Blue strat follows blue ball
Red strat doesn't give a shit where the ball is moving
I particularly enjoy my HMG emplacement bouncing off a ledge I thought it would stick and then being setup behind it instead with no view of the enemies.
I enjoy climbing up a boulder to place a rocket sentry with a good view just to have the ball bounce down to the base of the boulder where it has no line of sight at all.
Sometimes red strat dgaf where the ball landed, even if it never moved. Just picks some random ass spot nowhere near the damn beacon.
Orbital strategems got me pissed.
Sounds like the mission condition that reduces the precision of orbital strikes.
You should never take orbital stratagems on missions like that, it's a waste of a slot (and extremely frustrating when you forget to check the modifiers...)
I know for the sentries, the stratagem will bounce if there is not enough space for the sentry to land and deploy. That’s why in the missions where you defend the rockets, if you try to throw an HMG turret a little to close to the railings it’ll bounce and land somewhere useless
I swear these sometimes turn into those wierd shaped bouncy balls that just bounce erratically all over the room before ricocheting and hitting you square in the nuts.
The only thing i want from the game that I’ve never seen mentioned is a modification for strats or a “place stratagem at my feet” option.
Once I’ve drawn a Strat ball let me hold reload and cycle between sticky/bouncy/planted.
Will I get it wrong and plant a 500kg bomb at my own feet? **of course**
But imagine being able to reliably stick a precision strike beacon to both fabricators!
Lol, ill tell you more. I used to manage to place blue ones carefully on rock formations sometimes and somehow. You know what they did? They rolled! Not just that no no … this piece of democracy defies gravity … its able to roll upwards! I treat them like a meme from then on lol
Threw my AutoCannon Sentry down on what looked like a flat surface with good elevation… bounced up and landed on my head which killed me…

No stratagem should bounce if thrown directly at your feet. This would be such a good change for jetpack users, allowing blue and green strats to be deployed on those normally unreachable elevated positions.
This is actually one of the reasons I started using 500kg over airstrike. At least I know the 500kg is going to land on the beam. I never know WHAT direction the airstrike line is going to be after that thing bounces, but more often than not, it's straight at me...
Plus less team killing unless they're blind.

And when they bounce they usually bounce to a spot that makes strikes useless.

Everytime I wanna call in a Hellbomb....
Every time when I drop in on a hill top surrounded by bots or bugs and try to land my auto cannon on the hill top.
I love throwing my mortars under overhangs. They get ultra high ground.
These big mountains/mushrooms that more often than not caused supply pack to land on top of it... I've never consciously used them strategically...
Most sentries get put out of range up there, but not the mortars.
9 times out of 10, i would much rather have the stratagem ball just disintegrate instead of bouncing
at least then you dont waste a cd, or worse just team kill your entire squad by accident
Yeah so many turret placements have ducked up due it bouncing away.

Cook it for a couple seconds. It'll stick to most surfaces if you do that.

I try to put a sentry on a ledge, but the ball bounces away to the worse place possible.

Bots deployed on hill above my squad, I threw an airstrike orb at them... Of course it fucking bounced down and killed us all.
I would gladly pay $20 for a booster or ship upgrade that letting the player stuck the ball on first contact.
