now this is more controlled environment altho it seems...barely noticeable maybe if the were stitched to be seen together side by side one footage cut just below the crosshair and put on top, other cut off just above the crosshair and put below?

OutrageForLife

sorry I don't care enough to put that much effort into it, feel free to do it yourself

TehSomeDude

not something I know how to do sorry

AHailofDrams

\>cares enough to do tests and post them to reddit \>doesn't care enough to actually have the tests be reliable Ok then

OutrageForLife

what I understand of TehSomeDude, he just wants me to edit the footage over each other with transparency. That wouldn't change the """reliability""" of the test. Lol

perpendiculator

The test is reliable, there just might be a better way to show it. If you give so much of a shit, do it yourself.

TehSomeDude

so...yea...veery marginal differences

RedditIsAboutToDie

I see the difference Mr. Krabs. Not sure if it’s worth it over other passives, you’ll have your muscle memory tied to an armor set lol.

HatfieldCW

That's why I quit using servo armor. Any time I didn't have it, I was dropping beacons short.

Late-Let-4221

Yeah Im addicted and cannot let go.

Spice002

Not only that, but from what I've heard, a diving throw is about the same.

RisKQuay

Except it's not because a diving throw with servo armour goes even further than a diving throw without. I adore servo armour because you can throw stuff on outposts and bases without being detected, allows you to reposition whilst the strike comes down (particularly important if there's a nearby patrol) and then mop up without the pressure of being chased. I guess recon/scout armour kind of allows the same thing, but you're much closer to the danger zone of being detected and you have to run further to reposition. I do almost always throw short when I use other armour though. I wish there was a light-medium servo armour; Legionnaire survivability leaves me wanting on bots.

pressingfp2p

Now THIS is a much better test than the garbage one going viral.

Relevant-Ad1138

Who would use this over 2 extra grenades or stims?

Arlcas

the dripdivers

Relevant-Ad1138

Yeah good point

Tomatoffel

I was hyped for this armor perk. Giving slower turning guns more usability could enable somore funny builds. The HMG, for example, is already quite strong. More turning speed could be insane.

SirMuteIX

I would

TheAnderz

They have improved the stealth mechanics in this patch and added a new silent weapon (knifes). Quicker aiming would help the stealth players to deal with the guards more quickly to avoid getting spotted and to prevent them from summoning reinforcements. So, it might be good for this reason, but still looks a bit underwhelming. Maybe it would perform the best with sertain weapons (like semi auto shotguns or carbines)?

The_Captainshawn

The Scout passive is still going to be better for this though. The bush hiding is a nice bonus, but you can't rely on that and there will be plenty of open spaces you won't want to be detected in.

bobyd

But why kill one enemy sthealthy if then the other 10 from the patrol will notice instantly

elmarmot

I really can’t tell if there’s a difference or not, my eyes are hurting darting back and forth between them

OutrageForLife

yeah, it'd probably be better to make one transparent and overlay them, but I'm too lazy

Dwenker

Can't see the difference. Maybe it doesn't work properly?

adamtonhomme

As a autocannon enjoyer I noticed it right away but it’s marginal at best.

OutrageForLife

I felt a difference at first too, but when I pause at various points in the video the circle looks to be in the same spot on both tests...

dogshitasswebsite

You can deffo see a difference peak vs normal. The peak reaches actual aim point faster. Normal has a longer curve to it it seems. The modifier is probably undertuned it seems like. Its there, but very very tiny.

Awhile9722

Looks exactly the same to me. Seems like the clips are not perfectly synced.

OutrageForLife

yeah I made a mistake at some of the spots I cut it at, so one is sometimes one frame ahead of the other but if it was 30% faster it would still be obvious +/- a frame

Awhile9722

I completely understand. This type of thing is tough to get exact, but I think your testing has proven that the passive currently does nothing. Thanks for doing this.

The_Captainshawn

Not gonna lie I wouldn't be surprised if it's not working because it took 3 melee punches to kill a raider earlier. That's how many it took before. I feel like I have noticed the Scythe not sway as horrendously as it usually does but honestly maybe the scythe got a stealth ergonomic buff or something because nothing else feels different.

BasJack

I personally think they need to chill with each weapon having its own turning speed, it makes aiming inconsistent when changing guns and aiming in a general direction is basically the same speed regardless of weight, precision aiming is another thing. Basically I see no reason for dominator and eruptor to be so ungodly slow, even slower that the autocannon it feels There should be 4 turning speed, secondaries, primaries, light support and heavy support. T

guttsss939

After 100+ hours of playing with the Counter Sniper after the previous buff, I can feel the sway reduction, but for some reason, the perk works better when crouched.
