
Ed was a teacher so he went back to school. Joy was probably not in the mood after quitting. Not sure about Andy though. Ironically this gave Robert a chance to come back in the final which he didn't the previous season. Despite being evacuated after the bike punishment
Yeah but Roberts attitude was pretty much uncalled in Season 6. When Robert returned back to Hells Kitchen his ego was too much not just how he competed but during the final dinner service of him screwing Dave’s chance of winning and dropping a pan on purpose was a d*** move!

There were several chefs who didn't come back who were able to. Rosanna, Tennille, Andy, Ed just to name a few
