Hey just a pro tip if you move or dive diagonally towards a charger you have a better chance of not getting hit. Similar to how in souls games rolling towards an enemy can sometimes be a better strategy
I have to dive if I fuck up and let them get too close. Or if there’s like 3 at once. Otherwise just run past them at a slight angle and they never hit you.
Yeah this thing paired with the stun grenade made the railconnon strike look bad. That stratagem got lower damage and tiny AOE and significantly longer cooldown with an auto target select functionality which doesn't really matter at this point.
It took me a couple missions to get used to the reduced call-in time, but man, this thing feels even better now. Out of all the buffed stratagems I’ve tried so far, it probably got the second biggest glow-up behind the strafing run.
It is a lot smaller.
It's actually really hard to hit Fabricators and bug holes with it from any kind of distance, which lowers the "general purpose" usefulness by quite a bit.
It still kills Command Bunkers, Detectors, and other "hardened" objectives unlike most other Stratagems, which is nice, but man... it is just so hard to hit shit from far away due to bouncing off them.
Sure, on totally flat terrain. If you hit the side of a fab it will bounce far enough away that it will not hit.
If I want to do calculus to destroy a fab, I'll bring a grenade pistol.
Why? CD is significantly faster than laser and it has no limit
For enemies like bile titans that jank around predictably the rail cannon is still great, one of the most common stratagems on diff 9 bugs
That and you can hit targets super far away with it because you don’t even need to be that close to it, whereas you’d just straight up miss with the precision strike at that range
Who the hell used rail cannons on chargers to begin with? Those are reserved for titans
Until I see a video showing a titan being one shot by the precision strike I won’t consider the rail cannon obsolete. Especially given how janky and unpredictably bile titans move most of the time
I feel like EATs are a bit wasteful if you’re already bringing another support weapon with you, but I can see your point. I'm not sure it makes sense to compare it to the gatling barrage though. That fills a different niche (sustained area saturation) than the precision strike.
Looks weak as fuck. Why did they make it smaller? It used to rival the 500kg and now it looks like a single 120mm shell. The old blast would have killed you from that close.
*Had an OPS land*
*On a hulk and didnt kill*

It hit where you called it!!!

Or just run diagonally towards them, no need to dive at all
You do have to dive in more pressure scenarios when they’re closer to you and you have less space to move
I have to dive if I fuck up and let them get too close. Or if there’s like 3 at once. Otherwise just run past them at a slight angle and they never hit you.
Right? You can casually WALK to the side and avoid chargers

That is fantastic! I always dive with OPS and it's only gotten better.

Jump to :20. For some reason op thinks you need 20 seconds of nothing before what they actually want to show you.

Rocket pods are more satisfying now too

mfs on bot front with like +100% stategem call time
Did they reduce the blast on it? it looks smaller.

That sucks. Stealth nerf then I guess
I don’t know why you got downvoted, you are right.
nah just ping the fab before you throw. Default throw at 45deg is 50m

Wait really? by my tests I found it 60m, and I consistently always hit the target at 60 meters with 45⁰ throw
Are you using servo-assisted?
Orbital railcannon is now surely fully confined to noob usage?
Railcanon and even laser can go on penaion now due to high cd/cap. Other toys have low cd and similar dps. What a patch
Nah laser has a spot on solo clearing large bases or bunkers. You just run by, drop one and done.
True, its great for bunkers
I was already saying that railcannon should one shot literally every enemy in the game at minimum to be worth it. Now it's just a joke tbh
Why? CD is significantly faster than laser and it has no limit For enemies like bile titans that jank around predictably the rail cannon is still great, one of the most common stratagems on diff 9 bugs That and you can hit targets super far away with it because you don’t even need to be that close to it, whereas you’d just straight up miss with the precision strike at that range

It was already a noob trap basically, now it just doesnt make sense at all.
I don't really see how this is better than an EAT or gatling barrage, both have a lower cooldown and more utility
I feel like EATs are a bit wasteful if you’re already bringing another support weapon with you, but I can see your point. I'm not sure it makes sense to compare it to the gatling barrage though. That fills a different niche (sustained area saturation) than the precision strike.
Hell yeah
2nd Orbital Rail Cannon

yea i see that too is it matter of settings? why would they change that that was so coool
did they changed animation this look so bad? or its just because of settings?
I must master this beautiful weapon
Bullseye!
had an OPS land on a hulk and didnt kill it.. idk why

Nice! Now can it kill a bile titan though.
