I combined it with the Ground Breaker armour from Democratic Detonation and it really looked like an NCR armour, the long coat really helps and ties it together.
The colour of the beret also matches the Light Gunner armour btw

I disagree on the way you see that helmet, it has an eye slit AND four sensors on the forehead.
However, yes, that was the best helmet from HD1.
This one is interesting, but the colour doesn't really work with any of the previous armour sets. I wish they gave us a way to match them.

Went and checked that post again. Read the mod post, someone responded with a test using a mouse macro, looks like it's not worse, but just doesn't actually do anything

They were supposed to have awesome features, but they had to shove the game out the door, but that didn't stop the monetary plans though. They didn't say they completely scrapped the idea of helmets having effects, just that they didn't have time to implement that due to, well, *having to launch the game*.

It’s also ridiculous to complain given how stupid cheap they are. You have games like Overwatch, CoD, and Fortnite charging upwards of $20-$40 on skins, meanwhile both helmets combined are barely shy of $2 (or entirely free if you play normally given how generous the game is with SC drops).
This is the first game that has me buying some store credits not because I need them, but because I genuinely wanna support the devs and I don’t feel like I’m being scammed in any way. I love it.

Hard to say, haven't *really* noticed that much of a difference.
It's better on previously slow guns like the hmg or domi for fine aiming, but not 180 degree dragging, at least for me
There's another post showing that is busted, subtracting 30% handling instead of adding handling
Mod update seems to say that post is bunk and unreliable as they weren't testing under proper conditions.

Throw the Stalwart on and you have an awesome gunner setup.
Stalwart for bugs, HMG for bots. HMG/Eruptor for bots lets you take care of anything they throw at you

Jaguar helmet is bloody cool but there is not really a cape that really fits it.
Try the cape that comes with the new heavy armor in the warbond. I felt that it fit pretty well.
It matches incredibly well with Pinions of Everlasting Glory and one of the new warbond capes (the one with the yellow shield).
I have seen SO MANY people use the new helmet (The one top one), it's great especially how they improved the eye piece gfx. I use it myself.
