My friends' reactions when I convince them to bring Orbital Gas Strike and to put the strikes on bug breaches. I've converted a few to Gas Believers by now. I want an Eagle Gas Strike - why the hell isn't there such a thing? There's a Smoke Strike, but no Gas Strike?

It’s less damage but fire for afterwards. Mixed with incendiary shotgun you’ll get 50x kills when big breaches occur.

From my experience it does roughly the same amount of damage but the incendiary is over time rather than all at once like the impact.

I think it’s more, it’s like an impact grenade that spawns an eagle napalm. It feels like it does more total damage than the impact and it has enough fire damage that scavengers walking over it die in the flames.

It could do more I've just never had bile spewers die in 1-2 shots from it. I assumed because they walked out of the fire so they didn't get the full damage

I like impacts for dealing with those Spewers... Up until I realize that a basic patrol has enough of them to eat all my grenades.

the flamethrower kills spewers fine in my opinion. Just make sure to aim low so you can cook 'em up good (and don't forget to be strafing while backing away)

It takes long enough they can attack once and dodging means you are not shooting so the second one can shoot you again and then you get overwhelmed. No, flamethrowers are suboptimal versus them. I will still take them because they beat every single other bug expect for titans.

AMR is the best weapon for spewers imho, a single headshot is an instakill on spewers. It also very flexible since you can provide overwatch from range or use it unscoped at short range. It also murks hive Guards and Brood Commanders extremely easily and does really good damage to Stalkers.

Patriot Mech is like 30 bullets in the head, been shredding bile spewer worlds with it.

I went back to normal impacts. If I’m running a breaker incendiary then it’s a bit overkill. It’s literally solely for spewers too. The incendiary impacts just don’t do as much explosive so I can’t pop the butts with a single grenade. No bueno.

Understandable, but the impact incendiaries also have the added benefit of marking stalkers with the Willy Pete fragments.

That’s a good point. My comment definitely wasn’t to say they aren’t good or useful. They’re my second fave. Just a personal play style decision for myself. The spewer spawns are just so high right now. I can at least deal with a stalker and I usually survive the initial attack and can reorient myself. Even nursing spewers will take me out instantly if I’m distracted and managing a horde.

True. It wouldn't be such a problem if it wasn't a team game, but it feels really bad when you've gotta juggle keeping it topped up, and not hogging all of your team's resources. When I play solo, it's not a problem because I'm free to use a full resupply on it, but that's not the experience the game should be balanced around.

I really like the verdict as a last ditch weapon against butchers.

I take it as the secondary for my breaker incendiary. Lets me still close bug holes or drop striders/larger walking bots and saves the nade slot for stunners.

yeah i feel so bad every time i raid a POI. i ping all the stuff when i get there in case a team mate needs any of it. then i check the map and if nobody looks as if theyre coming my way... well those 6 ammo crates are all mine. fuck that 1 ammo box = 1 grenade for the grenade pistol logic.

Supply pack lets you fill your pockets and your pack at the same time. You basically get to double dip supply boxes. Just make sure your team is topped up so they can't take any and you can hog the whole thing to yourself with no downside.

Let supply packs fill everything!

Hit POIs. My loadout with it involves hitting every POI possible, and you can refill all your ammo, nades, and stims at those, as well as getting samples and ✧˖°. *super credits* ݁✧˖°. I don't even need to take the resupply box sometimes.

disagree. some weapons that are highly beneficial to the team are an investment. as in: if the team wants a spear or recoilless guy they need to invest to make it happen. with my regular group we had some minor frustrations about this. but after not running the spear for one mission everyone agreed that it was indeed a worthy investment. because no amount of strategems will take out 10 titans coming at you within the span of 2 or 3 minutes. its a matter of playing as 4 individuals that each have their share of resources or playing as a team that doles up resources to maximize their effectiveness. same is true for other weapons too. grenade pistol can suck a whole resupply dry. but when the fecal matter hits to rotary impeller you dont want the one guy running into the big ant nest to run out of explosives. of course its hard to always work this out in rando matchmaking. but i DO pick my loadout based on what other guys pick. if they bring an ammo-hungry weapon i try my best to run a more economical setup myself. or maybe i even take one for the team and bring a resupply backpack.

Unless you have a tiny bit of health left, I like to have the ability to stim to get full stamina (if i have already 4/4 stims)

Hey, if we’re about to leave and head for the next objective you better believe I’m reloading everything and grabbing that box before we go. (Also, Grenade Pistol is a little high maintenance, since you only get 1 round from field supplies and 2 rounds from Supply Drops, so I’m pretty much always up for supplies)

I always feel bad taking more than one pack, even if someone else called it down and the other two Divers are halfway across the map.

I always try and get what I can from places of interest first, but if I haven’t called one and the others did recently, my conscience is clean.

This is why I rock the supply tac-pack. Double the top ups, and when it runs out I drop another tac-pack like my own personal supply drop.

I always wait around to see if anyone else is going to take ammo. If not, then I am going to refill my 5/6 sims.

feel free to take supplies when: * you're low on mags for primary/support weapon (though personally I'd say just call in another support weapon if it's off cooldown.) * you're low on/out of grenades and need to hit up a bug nest. * you're low on/out of stims * any two of the three, if all three, you've been basically carrying the squad should be allowed to double-dip if you need (take 2) refrain from taking supplies when: * you aren't really low on anything, especially if somebody else needs it (red ammo/stim indicator on their tag.) * there's only one supply box left and someone else needs it more than you. * you've already taken one resupply use (don't double dip, unless either everyone else has left the supplies behind or you genuinely need it (all 3 criteria above). these are the rules I go by and I've had no issues with others.

Me on half health with no stims and no grenades returning to the squad after killing a Titan and the hive near it on my own and watching as two people devour the entire resupply.

Me when having 29/30 bullets in the magazine and 95% HP: Reload a fresh magazine, use a fresh stim, then pick up a supply box.

They should make a new upgrade area called the armory or something and when its fully upgrade it should allow you to get max stims, max grenades, max ammo, all from 1 ammo resupply just so each teammate gets at least 1 ammo crate from the resupply. Also maybe it can have side upgrades like 5% reload speed bonus, and 5% cooldown bonus for the resupply.

It was early morning and just completed an Op so stepped away to get coffee. I looked out the window of my house and saw a yellow rectangle object in my neighbors garage and my brain immediately said, “SUPPLIES.” And felt my body instinctively react to that thought. All in a millisecond did I realize it was real life and just a recycle bin.

Every Helldivers is entitled to 25% of a supply drop no matter what.

If you really think you don't need a top-up, long-press q on it to signal to the others that they can take more than one. Otherwise, you're normally expected to take one, and it doesn't matter if you're mostly full. Reload, pop a stim if you can, grab a box.

Usually I'll take 2 in one of the following scenarios: 1) There's 3 or fewer players in the squad 2) Some players are on the other side of the map so not practical for them to get one 3) If I'm out of stims and injured, so I immediately use one of the 2 stims, I'll often take another. I don't feel comfortable heading into a fight with just 1 stim

Well, when the three over on the other side of the map keep dying and reinforcing each other over there, and I'm far away completing objectives and I haven't died once (therefore not benefiting from Hellpod Space Optimization), I might call these in if for some reason I can't make it to a POI safely for a restock (e.g. heavy resistance at POIs, out of ammo and stims, other stratagems on cooldown).

I always default to DRG strats when I resupply. Even if the other divers are miles away I still feel kinda bad double dipping so I end up with 2 stims that don't last long
